I signed up for an "just answer" service in March. When i saw i was continuing to be charged i called and cancelled any further membership - they agreed - July 9th i get a voicemail saying i need to call and cancel or they are going to charge me $299.99 - I called and they told me the only way to get my refund is to follow their instructions on my computer - when i realized they were getting control of my computer to hack me I accused them of this being a scam - they insisted this was the only way they could give me a refund - I told them i was going to report them - I still have the voicemail.

Tried to fix my multifunction copier. Justanswer.com popped up as a solution remedy. Membership 1 dollar for 7 days. They attempted to entice me to pay for services which was totally bogus. 1 person emailed to pay 5 dollars for 7 days and then 40 dollars approx. to have someone connect to my computer
After talking to 5 people the best recommendation was to power off and power on the multifunction device. After the same error was repeated he asked me if I was still under warranty on my machine. It was a joke. They never answer any question directly. i.e where do I find the SD card. This is 1 HUGE Scam perpetrated by this company.

In contacting mayo Clinic , I was directed to "Just Answer" to address pain resulting from procedure performed Essentia health, Duluth. I was charged $50.00 for this service (5-28-19). I was aware of this expense, which i approved.
In reviewing my CC statement (6-4-19 I noticed a membership fee for $28.00, recorded 6-3-19, which I didn't approve, I was unaware of this commitment tagged on to conversation with physician. I contacted "Just Answer" and requested $28.00 be returned to me. Request was denied.
I would like you to retrieve my $28.00.

I had a chat with a woman who addressed the messages I sent appropriately, but she answered suspiciously quickly. It might have been a well-programmed robot. After a few questions from her that I answered, "she" redirected me to a page of which said I had to pay if satisfied with the doctor's answer; however, I was suspicious and decided to leave.

If you are looking for a simple answer to a question on Google and this pops up, know in advance that the ONLY way you will get an answer from this is by paying a considerable amount of money. Also, the 'people' who type to you are just an intuitive program so don't be fooled. You will also get nailed with one or more pop-ups when you attempt to leave.

Asking 30$$$ for answers to questions you can get easily for free!!!

Probably not a scam, but unethical in the way it leads you on. NOT FREE.
First, they have you enter your question and several other details (which may take a lot of time). Only after that do they force you to enter an email address, and only after that do they tell you how much an answer will cost (i.e. NOT free): between $14 and $20 USD.

Tells you to go through multiple steps to get an expert to answer your question, and at the very last moment it asks you to pay 28 dollars or so for an answer. I typed out my huge question, explaining in detail everything that was going wrong (I had a question about my cat) and at the very end I found out that it requests payment. Very suspicious, because the website obviously seems to be as simple as yahoo answers and sites like that. Additionally, I have heard that many people get over-charged, charged for nothing, and have had awful and non-helpful answers given to them.
Don't expect to ask a simple question and get a simple answer. I had to ask the same SIMPLE question 4 times before I got an appropriate answer.
I will say, however, when I called to complain, customer service was very accommodating, resolved my issue and issued a refund.

Charged my card but did not provide answer
The website tells you that you ask legal questions and you get legal answers within a few seconds for a fee, says there are lawyers online. As soon as i entered my card info, the screen disappeared, no answer came through, but my card was charged. There is a phone no. listed but it was after hours. I sent out a complaint email via chat on their website, no response as well.

The site appears to be deceptive in not being upfront with its payment policy for answers. Customers will mistakenly think they are getting "free tech help" when they are not. Privacy policies are not clearly viewable on website. Just as important, there are plenty of qualified free computer help forums on-line that do an excellent job of assisting people with computer help. Quality software providers have forums and help services that users can search for free assistence.
