I love Jacquie's cards. The artwork is beautiful and the cards are too. Some are even funny. I send them a lot.

Jacquielawson.com cards bring many 😀. It is more than worth $15 per year. I often send Gift subscriptions to my birthday recipients. Highly recommended. And , polite, old fashioned customer care.

Having used the site happily for a number of years all of a sudden I could no longer log in. i contacted their helpline and did all they suggested. Still no joy. I changed my password and had confirmation it had gone through - no joy. I changed my email address, and had to pay again to start a new account, and, subsequently, my password once more. No joy. i have received on my laptop from Jacquie Lawson thank yous for the cards i have sent on my phone. Each time any change is acknowledged. I am now in the position of being able to sign in and access and send cards on my phone but my laptop still refuses to let me in. My list of birthdays and my history of cards sent are on the laptop but not on my phone so I am far from pleased.

Dear Website Managers,
I have had this website for some years now and in recent times
I have had nothing but problems - with requests to change either my Password or my email address. I will NOT CHANGE my e-mail
address. I have changed Passwords repeatedly, even using what
you have SUGGESTED - but still I cannot get thing to WORK!!!
Very frustrating, so I will have to leave this site. I like your
cards, but I am unable to use them currently.. Mari Musante

Been a member for a few years, but now disappointed to look for and not find a St David's day card.
Also quite 'interested' to see nearly every 'one star' review on here is nearly always followed by a 'five' star one - suspicious or what?

I receive Jacque Lawson cards from my mother on occasion and they are so incredibly cute. I am very surprised by all the negative reviews, but then again, I don’t actually subscribe to the site/service.
With a hectic and often stressful schedule, it’s nice to receive something like this. I look forward to receiving these cards because they are a little bit of heaven. For some reason they are nostalgic for me.
Thank you and keep up the good work!

I've had Jacquie Lawson cards for years and am very happy with their service.Don't know what all of these horrible reviews are all about but nothing that they speak about has ever happened to me. Thanks Jacquie and team for these beautiful cards, keep up the great work.

When I pay for something I expect to get it. Today as well as the last time I wanted to send a birthday card I go through the trouble of creating a greeting then when I click on open address book the screen goes dark and doesn't allow the address to be used. To make matters worse I have to create another greeting. The last time this happened I persisted and got through on the fourth try. This time I'm not putting myself through that and will no longer support this website after being a customer for five years

I have enjoyed sending and receiving these cards for years. I have never experienced the problems others (real or bots?) Complain about. The system has worked well and the cards are first rate quality, kind and whimsical. I particularly enjoy the ones with historical backgrounds, puzzles, etc. My recipients frequently send thank you responses. Good work!

I have been a Jacquie Lawson member since 2000 and I have never had one issue whether I use it on my mobile or desktop devices. The people who are having issues and gave low ratings must have security issues in other countries, something going on with cache or cookies or their computer could be outdated, softwares not updated or a technical issue with some settings. But I can assure you there is nothing wrong with the functioning of the website. These are beautiful cards and I hope they are here forever.

This has to be one of the very worst websites. Considering the investment made into the development of their cards you would think the website would be excellent. They should check out Moonpigs’. You cannot review your card before sending! As for easily locating my card history - can’t. Immensely disappointed. Won’t renew.

Have been with them for years and all was good. Sent a Christmas Card to my 80 year old cousin in London, before she views it wants her to subscribe and the site keep emailing her constantly. She is getting stressed out. I have contacted the site but no reply, for this reason I am going to cancel my subscription.
Contact people if they complain, it's polite. No contact is just rude.

After I completed the Advent Calendar last year I said I would give the Jacquie Lawson company one last chance to improve it. We are only nine days into December and I can already say with complete certainty I will never do this again.
I was a Jacquie Lawson member for many years and always purchased multiple calendars for my family and friends. This year none of them wanted a calendar.
There use to be fun activities, games and puzzles spread throughout the month so you always had something to look forward to. Now, all those things are available in a main room before the season even begins and there are nothing but boring videos in the daily events. Boring, boring videos. There are far more clever videos on the Internet every day, so why would I want to pay someone to create boring ones?
The second thing – and this one is really bad – is that you can no longer download the calendar. It is browser based, which means every time you delete your cookies you lose all the things you created, like your Christmas tree, snowflakes, family crest, etc. I delete my cookies constantly because I don't like to be tracked by websites.
Sure, you can delete your other cookies and keep the Jacquie Lawson ones, but I don't like having to open my history and search for the Jacquie Lawson cookies. It's just far more trouble than it's worth.
I dropped my membership last year and this is the last year I will every purchase a calendar – or anything else from Jacquie Lawson, for that matter. I'm done.

Have been increasingly disappointed with the Advent Calendar. I have usually bought a bundle of these but the people I send them to have been having such difficulty in using them that most don't bother to register any more. Reduced my order by half this year and that is probably too many. Although I ran it this year I found that I had to reduce my computer security and the security to too many parts of my browser to allow it to run so I have given up on it. The novelty of the calendar and on line cards is in any case wearing thin. Will need up up the game a lot to keep a customer base.

I have just joined..Card looks delightful but when I tried to preview it after waiting nearly 10 minutes to see it, I gave up and sent it on trust.
I will wait to see what arrives in 2 days before further comments!

I am enjoying the cards and the garden app is fun, while thinking about spring planting. The animation is slow, I use it like a meditation

I've been buying the Advent Calendars since 2013 (which was the best of the lot in my opinion). I have enjoyed them all up until last year's Alpine village. That is when my discontent began to stir. It was not in Flash player and using it, accessing the scenes, moving from one to another, was cumbersome as the pages went back to the beginning and had to reload. A bit of research and I found that JL was doing away with Flash and moving to HTML format.
Anyway to this year's card. Edinburgh. When contemplating this year's card I had some questions about downloading. In response I received this:
The Advent Calendars will continue to work after 25 December, and you may open the calendar and play the games, view the stories, and so on, until November 2019 or thereabouts.
This is because each Advent Calendar is available for two years. This year (2018), we have the new Edinburgh Advent Calendar and last year's Alpine Advent Calendar. In November 2019, the Alpine Advent Calendar will be withdrawn, and the Edinburgh Advent
Calendar will be updated to work for December 2019, along with a brand new Advent Calendar whose theme is yet to be announced".
It came as a freebie with my subscription renewal and it will probably be the last one. Some of my disappointments: It is one static scene this year unlike the others where you could scroll left and right. The music in the basic scene sounds unchanged and this is not a plus. It is painful to listen to the shrill high pitched voices singing...something. Things look diminished, ie., the figures moving about are truly small and lack detail. Is that a woman walking with a child? Children walking in the upper street or ants? On the plus side, the Edinburgh house where you can 'go' to take a break is enjoyable as usual.
The biggest disappointment is the fact that it IS NOT DOWNLOADABLE and you must be connected to the internet. This is a royal pain in the ... Heaven help you if you have bad weather and lose power or telephone service. Not everyone lives in a metropolis
The fact that after 2 years your 'purchase' is poof! gone means I suppose one is actually leasing the card. I mean, if one buys it it should be yours to keep and not have it disappear in a year or so. I still have calendars from previous years before this 'improvement' happened and still enjoy them. And if JL asks if I want an update I always click No.
Thus, overall, I will have to think long and hard before I buy another year's version.

I have tried to cancel my subscription, and was unable to do so. There is no way to do it on their website. When I was directed to another one, it said something like...offline, or under construction..or some such nonsense. It happened over and over. This is a scam, and a way to extract auto payments year after year. Be forewarned.

I am saddened to see the scathing comments from consumers who are unhappy with Jacquie Lawson Cards. I can say that I am a relative "newbie" and have only had a membership for a year so I have not had to deal with customer service or seen years of Advent Calendars. I did not have any trouble downloading or accessing the widget but my mother did. Perhaps it is a problem with older computers?
The main thing I wanted to say is the following: In a time when more energy is focused on what is wrong with society rather than what is right, I would like to acknowledge how the simple sweetness of Jacquie's cards and the calendar remind me that the things that are most important are home, hearth, family, friends (human and furry) and nature. We are so bombarded with complex technology that some might expect that an artist whose desire it is to bring beauty to each of us, should be able to produce a technologically advanced scene and complex games. I guess I didn't go into this membership with that expectation.
I am BLOWN AWAY by the beauty and evident abundance of time it takes to create something so beautiful. So, to have to wait a mere 15-20 seconds for a card to load, only adds to the excited anticipation of experiencing a moment of lovely peace and joy in an already far too-fast paced world.
So, Jacquie and crew, I appreciate what you do. I appreciate how hard you work. I appreciate how many more things go into operating a business than just being the artist you once were and how challenging those things are to manage. I will be patient with the kinks and continue to enjoy and send the beautiful cards as long as you produce them. Thank you for creating light in a sometimes dark world.

I opened the last bauble of the advent calendar, expecting... nothing really. The scene stood there as from the first day, static, boring and depressing and nothing changed at the end. The calendar has been getting worse year by year, this latest one was pathetic. I was embarrassed to have sent it to some friends and family. Yes, you could decorate cookies and the Christmas tree, but nothing translated to the scene. You do not need to purchase this calendar to have access to games and puzzles if you are that way inclined. The advent calendar is bought to add some cheer to the season, not to score points. I have contacted the company, and I got a convoluted email that did not answer any of my queries nor did it address my complaint. Some of their cards are very nice, but most of them are boring and repetitive. Shame because they could provide an almost unique service.

I am a new member and am having a problem, when I fill in one name to send a card the other 5 boxes fill in the same name automatically, then the person I am sending the card to gets 5 or 6 cards. When I try to delete the other 5 names it automatically deletes all of the names. What am I doing wrong? My family does not want to receive 5 or 6 of the same card on the same date?
