They sell very aggressively, particularly wanting a year in advance payment. But do all they can to not pay when the product does not function. They are not honest when there is a problem if it involves a return of money. They think older people cannot be proactive and will therefore quit trying to get what they are owed.
They also lie. They not only owe the $200# they also owe over $600 plus for something called the Freedom Guardian which xid not work according to them . sent back two days later. two months later no refund

The unit kept turning off, so I called and they sent another that did the same thing. Then charged my credit card $350 without telling me because I didn’t return the first unit. Never did anyone bother telling me to return the first one. Couldn’t they tell me to send it back (at my expense)? So I sent both back. I’ve given them 6 months to get it right. I’m finished.

After using this for 30 days I returned the items. The equipment was unreliable and the after asking to remove me they charged me for 3 months. 164.85 for items I never used or will use.

MedicalGuardian is a horrible company. I returned a fall detection necklace last year to receive a medical guard bracelet instead. The company never refunded me the big difference and refuses to because one of their incapable employees did not indicate in their data base that the necklace was returned. They obviously have no regard for their clients and choose to call their clients liars. Needless to say I am cancelling this service. Medical Guardian also uses AT&T as their carrier. Most people know how unreliable AT&T is which is another negative mark and has proven non successful when using the necklace. So I will use another company-one that treats their clients like they should be treated and who doesn’t call their clients liars.

My client ordered the device. It never arrived. However, a bill from the company in the amount of $1,078.65 PLUS $350 for the lost device was sent to my client as their FINAL ATTEMPT to receive payment. Nice scam.

I had read mixed reviews of this company, so I was somewhat skeptical. I had an extensive spinal fusion in May of this year and was looking for a system as I live alone. From the first call, they were very courteous and professional. They explained the pricing structure very clearly, and all of the equipment arrived promptly and was easy to set up. I ended up doing several false alarms as I accidentally hit a wall button or my locket, but they were always polite about it & just promptly reset the main unit. I would like to mention 2 outstanding customer support individuals: Katrina in the cancellation department. My friend was going to cancel me as she was paying less than I was. However, Katrina explained the reason and then credited me for a much more expensive unit that I really didn't need and gave me the same pricing deal that my friend had. This covered a base unit, a wrist monitor, a locket monitor, and 2 wall buttons. She was extremely helpful and honest. Jamil in the cancellation department. I was walking well & without my back brace around my home, so I called to return my equipment. I had been somewhat anxious about that as I still have to go through PT for my recovery as well as experiencing a knee that needs to be replaced and is not providing good support for walking. Jamil explained that I could have 2 free months to see how the PT was going to help and exactly when I would start being rebilled again. I appreciated his explaining that option which buys me another 2 months of support but I know when I need to cancel should I continue to do well. I trust this company as they have always been transparent and upfront about the cost and what services would be provided on that plan.

This is junk. My friend fell. Fall detection did not go off. I called and the said she didn’t push her button and it only work if she’s unconscious. What??? Plus the battery is only good for 12 hours.

I have had the most horrible experience with this company. I ordered a unit and told it was $39.95 per month. Within 5 minutes my visa was charged $600.00US. When I contacted them I was told it's a deal, buy 8 months get 2 free! Oh great deal! I immediately cancelled my order. The company sent out a unit anyway and now want me to pay to return it. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. Beware

medical guardian has experienced either a system failure or a cyber attack. I just go of the phone with them. the are not admitting anything , but they had to re-build our account info. practically from scratch. someone needes to investigate this. HELP !!!!!!!

Cancelled service and am still being billed. In August I cancelled this service and returned the equipment. The company denies receiving equipment and continues to bill us as of December.
The company refuses to return stolen monies by denying receipt of equipment.
The money they have stolen more than covers equipment cost, yet they continue to bill us.
Will have to close bank account in order to stop thievery.
AVOID THIS PACK OF THIEVES OR KISS YOUR MONEY GOODBYE!

While I cancelled my use of this service before ever signing a contract, they are continually charging me. When I speak with "customer service", they tell me I should not have been charged and my credit card will be credited but, not only does that not happen, they send false information to my card.
Do not use this company through Costco.

This company is a HUGE rip-off! STAY AWAY, do NOT waste your money. They stole $425.00 from my 86 year old Mother. We tried to cancel and put the service on hold while my Mother was in and out of multiple hospitals and nursing homes. In the mean time, they stole almost all of her pre-payments while she wasn't even able to use the device! This company is a bunch of CROOKS!!!! This must be illegal. We were so RIPPED OFF. Please do not support this unethical and unfair company! I wish I had been warned before I gave Medical Guardian $550.00 of my Mothers money!!!

BEWARE1111 DO NOT BECOME A CUSTOMER OF THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY!!!! This company gave a woman in New York my name, phone number and the last 4 numbers on my credit card. The representative told this woman I had ordered a medical alert system using her name and credit card. She called me very upset as she thought I was trying to steal her identify and charge my purchase to her. I explained to her I had ordered the product in my name and did not honestly know who she was and why she had my personal information. Once she calmed down and explained what had happened I was enraged at this poor excuse for a business. I emailed the supervisor of Avant (more info on him below) and requested he call me, twice. Avant a sales person lied to me while selling me a medical ale rt system. He gave me an 800 number stating this was his direct personal number. When I tried calling a few days later I learned the number he gave me was a general number with different persons answering the phone, when I requested to speak to Avant the 3 people I spoke to did not know who he was. Also e-mailed his 3 times with no response. When I contacted his supervisor he just made a lame, false excuse. I sent the unit back unopened as I want nothing to do with this unscrupulous, unethical, lying company!!!!!!!!!

Your machine is not as advertised, from the price quoted on the phone, to the small print on the back of your paperwork. I mailed it back immediately for a full refund. The information this company asked for was 4
emergency contacts. They didn't ask what my illness's are, my medications, medicines I may be allergic to. They say they have no liability for anything yet they can call the business where I am standing and ask if I really need an ambulance. Thus delaying any help that may arrive on time. It happens I have congestive heart failure, so I am sure you understand how I feel. If a company doesn't care about your
diagnosis or medications how they going to alert a hospital about the immediate care I need. If you have no health issues then this machine
may work for you, but not for anyone seriously ill. I am a retired attorney
so I know how to protect myself. Please be careful.. Also when I

I ordered the medical guardian for my mother. I was taking a trip up to see her and could hook it up for her. It arrived after I left (due to weather). Mom could not find a suitable outlet in her house (built in the 50s), and thought it was more than she wanted. She packed it up and returned it. Since I had paid a year in advance, I was credited back all but three months worth. Since we never activated it, and returned it quickly.......I wish someone would have mentioned that there is a 3 month minimum. They contacted me after the review and made sure I was whole. Thank you, medical guardian. I changed the rating to full satisfaction.

A lot of time we are alone and if we fall we won't know how long we will be laying there it

My mother used Medical Guardian , living by her self she felt safe with her fall alert . The one time I did need to call customer service they were great . Returning the equipment was a snap . So glad they were there for the family . Would highly recommend this company to anyone . Thank you .

After researching online, Medical Guardian had one of the best reviews possible, so I felt good about signing my sister up. Our representative on the phone took my information down and sent a confirmation email. I noticed he had my sister's address down incorrectly and also had my phone number down as hers. When I called to rectify it, he said he would call back. He did and I explained about the address but before I could also tell him about the phone number he told me he would have to call me back. I waited over two hours, then called him again. After my call and corrections I ask him to send an updated confirmation, which he did. On the second confirmation the her info. was correct. When we received the unit in a box, there were no directions/info. included. Also, on the package, her address was incorrect again, with a new wrong address! Luckily our mailman noticed the mistake and delivered it anyhow. As an emergency service company, getting the patients address and phone correct is vital! Called rep. back twice. He never returned call. We were about to cancel our service and called a different number from the representatives. We got a very nice woman on this call who promised to rectify the info., send out the booklet of instructions, and credited us one month for our inconvenience. I am still worried that everything will go smoothly, if and when my sister ever needed to push the emergency button. I plan to double check that everything is in proper order. NOT a good start.....

I ordered the Home Guardian for my mother on January 10, 2017 and was promised expedited shipping & should have received January 13th. After calls to Customer Service about not receiving tracking information, I found out on 1/13/17 that it was still in processing at FedEx. I was then promised that it would be delivered 1/16/17 (today), but still haven't received a tracking number, so doubt very seriously that my mother will receive today either.
I'm hoping that their medical service is better than their shipping service because I was very concerned about getting the best medical alert service for my mother and now I'm not so sure I accomplished that!

Fortunately we have not had to use the alert system for an emergencyou. My review is based on the staff and response time when we have tested the monitor. I am very pleased with both.
