I received my order and had a problem with one of the items. I called the customer service and was put on hold. I dropped the call after 1hr 30 mins of waiting on hold. I again called back and chose the first option to order instead of customer support. I was again put on hold and after a min, was told that there are 10 customers ahead of me. Its been 30 mins so far, still on hold. Extremely frustrated. Will never buy from them again. I would rather pay little more and buy from $#*! Blick.

I would never order anything from Jerry's again! I placed an order, it arrived and one item was damaged. I wish I would have read the reviews before ordering. Their customer service does not exist; they don't answer the phone, you get put on hold in a black hole!!!!! I can't get through to them to get the item replaced. I've already emailed the picture of the damaged item, but have not heard anything back. Horrible service and yes, it I could give negative stars, I would!

I just had a terrible experience with Jerry's on-line ordering/Chat Customer Service. I had ordered the wrong easel for my daughter as a gift, the box was not even opened and shipped back via UPS Ground which cost me over $120. Prior to shipping the $224.99 dollar Saint Remy Multi-Angle Studio Easel back, I spoke with customer service and was advised that if I provided them with the UPS Tracking number upon return shipment they would credit my account. I notified customer service of the tracking information and requested to exchange for 2 easels and supplies in excess of the $224.99 of which I would gladly pay the difference as the easels are on SUPER SALE. I was advised that they are not willing to either supply the credit until receipt of the returned easel (4/14) nor provide a store credit to be used during the SUPER SALE which ends this evening. SO, I am out my $120+ for shipping in addition to the $224.99 for the original purchase which I can not use toward their sale. Sadly we have three artists in our household and a budget of over $2500 for art supplies and equipment. Sorry Jerry's, you won't be getting any of it this year! Hello, $#*! Blick's???

I ordered a 29 detail paintbrush set for $160 and a few other items. The order came today and I got 1 brush from the entire set. I figured it was a mistake so went online to contact the company. I called the 1800 number and no matter what option I choose, the phone goes silent and I can't get a hold of anyone. I tried the chat option and that doesn't work. I went to go leave a review, and it won't let me. I was finally able to find a way to send them a message through their website, but I do not have high hopes. I will never shop here again. This is beyond sketchy...

I placed an order for 20 11x14 stretched canvases and i used amazon pay to complete my purchase. Well amazon used the wrong address to ship it to me and i tried to call the customer service number on the jerrys artarama website and wound up hanging up after over an hour of waiting on hold. I also sent an email explaining my situation and asking if it was possible to change the shipping address and i never received a response so i will not be using this store in the future. I was on the phone when i sent this email and at this time i was only on hold for about 30 minutes. I waited for over an hour before i hung up. I will never use or recommend Jerrys Artarama to anyone else in my life

Shipping department is a joke. Nothing is wrapped properly to ensure the arrival of products safely, most of the time it is damaged, broken, or completely absent. You mention this trouble directly to them or write a concerning review online stating the issue, it will get deleted if 3 stars or below. I've had bottles of acrylic paint arrive exploded, high end paint brushes broken into pieces, ink bottles shattered and still nothing is being done about it. The cost of the products buying are not cheap, everything is high end and very lack of respect that is given unto those products show a complete lack of respect for the customer and the materials purchased. Go ahead and call customer service and make a claim, good luck and may the Presence of the Almighty be with you. Customer Service is completely asleep at the wheel. You are going to be holding your breathe for an answer, nothing is going to happen. You will get an excuse and zero resolution. Currently, in the middle of waiting for a response on a current issue and a week has gone by with nothing from customer service. Over the years, noticed that everything here is continuing to get worse with zero resolution. Jerry's Does Not Care about Customers or Products being shipped in a safe and effective manner. Once this current issue is finalized, if it ever gets there, it is the last time using this company. I do not have the patience or the confidence to rely on them further for anything, enough has been shown and done over the years which has lead to this decision.

Never again!! My order was damaged, so I sent them an email within 24-48 hours like they requested. It's been a week and still nothing. I've sent them 4 more emails since then, still nothing. I was on the phone on hold for an hour the other day and finally gave up. Then I tried Live Chat and all they said was I would get a response soon. Still nothing. So I tried again today, and they said exactly the same thing over and over again. No personal responses!!!

I have purchased a number of items from Jerry's over several years and always felt like I got a good deal (generally after comparison shopping against other art supply sites) and they shipped quickly and packaged the items properly. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase an item from Jerry's in the future.

My problems: a pencil sharpener that doesn't fit pencils larger than standard and broke after 2 tries with a regular sized pencil. It was made of plastic
Pencil case: advertised as leather, cheap plastic
Pencil: advertised as holding 50+ pencils. You will need to place 2 pencils into the band.
Must send pictures for a refund.
And.....I found the same items cheaper in a local art store and amazon. If you have money to throw in the garbage can, this is the place for you.

I bought the largest pad of heavy duty Yupo paper Jerry's offered, primarily because of the price. I have used the medium duty Yupo multimedia paper previously and liked it. When I opened the packaging, expecting to encounter the purple cover and inside cover sheet, I discovered there were no front cover and no second sheet - no identifying markings - just pages bound to the cardboard backing at the bottom of the pad. I didn't count to see if there were 10 pages.
I called Jerry's and was told the paper was genuine. They apologized and said that the merchandise was incomplete. They offered to email me the front cover art with the product info. I told them I had scrolled over the picture at the Yupo site already and knew what to expect. They refused to make any amends for the error. So I'm out the $50. I will cross my fingers and hope my project works out and will never deal with Jerry's Artarama again.
PS Should have guessed by the name.

Don't order from Jerry's Artarama. My brush has wires that are popping out which continue to pop out even with using pliers. I have not duct-taped it. What a shame for such an expensive brush! The customer service wouldn't refund or offer any kind of compensation - just told me to "order another one". Why would I do that? I've decided not to shop with them anymore.

So I am a professional artist. Was shopping for watercolor paper and saw a good price at Jerry's. Placed the order for 5 sheets Arches 300lb rough. Got the confirmation email followed by a notice that my order was cancelled. I called them and the bored CS rep said my order was flagged by their fraud department.
Now, my billing address is the same as the delivery address. The name on my credit card is the same as my email and website. I used to be a fraud investigator and I know the red flags. But no. No paper for you!
I sent them a follow up email and even a link to my watercolor artist's web page. No response.
Really, why would anyone do business with a company like this?

I ordered the wrong paint brush size, and realized my mistake withing 10 minutes. On paypal there was no option to cancel the order. It was Sunday evening, and live chat was closed. The website showed an email addy to use. The paypal order remained unprocessed for several hours. This morning I called Jerrys and they said whoops too late. They claim the order was processed at 5 am, before the email division was open. Live chat could only parrot Jerrys policy. They should be upfront and say there is no cancellation allowed.

I ordered frames from Jerry's at what I thought was a decent price for what I was getting. They were marked 40% off for a sale so I grabbed five larger sized frames for a project I was working on for a client. When I received the frames one was broken and it was instantly clear why it broke. It was junk. The frames were made of a cheap foam material. Paying nearly $50 a frame at even the sales price was absurd considering the quality of these literal garbage frames. I contacted Jerry's about returning them for a full refund and finally after days of back and forth conversations trying to get them to understand I wanted a refund on ALL of the frames not just the broken one, I was told I had to pay the shipping fee to return them. The shipping fee was nearly half the price of the entire order. Complete insanity when Jerry's boasts 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed or your MONEY BACK. I shopped with Jerry's for years and never had a problem like this, all good things must come to an end I suppose.

I recently ordered a T-square, watercolor samples, color wheel and sketchbook from Jerry's.
These items, minus the color wheel (which I did not receive}, were shipped in the same large box with plenty of room for items to slide around and bang into each other. The sketchbook was damaged.
When I called customer service I was told to take a photo of the sketchbook and send it to them. When I said I wasn't able to do that, could they send me a UPS label and I'd send it back, of course the answer was no. I have to pay for the shipment.
So, I have to pay for damaged items to be returned.
They don't believe that it's damaged? Am I a telling a fib? Did they even look to see that I never made any complaints about any other order? I don't think so!
Customer service is a "policy only based" department.
The human equation is not involved.
Did not care at all that I told them that I would not be ordering from them anytime soon.

I called about my missing item from my order during their business hours on Saturday and reached a recording to leave a voice mail and they would call me back within 24 to 48 hours? They have gone downhill. I do not think I will order from them again. This is not the 1st time they missed something from my order, but before you could reach a live customer service person. Not any more!

Got total runaround from two CS reps after THEY failed to ship an item. Have no confidence it will be replaced. Contacting my MC to file a complaint until they do resolve this to my satisfaction.

I bought an "Easy View floor lamp 18W" and first problem is I paid $99.84 (list 119.99) and the item had a price tag on it that read "List $119.99 (sale price) $76.84" and the company refused to refund the balance at first and then offered a $10 E-gift card that I never received. A week later I gave the lamp as a gift, as intended, only to open it to find that it had been previously opened and obviously assembled as the pole had a small scratch and the base was scuffed. I wrote the company and sent the photos and asked that they refund at least 1/2 of what I paid as I had essentially bought a "used floor model" as new. They refused. I will never buy anything from them again. Most dissatisfying interaction.

Please, fellow creatives...stay the hell away from this business. As a senior who has been painting her entire life (and shopping), I have NEVER had this bad of an experience with customer service in MY LIFE! The product design is defective (canvas pliers), c an't be used...I'm out the price, the shipping, and after jumping through hoops, taking pictures, sending it all for documentation---"they" don't see the problem, case closed. So I'm also out the time and complete insane aggravation over a simple and obvious issue. NEVER have I been treated so poorly...what a waste of time, and they will never see another order from me or anyone I know.

The oversell their stock... and I bought a three for one and only got one.... because they ran out. THEN I had to contact them and they returned it.
I NEEDED the canvases for something that week. DO not buy from them expecting them to fill the order because this is standard practice for them

Saw them online and I ordered the SantiFe 2.. It looked really nice!!! Didn't realize the price was completely ridiculous..
I was driving down the road on my bus route and I saw eisals in the window of a art supply shop.. I went back later after my work day.. I priced them.. I felt my heart sink!!! The price of eisals were a fraction of what Jerry's Art whatever was charging..
I'm furious!!! More with myself than anything. But they are definitely taking advantage of people!! $#*! them!!! I will $#*!ing find them!!!!

I don't know how a business can conduct themselves in such a condescending manner. After my personal experience, I've shared with many how awful it is they ship used items with missing parts and then treat the customer like an idiot.
I deeply encourage everyone to shop elsewhere. Don't waste your money (you'll just receive defective products with an attitude when you report the defect and/or the return of a product).
Overall, my experience is well on its way to a fraudulent experience.

I purchased 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 brown frame. The silver and gold have markings and lines, where supposedly the gold or silver leaf is attached. It looks so tacky and cheap. When I tried to return, they said that is the way they are made.
I would be embarrassed to put one of my paintings in these frames and try to sell them!
I would expect that if a customer considers something to look as if it is poor quality, they would do a return without a cost to customer.
