I recently purchased 2 pocketbooks. I have purchased a number of items in the past from JWHulme, and have always loved the quality of the leather and the beautiful designs.
The quality of the leather has diminished significantly. I do not feel that these are “heirloom” quality. I think that I could have gotten nicer pocketbooks at TJMaxx.
Disappointed. And can’t return....
“Final sale”...not worth the money

Through this purchase I learned that JW Hulme is now part of a larger company and it appears products are no longer made in St Paul. While I understand that companies often do this and I don’t begrudge the company for choosing this decision, it takes from the experience and idea that I was supporting a local small business.

I recently purchased the Charles Messenger Briefcase and the beautiful craftsmanship as well as top leather materials make it my favorite and only work bag i'll ever need. Time to watch it age and patina for a lifetime of use. My only dissatisfaction with my experience was the customer service support. I reached out for further information on this bag and never got a response. Maybe they'll see this post and get back to me....
