I just realized that Mediacrib has been deducting the amount of US44.95 monthly from my debit card since Oct 2013 to Apr 2014 and I did not even subscribe to Mediacrib! I am not sure how did they get hold of my debit card details and I want a full refund!

Trapped into subscribing
I subscribed with the specific purpose of downloading a particular book and happy to pay for it. Only to find that I had been scammed into a subscription I do not want. When I used the tools on the site to email them the mail address came up as "incorrect email address" Just not on. Within 10 minutes of subscribing, I have cancelled and am reporting them to the card division of my Bank.

I have never subscribed to this account
I have recently received my credit card bill and to my surprise I have two charges in the amount of $35.66 and $35.67. One transaction date of March 6 and the other on April 5. I have NEVER even heard of your company lat alone subscribed to it. This is fraud and you will be returning my money and will be reported to the proper authorities

Mediacrib took my money
Used "free" opportunity to download something. They accessed my account for a $1 fee then every month charged me $34.95 for 3 months. They said they would reimburse me for 2 of the months. That I should have read the terms and conditions. I didn't even know nor could I find them when I went back.

Trap for "trial subscribers"
The website offers free media, if you register. The media I wanted wasn't delivered. The terms of the registration aren't disclosed and you don't realize that you signed up for a subscription or what it costs nor how to cancel. Once you are caught, you go to their website, whose sole purpose is to accept cancellation orders and to explain how you got caught. But I think people are actually automatically cancelled after being charged once, just to avoid continuing fraud and serious complaints. This is clever "back-end transparency". The phone number is not answered and you can't send any message or raise any person. They figure, you are cancelled, so what's your beef? Just take your lumps and go away.
