They only make money for themselves, not you. Poor advise, poor trading. They make it extremely difficult to move your money or take it out. Very bureaucratic and impersonal. Stupid rules that they will not make exceptions to you. They blatantly lie to you on the phone. Every time you call you get a different answer for the same problem. Worst financial group I have ever done business with. Never again will I trust them with my money.

Very reliable trading platform! After joining with it, I have seen some improvement in my trading.

old school but still gets the job done. I use them for my IRA. but when I trade actively I use trade station because their tools are more for the active trader. plus I can negotiate lower fees with trade station, not Merrill. those big boys don't care about you lol

I just found out that Merrill is changing their policy on sub $5 stocks.
Starting August 2018 you can no longer buy them and in Sept you will no longer be able to sell them. I inquired as to why, the main reason is to protect us uninformed customers. I guess we are to stupid to make our own investment decisions. As a long term Merrill customer I was never asked or consulted as to how this is going to affect my long range plans.
As a Bank of America stock holder I am doubly outraged as I know we will lose clients. I no longer feel like a valued customer.

Good 1: Free trades for clients with accounts of 50k+.
Good 2: Clients with BoA accts can shift money between Merrill and BoA seamlessly.
Bad 1: Their website is poorly organised, non-intuitive, difficult to find anything.
Bad 2: Their trading platform is not user friendly. Was never able to get the software to shake hands with my computer. Have to maintain another brokerage to use their trading platform.
Bad 3: Their research data section is weak. Fidelity is a far better website for that.
Bad 4: Very difficult to arrange face time with any reps, because they are present at so few BoA branches, and where they are present, are rarely in.

I've bought from Lush countless times, and I have never been disappointed in a single product! I love their bubble bars and bath bombs, but the massage bars they offer are also awesome and the scent lingers all day. I always try different bath lines and keep coming back to lush over and over.

I chose Merrill Edge because of the Investment Broker I was fortunate to find at Friendly Center BOA in Greensboro, NC. I have only good things to say about his skill of his field, knowledge of his business, and his refreshing professionalism. I have received nothing short of "Top Shelf" performance from him; because of this Merrill Edge is my choice.

I wrote a letter regarding my account and received a form letter from Merrill Edge Pennington, NJ signed by **. At the end of the letter was the useless 800 number to Jacksonville, FL. So I did a bit of investigating and came up with (609) 303-6200. Dial that number, press 4 for the company directory. Then spell the person's last and first name. So, when you get an unhelpful response form letter signed by someone, Enter that person's name in the directory, get their phone number and 'reach out' to them!

Merrill Lynch/Bank of America's low-cost trading platform is a mediocre offering. It's not particularly easy to use nor is it any cheaper than other low-cost online brokers. I prefer TD Ameritrade or even Vanguard's online brokerage tool. Bank of America's retail banking customers are nudged into signing up but you would not be missing much if you took a pass on Merrill Edge.
Merrill Edge is rated 3.0 based on
