called the Bay City mi , store , i needed 2 stainless 4 inch heater pipes , a girl name Laura , said they have 2 instock , but won't ship it to my Mich , address 4 hrs away , won't take my credit card over the phone store policy . so i asked for store mgr , james lake , he won't do any thing for me either , so i called the Escanaba, mi store a girl named Amy , took my order over the phone. took my credit card over the phone , and ill get the parts in the mail next week , ill never go into the bay city store again , i think menards are getting to big , no service there , bad deal ,, there , i would have to travel 4 hrs to the store and the mgr , thought that was ok , he even put the part in his office , very sad ,, ok , robert poirier ,

My husband called Johnson Creek Menards inquiring about sump pumps. A very polite and knowledgeable girl named Ashley was able to answer all his questions. He asked if she could get the pump,hosing,clamps etc. all together so his wife could come pick it up. She was so willing and happy to do it. Wife went to plumbing desk and there was a cart ready to go!!! Thanks so much for going above and beyond Ashley, made for a stress free shopping experience for the wife.

Rip off store. Unsafe aisles, rarely sales help available, junk quality items, inane jingle music blasting constantly, rude management, refunds nearly impossible to get, misleading sale posters. You name it, if it’s unethical, rude, or your basic rip off scheme, they engage in it. I’ve lived here since before this store was built and had more bad experiences than good ones. Their plants are always half dead during the growing season, their tools are over priced and poor quality, and their food items are often outdated and just gross. They sell milk and dairy but do not keep their coolers at the correct temperature. So following safety guidelines is obviously not a priority for them. If you choose to shop there, be careful about EVERYTHING you pick up. You DO NOT want to go through their exchange/refund hassle.

Went to two different Menards to try and get some locks re-keyed, waited 45 minutes for the manager to come into work he was late got there and said he didn't have time. second store woman said she was alone people called in sick they were too hard to do. I'm spent close to $20,000 at Menards in the last 3 months and expect a little better service. Went to home Depot they were done instantly.

I ordered a rigid vinyl stair nosing, and some id dee ot folded it up multiple times and jammed it into a tiny box! Now it is permanently bent and creased and is NOT usable! This has to be glued and you can't even get it back into shape to where you could even glue it!
To make matters worse, you cannot call them. You have to email them with any issue.
I am a contractor doing a job and now I can't use this item. UNBELIEVABLE!

Terrible experience with Menards customer service and purchase of items as price quoted. Went to the Melrose Park store to purchase items as quoted over the phone. Other items found on the shelf are misrepresented because they are either in the wrong place or on the shelf in a different location without any price tag. Customer service would not honor the price quoted in both situations. Would not acknowledge that they told me, even when explained to the customer service people. Asked to speak to the store manager, after 20 min of waiting no one came to address the issue. Waste of time to ask for management to help. Don’t waste your time, gas, or money to go here. Go shop elsewhere for better customer service and prices as quoted or as marked where items are set on shelves. There was not even a effort to stop this from happening to the next customer. At the time there were few people in the store, so very simply Menards does not care about customers.

Too bad 0 stars isn't an option. Do not order from menards.com! There is no phone number to call if there is a problem with the order. You can email, but they won't respond. Their solution? Return the item for a 25% restocking fee. Return what?? The whole reason I was trying to get in touch with them was because the address was wrong and it won't be delivered to me!

There were more employees in blue shirt by far than CustomerS and 3 people walked by us Ana it was obvious we needed help and not 1 offered and we asked 2 of the 3 and told us to walk down to a desk which we then did and she could not help us do we waited 15 min at the location In the store waiting for help and when the guy finally came he had no interest in truly helping us. I ordered roof materials and roof top delivery. When the guy arrived 3gours before I was told they would come the delivery guy got his Hilo took off first pellet and stuck it on my lawn then he got the shingles and started lifting them but it would only go so high so he backed up and I looked and oil was squirting all over my driveway. He tried to let them down but it was stuck so he pulled out and gushed hydraulic oil all down the drive and on the road in front of my house I had oil dry so I put it on and he called someone to come and repair the Hilo three hours later they got it fixed .i paid people to help and sent them home! Finally he got them up and I unloaded the pellet alone! He gave some money for oil dry I had and left the mess for me to clean! Then I opened the other pellet and they delivered wrong vents they were all scratched and dented! I took them back and stood in the back for an hour waiting for a manager which I never got! They then sent me back to front then back again and then pointed out were I could find eight but only needed seven! When I got back to the front there were none of the eight and the rest were all the same as the deliveries all dented and scratched so I just walked out at this time and had to find them elsewhere!!! Needless to say I’ll never walk into menards again!!! Thank you for your time!!!

OK guys, I am going to retract my initial thoughts about Menards in Jeffersonville In. horrible customer service. What was originally a bad ordeal over the phone when we had our original bathroom vanity top delivered broken and them wanting to charge us a delivery fee for our inconvenience. Then the second was delivered broken also. Deb and I went there this morning ready for battle. Or at least I was ready for battle. I was quite surprised and relieved when Chris one of the managers came up and heard Deb through about our inconvenience with them. Low and behold Chris had much compassion for us. He refunded our money on not only the vanity but also our shipping costs. In turn we found a vanity top in the store for less money, then we shopped throughout the store and pretty much spent the entire refund. My hats off to Chris who put my confidence back into Menards. Now that is what customer service should be like. Now I am truly looking forward to them coming to Louisville.

Useless company I'll never shop here again and never recommend menards to anyone
I ordered 5 windows from the baycity mi store bayc 30301291 on June 10th 2019 the windows where special order 2 came from crestline 3 came from north view the north view came in on July 22ed they where ordered the wrong size the crestline came in the following day they came in defective the sales assistant wanted to argument with me I already have the windows removed from the house so in need they reorder them they came in 8/18/19 the crestline look ok and fit but the north view came in defective I send out a complaint for to the main office they send me back a response that I'm a self service do it yourself that they will reorder the windows and they are unable to do anything to help me besides reordering it's been over 3 months on bad windows and menards doesn't care because I'm a do it my selfer peeon

With few exceptions the employees in the departments are completely unknowledgeable of the items. It seems as if they hire one knowledgeable person in each department and then a bunch of students to fill in the rest. I have on several occasions seen three of them standing around their counter watching me search for a part for ten minutes, and never will one of them come over and ask if I need help. Then when I go ask them for help, they usually don't know what I'm looking for, or where its located. If you are lucky enough to be there on 1st shift, and its not a weekend, they will go find the only person that knows anything about that department, if he's not on vacation. If you need to talk to someone about lumber, they don't even bother to put any kids there to give you a blank stare when you ask a question. I usually go to L*we's, even though its an extra 10 miles and has a horribly crowded parking lot. Electrical and plumbing Contractor in East Spfld MO.

Went to buy over $1,800 worth of fencing material for my backyard. The workers treated me like I was a waste of their time and had no business buying material by myself because that is a “man’s” job. Took them forever to help me pull the materials I needed then had me wait outside in the pouring down rain for a forklift to load material onto my trailer only for no one to come. I had to go in and ask 3 separate times before a forklift showed up to only tell me I didn’t know how to help him line up the machine with my trailer (took him 20 min to line up a pallet on a trailer). He proceeded to then tell me he had more important things to do and drove off in the fork lift leaving me with 25 60 lb bags of cement (1,500 lbs in total) to put into the back of my truck by myself. The absolute worst customer service. Do NOT spend money there.

If I could do a negative star review I would. We purchased a thousand dollars in cabinets and the entire situation was a fiasco. The employees were rude, to the point that I was just in awe. “I will be better at closing” and “I’m sorry I asked” and “you can probably fix it with some glue” were actually things that were said to us by employees. The store manager, general manager and even corporate were of no help. There customer service is rigged in such a way, you cannot speak to ANYONE; everything has to be in writing. The general manager actually picked up his phone and hung up, of course this was before we had any contact, so this was his response to receive a call from any customer. I will NEVER shop here again and will discourage anyone from doing so. Maybe a drop in the bucket to such a large company, but their reputation should matter.

We purchased a new dishwasher (for much more than we intended to pay) mainly because the salesman promised a ten year warranty on parts including the racks. After installation we learned there was no such warranty, called the store and were assured twice that the 10 year warranty was guaranteed. It is not and when we wrote a detailed account to corporate headquarters all we got was a boilerplate "tough luck, but we are not responsible" letter. Stay away from this dishonest organization - they lie to make sales and defraud the public with impunity.

Can I give this location and organization a minus 500? Worst run ship in the lumber industry. Lazy store and corporate management, poorly organized and do not care about their customers, only their money. Didn't think I would every write a review like this, but when this company failed me, they failed immensely and did nothing to rectify. They owe me thousands of dollars for materials not delivered and think they are somehow justified in blaming me for LOSING my order!? Terrible systems and customer service is a complete train wreck.

I do not recommend renting a truck from menards. This is my second time there. We were going to buy their product and just rent a home depot truck but instead we decided to give menards rental truck a shot. They kept my deposit after accusing me of cracking a brake light that I am sure I did not do. Have rented from home depot several times and never had a problem.

Menards customer service isn't...it is indifferent\unresponsive, inept, unskilled or untrained, innocently or intentionally. I've searched the web and read other reviews of Menards which are unfavorable and now I can support and add my views & experience. Frankly, my voice will be merely one from the chorus – BBB reviewed Menards and Menards earned and ‘F’ from BBB with this prevalent comment: The business responded to the dispute but failed to make a good faith effort to resolve it.
I'd summarize their service or lack thereof as "institutional indifference" combined with a lack of familiarity with products and service. Staff of Menards hardware, Hardware Associate Buyer, Menard, Inc. as well as Menards “guest services” is unwilling or unable to write a reply to written requests, form a response or simply acknowledge a written contact in a business-like fashion; i.e., indifference and simply unresponsiveness, either intentionally or innocently.
My dispute? Trying to get what I paid for, the product was shorted on contents, not all parts and pieces were included in my shelving unit. I started trying to get replacements 10 days ago but the supplier was and is the wrong supplier Menards referred me to and Menards has not answered me at all despite cc of 14 email exchanges with the supplier – the wrong supplier and two hard copy letters to Eau Claire corporate offices.
“Save Big Money at Menards” is because they don’t spend it on service representatives or customer service.
I'm a simple customer with a simple problem that Menards has botched so badly Menards picture should be next to the Urban Dictionary definition of FUBAR.

Unfortunately the lowest I can go is 1 star. I have been trying to get menards to be accountable for all the headaches they have caused.
Had to bring back a broken vanity
Cashier person extremely rude at the check out
Had to return cracked tub surround only to get the wrong size
Also given the wrong size tub
Complained several times and finally got an email saying they would replace the surround at their cost. Been trying for almost a month to get refunded as they said it would be on them. No response. Sent additional emails and today I am told I have to deal with the store.
The store told me to call main office in eau claire, I called and was told I had to email, I emailed multiple times and now today they tell me I have to deal with the store. Menards needs to take accountability for all the mess and delays caused by them. This is ridiculous. You need to change your slogan from our customers are important to we don't care about our customers. More errors by menards then listed and rude assistant general manager

Once again Menards screws me. Bought pool-went on sale- we pay all cash- go in to get sale price difference & they only give it in store credit. So where is my savings if I have to still spend that $29 at the store when others got sale price we basically did not get it. Bottom line we still end up paying $297 plus tax and others got it 3 days later for $267. Moving on we are now officially switching to Home Depot and Lowes. Menards is HORRIBLE
