We have been partnering up with Mangopay for a few years now. After the integration, which took a little longer than expected, we are very happy with the easy and seamless workflow. We needed a marketplace solution for payments and after conducting an extensive due diligence of merchants in Europe, MangoPay came out on top.
Their process of assessment on our business was professional and thorough. It took time to complete the necessary documentation and pass the KYC process but this only gave us confidence that we were dealing with a professional body and that one of the most important aspects of our marketplace, payments, was about to be in trusted and good hands.
The split payments functionality and wallet account process gives us the control and flexibility we need as the marketplace and our vendors the comfort of having their own dedicated funds wallet.
We're three months into processing payments with MangoPay and are extremely happy with our decision.

We have had much bigger expectations than the reality is. PayPal Payment was promised us 1,5 year ago to be part of Mangopay. And this was one of the main reasons why we decided to go with this company. There are hidden costs/ monthly above 30 EUR when you don’t sell through their platform. Also, there is no focus on German market needs. This platform is very user and business unfriendly and the flow of “KYC” is killing the online business. The invoices are very unclear. The win and the cost are putted together in one “invoice” or legal document. This makes a properly accounting basically impossible. The support is answering fast, but its’s better you speak English as well.

Mango Pay is one of a few PSPs which offer a solution for platform solutions (e.g. carpooling) at reasonable prices in compliance with the current legal situation. This made them our choice.
When ecountering sales questions we got fast and experienced replies by their support team.
We encountered some problems with the technical implementation (thus only 4/5 stars). But these were solved in the end with help from their support as well.

Really poor experience. This platform cost us a lot of business due to orders constantly failing. The most upsetting part of this experience was the terrible customer service and their failure to accept any responsibility. You will struggle to speak with or get a call back from anyone senior despite our numerous requests and they will dodge any complaints with non-actionable excuses. Be careful if you are a small business in the UK!

After reading the reviews I was very sceptical about whether I used them or joined the Stripe bandwagon. I had a chat with the UK account manager, she was lovely and very helpful to both me and my development team in setting up. This was not support we had been used to with Stripe or PayPal so we did appreciate it. Due to this support we decided to integrate and have been using their platform to transact for over a month now. From my personal experience I am glad I did not focus on the few bad reviews and did talk to the team.
Like with any company there are some bad aspects. Their legal and finance team could definitely be more responsive. But luckily their support team makes up for the lack of responsiveness of those two teams.
Overall, improve some aspects of the support you have and maybe try integrating more mobile focused payment methods.

We have been using Mangopay as a business for some time now, and the frustrations are mounting. Not only is it impossible to get hold of anyone by phone, even when we do find our account manager, she has excuses for everything and doesn't answer questions. Nothing has improved feature wise since we started using them, and if anything their service has worsened as has their product. They have been unhelpful and unsupportive with what we are trying to accomplish with our business and say all our issues are our own fault (!) The new dashboard they have just introduced has added to our workload, and is hard to use despite us giving feedback whilst in beta saying it wasn't fit for purposes. We are searching for a new supplier and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

This company is not professional at all. We contacted the commercial service and they said that they can't work with our company because of the nature of our business! We explained to him that some of our competitors who are doing the same business are their clients. Very Poor Commercial Approach.

- Customer service - employees are genrally polite and try to help, but are difficult to contact (phone often rings out), often clueless as to who is the right person to solve issues, reliant on senior members of the team, and woefully understaffed.
- Lack of communication between Finance and Legal: holds up payments
- Problem solving issues: funds often go missing, are not reconciled correctly, or are slow in being allocated. Never is a reason for this given, meaning MP never take accountability even when the fault is clearly with them.
- Lack of continuity and inability to run accounts properly: an issue you iron out with them weeks/months earlier, and despite subsequent successful transaction, mysteriously arises further along the line. This is incredibly poor management of an account and causes huge issues for clients.
- The portal is clunky and difficult to use

Worst payment solution ever and their customer service are to no use at all. We have tried to contact them repeatedly and they mostly don't answer. When they do it is often not the solution for the issue we are trying to solve.
We have taken the decision to move all of our account to another payment service, hopefully it will go smoother to move our accounts than making Mangopay to work.
I advise people to not use their service if they want it to go smooth with their payments.
