I signed up for Manhattan Prep's 9 week in person classes with Daniel Child. Although I had done some prior self-study, I wanted to sign up for classes to better understand GMAT strategies and how to apply them during the test. The classes were excellent- the curriculum is very comprehensive and provides great explanations to further the student's understanding of GMAT strategies. Danny is an incredible instructor who is not only dedicated to his students but is also capable of breaking down the most seemingly complicated GMAT questions into easily digestible information. Danny's enthusiasm for teaching and his commitment to his students make him a valuable resource to leverage when preparing for the GMAT and for getting further insight into business school itself. I've not only enjoyed taking classes with Danny, but I've also managed to improve my score by over 150 points over the course of 9 weeks owing to Danny's impressive knowledge of the GMAT and his insightful guidance on test-taking strategies. Danny Child is a wonderful, charismatic and dedicated instructor whose passion for teaching is felt in the classroom, and I would highly recommend him to any business school applicant hoping to achieve a competitive score for the GMAT.

I bought the set of books from this company to avail of the 6 free practice tests offered with a code in the back of the book. When I tried to enter the code into the website, I was informed that Manhattan Prep would not honour the code from the back of the book because I did not buy the book from them.
This company has published books which are sold on Amazon and other online books stores. However, because I did not purchases the books from Manhattan Prep I must return the books.

My Manhattan Prep class saved me! I procrastinated studying for the GMAT for such a long time and the class gave me the structure to actually stick to it. I also had incredible instructor, Daniel Child. He broke down the concepts extremely well and was really thoughtful about supporting each student in the class. I always felt comfortable asking questions and reaching out for additional support... he never made me feel bad about being a pest lol. The class really paid off. My score jumped beyond my wildest dreams and I ended up getting into HBS. As dramatic as is sounds, that class changed everything for me.

I really appreciated the insights given by Avi and I would recommend anyone to take his class. This will open your eyes in many ways, when it comes to thinking and reasoning. His style is like no other and you have to take just one class to confirm what I am saying. My interaction with Dmitry was short but revealing that he is another gem from Manhattan Prep.

Overall a wonderful experience. I took my course to prep for the EA and it was short, concise and practical. The class sessions were full of great content and the homework/assignments throughout the week made all the different in my score. In about 6 short weeks I was ready for the EA and got above my target score.

I studied on my own, using Manhattan Prep's online portal and 10 hours of one-on-one time with Keith Blume. Keith is responsive to e-mails (scheduling meet-ups, etc) and helped me identify strategies to improve my score. I used Keith for 1) setting up my initial plan-of-action and 2) going over (in person) the questions I got wrong on my practice tests. I got a 630 on my first MPrep practice exam and a 710 on the actual GMAT nine months later. My only caveat is that I can only vouch for Keith on the quantitative side--my rapport with him did not cover verbal, as I was already proficient in that regard.
I only have good things to say about Keith's tutoring.

Overall, the class was great. I learned a great deal from Avi and took some new methods in attacking the GMAT. I definitely took a different approach now when I'm doing exercises, which I never thought before.
I do wish however that we had more time in tackling topics and strategies during class instead of solely looking at questions.

I did GRE private tutoring with John Cho and highly recommend him. John was an incredibly thoughtful and creative instructor and made every minute of our tutorials count. His sessions were well structured. We covered all content and strategy areas but he also offered helpful feedback on the ones I should prioritize based on his assessment of my strengths and weaknesses.
I hit a wall in my studies about halfway through and struggled to maintain confidence that I could reach my test goals and more specifically, improve my quant score. John was really supportive in a genuine way. He helped me reframe my thinking around my studies and adopt a new approach that worked better. I got V164/Q168 (this hugely exceeded my Q164 goal).

I took the in-person 9 week course with Dave Mahler. I highly recommend the course and Dave Mahler is a great instructor. My score went from an initial 640 mock exam up to 700 in my first attempt following the class. After a post exam assessment session with Dave, my score improved to 770 in 3 weeks.
I have a demanding work schedule. My plan to study GMAT is to find the most efficient and effective way and get the exam done as soon as possible. Manhattan Prep 9-week in-person course fits this criteria very well. It is an in-person classroom environment with a positive and encouraging vibe. The books are very well-written. The online portal and interact online courses are easy to navigate.
Dave is such an effective teacher, and even though Manhattan GMAT came well reviewed, Dave exceeded my expectations as a teacher. I remember once a student mentioned that she did 100+ SC questions at once during on a plane. Dave immediately said this was a bad idea and explained why just jamming questions without reviewing answer choices wouldn’t help.
He was responsive via email, was willing to meet with students before and after class. He shared with us via email after class a unique flash card method to help us memorize key concept. That has been very help throughout my preparation.
In the middle of the 9 week course, I reached out to Dave and expressed my concern on Verbal, in particularly SC. Dave looked into my situation and suggested me to practice pattern recognition. After my first attempt, we looked at the ESR together, he suggested me to focus on the logic on Analysis/Critique type of questions. Those are just some examples of tips and suggestions Dave has given to me during and after the course. They have been very helpful.
Manhattan Prep in-person course + excellent instructor- Dave Mahler is the formula to success on GMAT!
