As an older guy suffering from a urinary tract infection, I was unable to schedule a timely visit to my Primary care provider. I called the nurses at Humana, available by phone, to see if there was something I could do. The nurse I spoke with enthusiastically referred me to MDLIVE.
In my experience, enrollment was not simple. A part of the process requires confirming a password sent by email, which I never received.

On 9-25-19 I setup my account on Mdlive
I contacted Dr Misba Lateef. She asked for my symptoms and prescribed medication to treat my allergies. She ask my for pharmacy info. And was going to send the prescription to the pharmacist. 2 hours later the pharmacist never recieved anything from this doctor. I had to call Mdlive and I spoke to someone about my situation. She said she would contact some sort of team to investigate. Well 20 minutes before the pharmacy closes i received a text thst they sent the prescription. But now I have to wait till the next day to get my prescription. This company needs to monitor there customer service. I totally will never use this service again. Any I am sure they will still get there money from me.

This is the second time have used this service. Filled out all the information and the on line doctor apparently did not read any of it. Gave me a standard diagnosis with prescription way under what was needed. The nurse that called -could not understand her at all. Ended up in urgent care with a much stronger antibiotic. In short, I ended up being sick for 10 extra days

Be mindful you may pay for a consult and still not be treated in many cases. You may spend 50 bucks to be told what you already know. Best to put money towards an in person visit in my opinion.

I had a medical emergency this morning and needed to use this service. This was my first experience with it and I LOVE IT!!! I will definitely use it again in the future. My emergency was a dental abscess - the left side of my face is very swollen and I have trouble talking. I needed customer service to help me because my insurance plans changed and I didn't realize I needed to create a new account under the new insurance. The man I spoke to was extremely helpful. He was patient while listening to me speak slowly so my words could be understood (again, swollen mouth so talking clearly was a challenge). My phone kept dropping the call and each time he called me back immediately, confirming all my details each time to confirm that it was me he was speaking with. I received a call from a doctor in less than 2 minutes from talking to the customer service agent. The doctor was very nice and seemed genuinely concerned about me. I appreciate how quick this service works and how fast the doctor sent my prescriptions to the pharmacy. This entire process, start to finish with the customer service agent and the doctor took about 10 minutes or less. I'm sure it would have been even less if I didn't change insurance. When you're feeling lousy and need a doctor, you don't want to wait around for a call back or sit in the urgent care. You want immediate care from someone that truly wants to help you and that's exactly what I received. I highly recommend this service!!

WASTE OF TIME AND NO CARE. Scheduled an appointment and the provider didn't show up after 15 minutes. I called customer service and they confirmed I had the correct time and that the provider had logged in an hour earlier and marked me as a no show. We are in different time zones however they confirmed that the time listed in my zone was correct. I arranged my entire day for this appointment, including childcare, and they were unable to reschedule within a timely matter. DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME.

Disgraceful service for a company that is involved in health care. The Doctor was fine and the wait was only 30 mins but that is the end of the good part.
Prescription never showed up at the CVS pharmacy. 5 hours, three calls to customer service at MDLIVE and two trip to CVS Still no resolution...total runaround. The customer service people have no interest in resolving problems, just mindlessly giving lip service to "escalate" issues. Oh..even got the "re-escalate" line. They need to train and hire some competent people.

First experience was great. Dr called me back w/in an hour. The second time I sought medical help, the MD live phone number was somehow blocked by my phone. After hours try to connect and speaking with representatives, I finally received care via my husband’s phone number. I never physically blocked the number. My experience with therapist service has been great.

I called MDLIVE before our vacation Because I felt terrible the day we were leaving. I was told that it was possible allergies or viral, it ended up being pneumonia. Ruined our entire vacation.

I was in very bad pain and I voiced to the Dr. that I went to eye doctor thinking I had an eye infection but that wasn't it but told it was a sinus issue. I secondly used MDLIVE and was told just to take ibuprofen. I stated I had already don't that and I was in got pain. I ask if maybe antibiotics could be given, he told me NO not for 10 days. Now to me that did not make sense due to the pain I explained I was in. Then I ask do you think Sudafed will help, he say it could. SO I ask what kind since there was many (I was in Walgreens already)and his response was ANY KIND. At this point I WAS DONE!! I did go to an Urgent Care and I did indeed have a Sinus Infection.

It was the unknown that I was not sure. For instance, who would be the doctor, whether this person has the adequate experience to diagnosis, and whether this person would follow up if something changes later. I tried it. It was convenient and I don’t need to travel to the doctor office. I don’t know if I would try again.

I must preface my review by saying that the care I received was excellent.
My review is dealing directly with how MDLIVE verified insurance. Despite multiple attempts to "confirm my insurance information" including calling and speaking to a representative and many attempts to follow the directions given by the message I received from MDLIVE, my information never updated. In fact, via the web it resulted in an error each time I submitted the form. My husband's account had no difficulty updating with the same insurance. I am very frustrated that I had to pay $44 instead of my paltry copay.
