This is a tourist trap to avoid. Lofoten is absolutely stunning, not to be missed! But stay away from the Viking museum, it’s mediocre at best. Example: I have 4 children, one is a 6 year old girl who loves horses. They offer a 5 minute trip (included in the ticket) on a horse, led by a Norwegian woman and her daughter (the one with the nose-ring and blond and pink hair) my daughter wanted to go again while the rest of my family went rowing on a Viking boat. As soon as we got there the Woman in charge blurted out: “ no no no, we only allow one trip per child” I told her that my other 3 boys didn’t want to ride a horse, surely she could take another ride? No! She said, we only allow one ride per child. Meanwhile my daughter was visible upset, then she started crying. I begged the woman to allow her another ride (there were only 2 other children in the line) she refused!!!
Rarely have I met a more insensitive woman in my life! They need to educate their staff in hospitality and manners, find someone who adores children! Apart from that, value for money: I’d give it a 2 star. Save your money (and vits!) go to Nosfjord instead or something else but stay away from this tourist trap. Be blessed.
