To be fair, my two previous orders were delivered promptly to me. But to my dismay, my order of Segway Helmet--a safety product at that--was accidentally held by one of their staff hence resulting in delays in processing and delivery. I was actually meant to combine its purchase with another product so that I can avail of AfterPay. However, that option was not given to me at all since they ignored my emails and went on to deliver the first product. To add insult to injury, by the time they are ready to deliver the helmet, my account was already below the price of the product which means that there will be another delay because I have to deposit money to my account again in order for them to charge my account. You see, it is important to be prompt and sensitive to customer purchases since they might have spending plans that rely on weekly or fortnighly incomes. Plus, because the helmet is a safety product, I had to ride my scooter without wearing one hence posing a safety risk.
Is there anything below one star? If there is, I will rate them with it. To say that I am disappointed is very much an understatement

Mighty ape is the BEST nz website. I've ordered a few thins from here and they arrive in 2 days. The packaging is decent and the products are high quality. Also there is no fake stuff.

The experience when using this website to buy items has been great. Bought a mouse a while ago and a video game a few days ago and they all came in under 3 days, form New Zealand to Australia mind you!

I have ordered many times over the years and have had no problems with ordering, communication or delivery of orders. I like that orders in stock can be shipped whilst the rest of the order is sent when stock arrives. A company with reliability and communication in today's market is hard to find.

Absolutely love this company. Have never had a problem and will definitely order again. Although, my first order gave me some complimentary Mighty Ape chocolate. Great touch but haven’t received any since :(

Awesome company, I have madd thousands of dollars of purchases through this company and not once have they failed to deliver, I recently ordered and received a mouse / keyboard combo from them and one button was faulty, they replied back to my message on a short amount of time and arranged a return of the item the same day.

My wife purchased this item from them which was not what we expected , it was poorly described on there website . We just open the plastic packaging and find it’s not what we ordered . No customer care contact number then we manage to find an email address and it’s so frustrating. Such a poor class customer service we order a cardigan and what we find in packaging a printed piece of material . We told them we want to return it and we never touched the tags but he told us oh we can’t refund it if you open the packaging. How we suppose to find what’s inside if we don’t open the packaging? Such a poor and pathetic service ..

I have been asking them to ring me to find a solution. They hide their faces behind emails and do not even bother calling you even when you ask them. They are full of lies. They have not even offered me a solution but keep saying the pins are bent. Bents would not have been bent if it was not travelling to you and to your technicians. You broke the pins. NOT ME!!!

The incompetence of Mighty Ape's customer service is mind boggling. It took them an entire week to achieve absolutely nothing other than waste time.
A day after placing an order I received an email stating that it wasn't possible to verify my details and that customer service requested a photo of my drivers license as well as an image of a recent Visa statement of mine.
At this point I got a really bad feeling about the way this company conducts business, because (A) I've never had any vendor send me such an email before, and (B) I don't live in an English-speaking country, so how in the world are they planning on verifying my details using documents that are in a foreign language to them?
I decided to not make a big deal out of it and sent them the requested documents. After a few hours I received a confirmation email from customer service that the documents I sent were forwarded to the relevant party.
Another day has passed and I received an automated email asking me to rate the support I received since the status of the ticket has been changed to "solved". Wait, what? How is it solved? Does that mean that everything is in order and my package is on the way? But why hasn't the status of my order been updated then?
I let them know that I was unsatisfied with the support I received, and after about 2 days, on Saturday morning I received an email from yet another customer service representative that they haven't received any documents yet, even though all the documents can be viewed in my support ticket, under the attachments tab.
5 days have already passed and I started losing patience. I sent the documents once again, and this time I even included translations of these documents to prevent any further issues. I realize that they are probably not open on Sundays, so if they weren't going to resolve this issue until Tuesday then I might as well cancel the order since this whole ordeal would very likely be dragged on for an additional couple more days.
So that's what I did. I cancelled my order, which took another day, and ordered the same item from another online store that shipped it to me the following day. Great, at least now I know not to bother with Mighty Ape in the future.

So it started off ok. Aus post delivered it and put it in a very clearly unsafe spot (I called them and they agreed). It got stolen and I told the team.
They asked me to call auspost which I did. I got a case number and have it back to them. Asked for either a refund or a replacement to be sent as was expecting it for a couple of days ago.
Was told they had to investigate and couldn't do anything despite auspost agreeing with new on the phone that they would be compensated and it was an unsafe spot to leave it.
It's been a week since it was supposed to arrive and absolutely no care to their customer given I've done nothing wrong. They only seem to care about their bottom line.

Would never order from this company again, had to cancel, gave them ample time, they didn't respond and sent anyway then told me I could return for a refund. Spent over $13 on postage only to be told I had store credit (for the item only - which cost $12) completely useless customer service, rip off now they have both the money AND the item to resell.
I will never shop with them again and I will discourage others to do so.

Ordered a Kindle via their web site. All fine.
Then received a call from the company to say they wish to confirm my address. Fine. They then ask me to confirm my card details? This sounds like a scam? How do i know who is calling me and asking for my credit card details. I ask them why they need the info again, is there a problem with my card.? No problem they would just like to know my card details again!?? Emm this must be a scam?
Apparently it is not a scam this is how they do business. Visa has warned me that I should not give my card details unless it is via their secure payment system other wise I would not be covered.
In the end I gave up and took my custom elsewhere...be warned and be careful.

I have never purchased anything from Mighty Ape before, but when looking for new headphones their name came up on the shopping google search with the product I was looking at. Used the live chat service which was really good. Customer service person there very prompt with responses. I asked whether they could do a better price on the headphone. Which they can if you ask for a review and assume if you can give another suppliers price for them to match. Anyway they actually directed me to another similar item which was cheaper which is what I ended up buying. Same model, but it was branded to be used for PS4 , but could be used for PC which was what I was after. Now in actual fact the Ps4 version retails for more than the multi platform one I was looking at, but Mighty Ape had it at 119%discount. You cant knock that.
They rang me to confim my mailing address yesterday morning and they shipped that day. The item arrived just now at 11.30am . From NZ to AUS. Amazing.
Top marks Mighty Ape your staff are friendly and top notch. Also in the package was another $10 off on a next pruchase. Headphone box undamaged arrived through dhl. Didnt want to wait so paid the little extra for fast delivery. $17 Aus for express postage is cheap.
I highly recommend giving Mighty Ape a go when purchasing items on line.

I will start by saying I had ordered once prior to the order this review is about, and had no problems at all (Although it is worth mentioning I ordered Day One edition of a game, and received the Ten Year anniversary edition instead, though I was not fussed).
My most recent experience, however, was dire. It started with a supply problem, and lead to a while goose chase. The left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing, and I was being chased for money I had paid for more than a week after having paid it. I was palmed off to multiple different customer service staff, who told me conflicting information with payments. I was going to cancel the order the day it was shipped - fortunately for them. That was still almost 2 weeks after paying for an in stock item.
tl;dr I would struggle to order from Mighty Ape again. Very disappointed.
