They (on MediaFire) know who I am. I was one of their old users, since 2004.
I used to store files and download them from the site from time to time; but in the beginnings of this year, trying to look for my old files, I never found them.
The most terrible thing is that now (November 2019), I can't even access the site.
Is anyone there? Nobody comes up on chat. Purchased a software product and suddenly medi fire was in the middle. Would not download product file. System loops in failing -- rebuilding transmit key-- tails on re-transmit. Multiple request over a ohe hour eriod.

Good interface and easy to use, despite bad history with annoying pop up ads and malware.

I purchased The Office T.V. series and it is recorded with a DVR and skipped commercials. Not even in HD quality. Will be reporting these false company and shutting them down!

The website itself is safe, but some of the downloads are not. Be careful.

Great storage and the speed to download was awesome. It is really good.
I really think they should improve the UI of their mobile app and also what I hate about Mediafire today is that they are now implementing pop under ads on their download section and that's where all things turned out to be bad and what's the worst thing that could happen? Well redirect me to some malicious and phishing sites! Totally a disgrace.

I like many others, did not signup for a monthly charge it was supposed to be a one-time fee. I then get charged a monthly fee. At one point I had to upgrade to even get the option to cancel the account. I could not reach support, when they finally responded they would not refund my money. There were a lot more steps involved in trying to cancel this account. I think they make it difficult to cancel on purpose.

Me as a gamer on video games play some games where there some things u wanna change and how do u do that? simple download mods but just not from this website the site can hack u and steal ur pc if u download any thing from it, it has a change to take over ur pc/computer.There is a reason that all the good anti virus programs will just remove it from ur pc so u cant accese it or just when ever get on it it will say "This website isnt safe" There is a reason for that and that is it have taken over up to 300 pc/computers on the last three years. Stay safe :D

MediaFire two times I have been screwed over downloading Video Game Mods. The Simpsons Hit and Run for PC and Recently a Fallout New Vegas. If you are Video Game Modder or Video Game Mod Fan never use this website.
The website loves saying: Handles all of your file needs. Honestly, I would use portable Hard-Drives then have Nightmares my File would be a takedown. As well the website loves using entertainment software association to ruin the website. No Question asks takedown. That truly unfair.

Mediafire is a good site but be careful what you download, scan with a AV (like Avira) before installing the software if its a setup.

Well I was earlier on today looking for within my BlackBerry device for a downloaded app which would put me off misery and yep once I enabled the camera back up, it's now all brilliance.
I've got a 12gig from the app which is plenty of happy backing up in case my external memory card decides to die on me!
It's going to be mind torture to be behind it, but I reckon within two hours, will all be done and dusted!
An app I once snabbed as being awful I now have re-discovered as being really useful.
Well done to the developer to make such a great tool!

mediafire.com pretty good site i guess, basically good for uploading, downloading and sharing things, still the site has some good some less good links, it is advised to only use this site with adblock or some harmful unwanted bugs might escape through the gaps.. take caution people :)

After seeing dropbox destroying download links, this seems okay at avoiding this.
I've realized it is not the site's fault for having malicious ads (which is why I gave a higher rating than before), as it is the ad network prone to attack. Thanks to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgs8h2pu-1I instead of clicking on the true download button (I said true because ads can be deceptive on the display) you would right-click on it instead and "save link as" or something similar (I'm using Google Chrome by the way). Just make sure your browser is up to date and so is your anti-malware software.
I would rather have anti-malware and avoid triggering ads than to use an ad-blocker because using ad-blockers could cause the site to do what photobucket have done.
I do dislike when ads do these following:
-Popups, and new tabs being opened.
-Do anything else besides closing when I wanted to close if it is a in-window box that prevents me from using the site (fake close buttons are examples of this)
-Redirects to any scam sites (tech support scams, congratulations), Amazon cards or just about any site.
But I do dislike when sites be fallen because of the overuse of ad blockers AND that nobody is reporting them, causing attacks to be secret and makes this entire situation even worse.
If you are a professional anti-malware company that voluntarily help with websites be safe (I'm looking at you, malwarebytes), please at least weekly check this site' ad network. It's a popular site and that can be a big target for a large number of users.

This site has served ads which attempted to install unwanted software three times in the past three months. When I attempted to contact their support service, I was told to report the issue at another website and given a link to a website that returns as nonexistent.

Un sitio para descargar archivos, y como todos ellos, es igual de seguro como el sitio del que provenga, mas tiene mucho mas control que otros, por lo tanto es de confianza.

ABSOLUTELY NO POINT IN SPENDING A.N.Y. MONEY BUYING A "PRO" SUBSCRIPTION!! These people just made an upload site, and try to sell a service without providing ANY support for it. If it doesn't work (a LOT of things, like the 1-time download links they advertise they have!!), you can email them, but all you'll ever get is automated replies. AT BEST, you MAY get a human to reply at SOME POINT (...), but all you'll get from him/her is a "standardized" reply sending you a doc or link of instructions (which was already available on their site before you wrote to them...). So, essentially, that too is an "automated" reply! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE, THEY WILL TAKE IT AND GIVE YOU NOTHING BACK.

Good site but pay attention to what program you are downloading because some of them can be virus or dangerous program that want to control you against privacy.
Be careful about what you are downloading.
