Audi purchase from Cupar dealership, loads of problems in the first 2 months. The garage has taken no ownership with the issues and I am still without resolution. An extremely poor customer experience I have been left extremely frustrated and out of pocket. If you are considering buying a car from this company please hope nothing goes wrong with the car as they avoid at all costs to help. Management team would not help.

Sadly neither John Clark Volvo Edinburgh or John Clark BMW Tayside seem to be in the business of selling cars. I am about to purchase either a new Volvo or BMW. Both dealers clearly have too many customers and don’t need any more! Volvo make getting quotes very challenging - having to chase, tease information out of the salesman and no effort to sell. BMW at the same time send you a video about a car you showed no interest in, even after you were crystal clear on your request and specific on the car; then they don’t return calls.

I called BMW Aberdeen in the early morning to reserve a used car, explained I was from Edinburgh and need about 2 hours and a half on the motorway, made an appointment at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, change all the plans of the day. leave Edinburgh and heading to this dealer at 11:30. received a call from the sales at around 2 pm when I was about 30 miles away from this dealer which told me the car had been sold.complain to sales manager and ask the reason, the manager was very rude, answer the phone arrogantly: we have 14 sales here anyone can sell the car I only can tell you the car had gone, there is nothing else I can do. the manner feels like a hooligan. well, it took me 5 hours on the motorway. why humans need a concept called appointment. It is absolute nonsense for this company. the shameless manager leads a group of shameless sales. this company even lack basic credit. bring huge shame for BMW.

I went into Nissan Dealership in Aberdeen (Specialist Cars Nissan) for an MOT on 3rd Dec 2019, vehicle came out of MOT damaged on the front Silver Grills, when i inquired about this the Service manager Bryan Borwick claimed that i brought the vehicle that way which i resented and he called the Police on me and attempted to throw me out of the dealership. I demanded for him to review the CCTV footage so we can all be convinced and he started and after a while he stopped and insisted the police came to arrest me.- ( I have recording of this.)
The police who came inspected the my vehicle and confirmed to me that my vehicle was not involved in any collision as claimed by Bryan and damaged may have been occurred in the dealership since the cuts were fresh and looked buffered however didn't advise Nissan about this because it was a civil issue not criminal.
The sales manager Dale Charite got involved and promised to get in contact with me with feedback, to my surprise on Monday 10/Dec he called to tell me its been agreed nothing will be done.
I have since left the vehicle in the dealership until someone can check the CCTV footage and advise me what happened to my vehicle.
it is my view that while my vehicle was taken in for MOT it got damage in the process and the dealership now wants to push the cost on me which i find unacceptable and scandalous.
Note: I demanded for an Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as this is my right as a customer but Bryan laughed at me and shut the door of his office. No information of ADR was provided to me.
Let me state here that Bryan Bullied and intimidated me by calling the police on me and raised his voice repeatedly. I reminded him i spent £20k buying this vehicle and demanded good customer service.

I wouldn't go near any garage that charges additional admin costs. If you are honest the cost is up front black and white. Now on the next point i could be wrong but i couldn't see what the admin fees cost or an explanation of why they are there and not added to the asking price for all to see. Just stay away from companies like this because it sets a standard of hiding facts

A further update to the purchase of a Range Rover Vogue from MotorChoice Edinburgh. Forget the botched pre-sale repair, forget the broken promises of a parcel shelf. Forget the failure to contact me after making a complaint. Why don't you forget to notify the DVLA that you sold me the car, oh sorry you did forget to notify them. Now I have to complete extra paperwork because of The failures of the John Clark Motor Group

The service from BMW Aberdeen must be the worst experience from any sales organisation I have ever experienced, I have had 2 cars from them and wish I had listened to my partner on the second occasion and used a different dealership, sales service comes across very good however the after service is atrocious. My advice if you really want a BMW find another dealer.

On the 25/7/2019 I purchased a new Seat WII from Thomson and Potter Skoda Perth. The car had been moved from Specialist Car Seat to Thomson and Potter Skoda to be sold.
When I picked up the car the salesman informed me there was only one ignition key but assured me the key would come from Dundee in a couple of days.
After 2 months I am still trying to obtain the key. The salesman assures me the problem lies in Dundee. I feel I have been more than patient and am asking for your help in solving this matter.

I have had nothing but problems with the after service with Aberdeen, I have had my car in for minor services on 2 occasions and both times received my car back damaged, they make you feel like a criminal when you bring this to the attention of the service manager who should not be dealing with the public as his aggressive attitude towards me was embarrassing and this was in-front of other customers he does calm down when you point out this to him but not really my place to do so, they then start avoiding your calls and I have found it useful to contact chris.clark at the front of dealership email address as this seams to get a response so may be handy for anyone going forward, I really wanted the BMW but must admit I will forgo the car in the future as would never go back to this dealership in a million years.

Receive a price for a nearly new Range Rover from the Perth dealership and wanted to test drive on Saturday morning, phoned 3 times on Friday afternoon to arrange to speak to someone in sales as we would have to travel from Aberdeen. Was told by reception that someone would call back on Monday !!! Lost sale I think.
If you think I am going to chase you yet again by [email protected] com. Think again. Why don’t you contact the customer on the phone number left with your receptionist.

Bought a car from John Clark Motorchoice in Aberdeen. Numerous issues throughout the entire buying process from the car price jumping up £2000 from when I was sent a video of the car to the day I signed the agreement! I was told the original price in the personal video was a mistake. This should have put me off. Made a complaint about this and the sales manager called me basically questioning my series of events, he was rude and in the end eventually apologised and said they will give me a full tank of fuel, not surprised I didn’t get that when I picked the car up! Traded my old car in and had the finance cleared on it(well it should have been cleared) only to have the finance company of my original car tell me that no payment has ever been made to clear the finance and that I am legally responsible for the vehicle and any future payments. I’ve brought this to the attention of John Clark and I’ve been punted from one person to the next with no one willing to take responsibility for this and give me answers! I expected John Clark to be so professional and looked forward to getting my car from a respected dealership but it’s been a disaster from start to finish! Pressured into taking an extended warranty although I have had no documents to prove that I have this extended warranty, pressured into taking the gap insurance, again no documents for contact numbers etc if anything happens to the vehicle. Avoid!!

I feel compelled to write a review about my experience when my wife and I visited the John Clark, Skoda dealership in Dundee on Sunday 18th August 2019.
My wife and I both own Soda Citigo’s having bought them new in 2013 and 2016 respectively. My wife was interested in changing her car and chose to visit the John Clark, Skoda dealership in Dundee to get a trade in price for her car against a blue metallic 95ps Colour Edition Skoda Fabia.
When we went into the dealership there were two salesmen already dealing with customers and three other Skoda male employees who I assumed were salesmen and one female who appeared to be a receptionist. While waiting the female member of staff asked us if she could help and we said that we were looking to get a trade in against a new Skoda. She then had a salesman / member of staff come over to us and he asked us some initial basic questions to establish what we were looking for, we then spent the next “hour” with him sitting in the adjacent SEAT showroom answering all his questions (several times). After one hour we were so completely frustrated that we decided to just leave the showroom as it appeared to us that, there was no one in the dealership who could or would provide us with an actual quote for a new car.
The salesman / employee as we were leaving the showroom did say that he would email us a quote for a new car and despite having all of our contact details, we have still not received an email from him, although this didn’t surprise us.
My wife and I have bought a number of new cars over the last 30 years and I can honestly say that, our visit to the John Clark, Skoda dealership in Dundee was by far the most unprofessional, shambolic and stressful experience we have ever encountered when trying to purchase a new car. We came away from the dealership frustrated and seriously stressed.

Took car, XC70, in for a diagnostic at 83k miles after being told by two local garages that a scraping noise was probably the diff or a wheel bearing but that better listening equipment was required for a firm diagnosis. I was told if rear diff/haldex, parts alone could be many £,000s. I was really worried so I took the car to the Dundee Volvo Dealer, John Clark for a proper firm diagnosis. Gave them detailed notes on symptoms too.
They charged me for a diagnosis but appeared only to have done a simple health check ( normally free ). Got email and basic report from them saying they can confirm the noise is coming from front of vehicle and probably front disks which should be changed before further inspections. I didn't take up there offer to change the front brakes as I thought their estimate was ridiculously high.
Couple of weeks later, I got the car properly diagnosed elsewhere - (small transmission co. in Peterhead). Turns out it was the rear differential bearings and the engineer said it was very obviously the rear diff. I got a courtesy car for 3 days and the rear diff taken out and rebuilt for less than what John Clark wanted for changing the front disks and pads!. Car now running smooth and quiet once again. Annoyed that John Clark got the diagnosis so far out for a paid "diagnosis" which turned out to have been a simple visual health check, which is normally free. Didn't even get the right end of the car. And I went to the trouble of doing two 100ml round trips to drop off and collect the car too. Have written to them several times to complain about this and got zero response. Won't use again. I don't like writing a negative review but I have let several weeks go by now and got no response or apology. I was minded to give a 3 star review but can only give 1 star after being ignored. Very disappointed .
On a positive note, they cleaned the car and left a complimentary bottle of water and polo mints. However, I would have preferred a dirty car without polo mints but a correct diagnosis.
Also wrote to Volvo UK to complain about the dealers lack of response and to express concerns that the diff pinion bearing had failed so early despite FVSH but one. Also two wheel bearings at 75k.
Been driving 40 years. Never had any car with diff or bearing fail so early. Last ever Volvo for me.

Very disappointed with John Clark service.
I put my car in for a service and when I checked in I advised that the car dip bear wasn’t working. I left the car for 3 hours and got a call to say it was ready.
I left garage and notice both my service light was still on along with the dipped beam warning light.
I called to complain and they asked me to come in the next day again wasting more of my time to be told no one had looked at it and that it would need to be booked in again for a diagnostic test before they have do anything.
Very unorganised and unhelpful.

The worst service I have ever received.
Charge you for unneeded repairs.
Returned my car to me twice not fixed as said. Placed my family at risk as a result
No apologies - refunds or responsibility taken.
Caused worse stress of my life over period of 3 weeks.
And management do not respond to complaints.
Child car seat was broken and no response to complaint regarding this either.

Where do I start? Beginning with my annual service last July, all seemed well with the Dundee branch. However when I thought about selling my Q5 I discovered my service book had not been stamped. After several emails and no response I decided to face them in person even though it is a 50 mile round trip. I also had a problem with my air con so booked the car in later that week. As I would’ve been stranded without a car my husband followed me up to give me a lift home, while I was booking my car in he was approached by a member of the sales team who knocked on his window and asked what did he think he was doing parking in an Audi car park. He tried to explain he was waiting for me dropping my Q5 off but was told it was still an Audi only car park! Picked car up after they had discovered more faults with my car resulting in a £1400 bill. I drove my car for 30 miles when I discovered my undertray had not been screwed back on and had detached itself causing a lot of damage. I phoned the manager Ian Storer to tell him I wasn’t happy and he passed me on to Nikki Swankie to deal with it. My car was picked up and the undertray promptly replaced. My car was dropped back to me late on a Friday night with no mention of compensation for fuel used. Saturday morning I went to go out in my car when I noticed my bumper had been scraped whilst in Audi’s care. I emailed my dissatisfaction to which I had a reply from the after sales manager Bill Brown asking if he could come out and view the damage, I replied my husband had t- cutted most of the damage out perhaps a touch up kit might be a gesture to put right the remaining scratches. I also sent pictures of the scrape. 3 days later and no reply!
I would not recommend Dundee Audi to anyone and think the customer service I have received is downright shocking. AVOID

I went to this dealership yesterday and what a breath of fresh air. My car was still under warranty and there were a couple of niggling issues.
I live in Edinburgh but decided to drive up to Perth because of this dealership's reputation. I'd already dealt with the Edinburgh dealership, West end garage, who are truly dreadful. Thomson and Potter Skoda Perth on the other hand are professional and courteous. They took me through the options, including a courtesy car, but the issue was resolved that afternoon, and they returned the car professionally cleaned both inside and outside. They also carried out a health check, and unlike West End garage, they didn't try to sell me spurious and fictional issues with the car. I only wish they would open a branch in Edinburgh.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Endless issues and problems since I bought the car. I have dealt with nearly everyone who works in the branch and no one takes responsibility. I had SEVEN people to deal with when I bought it, that should have been a red flag itself. Please avoid this place!!! You will be sucked in to buying, throw your money away and once something goes wrong no one wants to know. The whole experience has been so stressful and my car is STILL being repaired...

*** Update, the general manager has been in touch and is working to resolve the issues***
Pretty disappointed with Mitch Wilson from Seat Aberdeen.
We bought a used approved Seat Ateca (under a year old) and it broke down on the way home from collection. The car was leaking fluid all over the road and we had to call out the breakdown assistance. Not a great experience when picking up your new car. The offer to drive it back to the closest dealer in its current state was against the handbook instructions and against the advice of the Seat genuine roadside assistance.
We have tried a number of times to contact the dealer via phone and email to simply be ignored. Great customer care. We were forced to take this up with seat direct to get any answers.
It looks like the pre delivery inspection was not carried out as detailed in the used approved guide or none was done at all.
Having worked for VW Group, I know it is not normally the initial issue that leaves the impression with buyers, it is the way it was dealt with and in this case, the dealership chose to simply ignore us and never return communications.
When buying your next car, choose carefully whom you buy it from and perhaps look at another group that is not John Clark Motor Group.

Gareth Toher and his team will ensure your every need is catered for courtiously and professionally displaying a level of service not often found in car dealerships. I should know, I manage a dealership myself.

Went to buy a Seat Ibiza for daughter as they have an 'at cost' event on . They were very secretive about this price and eventually came up with a £600 discount -- 4% . This is not 'at cost ' . Total waste of time . What car target price is £2000 under rrp. I will never buy from John Clark again

John Clark Volvo Edinburgh.
True 5 star service from initial enquiry to collecting our car.
Polite, friendly and professional. A pleasure to do business with.
Fabulous showroom with wonderfully presented new and used cars.
We bought a used Audi and are so pleased with our purchase.
We travelled to Edinburgh from North Yorkshire by train, were picked up at Waverley Station and skilfully driven to the Glasgow Road Volvo Showroom.
The car was better than described and was prepared to the highest standard.
The sales executive we dealt with was Adam Jardine, a well presented young man who knew what he was talking about.
He went the extra mile to meet and then exceed our requirements.
We have nothing but praise for this dealership and its staff.

Take 4 random new VW Amarok V6 pickups supplied by Clark Commercial Dundee, all with milage between 2,000 and 6,000 miles.
Two have had Nox sensor failure, (one has been in twice for same repair), two have had DPF filter issues and one had an O ring failure, blamed on a dirty fuel filter.
Sarah, how will you respond to these issues, please do not blame dirty fuel filter this time, remember the owners and others are watching.
A question this time we might also get an answer for, are these vehicles fit for purpose?
Why are some warranty and some not? (sorry, VW decide this point).
Are these issues evident in your sister dealership, Clark Commercials Aberdeen?
