Received recent catalogue of J. Jill. Beautiful and unique clothing. This is the J. Jill I remember. Excited to wear my new items!

I have shopped many times at Dana park, Mesa az j Jill. I have never once had an employee ever even say hi or offer to help me. Today I waited in line to pay and there was only one customer ahead of me but the employee took forever talking to the customer. I almost put the item down and left. There was another employee there but she was more interested in straightening the racks. This is the normal way I am treated every time. I like there clothes so I keep torturing myself by going back. It would be nice if they even said thank you. It is always the same attitude in there store. Do you realize the customers pay your bills!

For 30 years I made jjill purchases and was my go to place for clothing. Then they changed the wearer fabric. Then the styling took a train to Kansas. But their prices remain really high. Sad that their line is so terribly diminished. Hate that that they are no longer a place I can depend on for clothing.

Loved this clothing line when first introduced but I have found that the quality of the clothing has really decreased while the price is still the same. If if they lowered the price I would not buy them. The styles are great but I don't want tops that get holes in them in the front at about the waist line after wearing a few times. When I compliained about this I was rudely told that I have moths. I replied and those moth must really be smart as they only eat holes in my Jill clothes and all in the same spot in the front about waist line. I am not fat either where my top could be rubbing against the countertop and causing this either. So I stopped purchasing their clothing. Period!

There's rarely anything I look good in. The store used to have beautiful things but no longer. Returns aren't free and the place didn't open until 12(!) today, a Tuesday, and if you are doing a return, they don't credit you at the price you paid for it, like Nordstrom does. I won't be back.

I ordered a down coat. The coat was huge in size an inferior quality.
I returned using the pre printed return label.
They sent me a refund minus $15.00. They said I was charged for the original shipping and for the return shipping.
This is unheard of. Buyer beware! I will never ever shop there again and plan to tell this story on line any and everywhere I can. It feels like they stole $15.00 from me.

I have just placed an order for several pairs of jeans. According to the online details if the order was more than $125.00 no shipping charges would be applied. However after applying my JJILL credit card discount, it put my total just under $125.00 but with taxes added I was over the needed amount. I was charged shipping because after speaking with customer service (joke) told me taxes could not be included in the total, and I either had to cancel the order, buy more, pay shipping, or not use my JJILL card. As delivery to the store was not an option or purchasing them at a store (online only), I had to choose whether to place or cancel the order. JJILL has lost my loyalty as I feel the process was deliberately ambiguous.

I am thoughly discussed with Jjills customer service. The Rep Lisa was horrible and uncaring and her Supervisor Amy was condescending and equally umconcerned. Just be prepared that you will be left on your own here so don't look, for quality service or assistance once you make a purchase. I just hope that these two don't represent JJill's overall policy or standards for customer service.

Susan Pulchalski claimed manager of Dana Park Mesa AZ, J Jill Store would not allow me to shop and refused to ring up my items, she was threatening me regarding calling the police, when I was trying to educate her about the medical condition exception for mask wearing.
I can not wear a mask and have a medical exception (through Maricopa County mandate) due to being a severe asthmatic. Meaning I can't breathe in my own CO2 or I can literally die.
I was the only person in the store other than Susan and one other employee, both who were standing behind glass and more than 6 feet away from me. I was there for a good 15 minutes shopping before she even noticed I wasn't wearing a mask.
I offered to show my medical information and doctors notice, she refused to read it and said it was company policy not to allow people who do not wear masks to shop in the store no matter what the circumstances.
I was discriminated against for having a medical condition and refused service.
I was astonished!
I have been a J Jill customer since they started. Not anymore!
I will definitely be contacting an attorney regarding this discrimination.
So sad.

I have spent a small fortune @ J. Jill. I alway pay my bill on time and in full. I received an email from J. Jill’s bank informing me if I didn’t purchase something by October they were cancelling my card. I was very shocked at their bullying tactics. I have an 800+ credit score and I assume this will drop for their cancelling my card.
I’ve never received such bad business marketing and or threats that I had better buy something.
I shall be taking this matter further. You’ve also lost me as a customer. Too bad, as I spent a lot of money in your stores and online orders. But I’ll not be threatened and or bullied to purchase something to keep my account open.

I have shopped JJill since before they had brick and mortar stores. Back in the 90's and early 2000's I would be so excited for each new season of clothing, looking forward to rich colors and interesting prints and garments that fit my not-exactly-slim shape in a flattering way. I've stuck by JJill despite the fact that both quality and aesthetics have gone down but prices have stayed the same or increased. The colors for the last few seasons have been muddy and the garments seem shapeless and unflattering. I read the other reviews and agree - I have a number of garments that i still wear from the old days - a beautiful teal silk blouse, a deep fig corduroy button-up tunic, and several beautiful, lightweight pure merino wool sweaters. I bought two colors of the same sweater last winter that fit well, but after they were washed (according to label directions) they shrunk just enough - in the bust area only - to make them unwearable. I didn't try to return them. There is rayon in most of the sweaters now and it shrinks when washed. I'm afraid to buy a JJill sweater these days. I was looking forward to the September collection but after paging through the catalog that arrived today, I didn't find a single thing I wanted to buy, so I went online to see if there were other offerings that would appeal. Normally I find at least one or two, but NOTHING. Not a single thing. Just because we're mature doesn't mean we want shapeless, bland clothing! How about some tailoring? Please JJill? Get your mojo back before it's too late!

I love J. Jill clothes, I have had a very good experience shopping in their brick & mortar shops, but returning purchases online is ridiculous! They wait at least 3 weeks to get and apply your return, then you have to wait until the next billing cycle to get the return. If you don't want a credit, which I don't, I want my money returned, then you're waiting probably upwards of 7 weeks. I won't be ordering online from them any more. (And by the way, I found "Carolyn" the service rep to be condescending.)

I have been shopping at J Jill for decades... casual styles that can be dressed up or down and a bohemian look in some of their tops.
Then they got a new designer and I can't find anything good to say about their clothes. He makes the most unflattering clothes from tops to dresses to pants. The colors are too vibrant, the dresses look like sacks. I have essentially stopped shopping there and hope they get a better designer before his contract runs out. From the looks at others' reviews, this store is going to close soon! I am so disappointed with what JJill Has done to their unique style of clothes

I have shopped at JJill for over 30 years, primarily through catalog. I was excited to see a store open in our community.
The women that work here are horrible.
For example, I walked in today and was "greeted" with "do you want something?"
Nothing else said, no one else in store... understand why?!?!

The quality of J. Jill merchandise is not what you'd call exceptional, and as noted by others the shipping is very slow compared to other sites/stores.
The bigger problem is that when you return an item they are now saying 3 to 4 four weeks to process the return. A Comenity Bank representative will tell you to call J. Jill customer service where you basically get nowhere. Other credit card companies will allow the customer to open an inquiry, will contact the merchant, and will credit your account. It should not take four weeks to process a return, and in the meanwhile you have a credit card balance that you are obliged to pay even though you don't owe them anything. I am cancelling my account, and using one of my other credit card if I ever buy something from J. Jill again.

I ordered a dress online for my niece's wedding. I am normally a large. I ordered a medium because I went by their sizing guide. I just got the dress. It's way too big. Even when I tie the belt tighter, there is all this extra material at the waist. And speaking of the material, it's cheap. It feels like a t-shirt which doesn't match the style of the dress. Hopefully, the other dress I ordered from a different store will work.

I have shopped at JJill for years and always loved their clothers. They were always high quality. In the last year or more that quality has slowly gone downhill. My last order had a linen tunic - but only the front was linen. The back and sleeves were some thin material. Although I love the styles I am afraid that JJill will not be my go to any longer for clothing.

Quick to take your money slow on returning your money. I had to return an outfit that I purchased for a wedding that was cancelled due to Covid, I understand that everyone is stressed out but come on this situation has been going on for quite some time and they should have their act together by now. J Jill is not a small business. Will be a long time before I think about purchasing from J JIll

Obscenely overpriced clothing, CRAZY shipping costs, and the worst return policy ever. I've shopped at J.Jill (catalog only--no plus or tall sizes in their stores--they can't risk fat women being seen there!!!) since the 1990s. Quality is now unacceptable, especially for what they charge. You can't return anything that has been worn, washed, or has had the tags removed, because that's how you find out whether you like something, right? You never wear it, never wash it, and leave the tags on forever. Even if items fall apart, they will not take them back. For some reason I've been putting up with their hateful policies for years, but an email I received a few days ago was the last straw. It stated that "everything is 50% off--IN STORES ONLY." Like I mentioned, there are no plus or tall sizes in stores, so this offer is incredibly discriminatory as it is for straight sizes only. They've always clearly hated larger women, and seemed to make larger sizes as an afterthought, but this is really bad! I sent a message to them stating as much. I still haven't gotten a reply, and I'm sure I never will. I have (finally!) decided that after spending tens of thousands of dollars there, it's over. No more overpriced, low-quality J.Jill clothing that takes an eternity to arrive for this customer. Good luck to you in this tanking economy, where women will make much more careful choices.

SHIPPING issues!!
I understand there is a pandemic going on. However, I ordered under my shoprunner account. First, it took 1 week from ordering to FedEx receipt. A few extra days I can understand, but a full week is RIDICULOUS!! On top of that, JJill shipped it standard shipping which is FedEx smartpost!! Shoprunner is supposed to be 2 day shipping. My order was placed May 26. It is now June 13 and I still don't have my order. 17 days! My cc payment is due on the 17th for items I haven't seen. I'm a plus size, so I couldn't shop in my store even if I wanted to. Other retailers are still honoring Shoprunner terms, why can't JJill? I should have had thi order by June 3rd at the absolute latest.

Purchased a pair of $75 sneakers from J Jill. Nine weeks later, the sole started to separate from the canvas. Since I had only worn them about 10 times and mostly indoors, I decided to return them. I was shocked when they said they would not take them back because they had been worn. I explained that $75 shoes that came apart after 10 wearings were obviously defective and their return policy is 90 days for defective merchandise. The manager examined the bottom of the shoes so thoroughly that it became uncomfortable, then said it was up to her discretion on whether they could be returned. Since she could not resell them, her answer was no. After a very heated discussion she refused to give me a credit on my J Jill card, but agreed to give me a gift card, I walked out of the store with my gift card and my business. I prefer to shop at stores that stand behind the quality of their products.

This review if for shipping.
I ordered a few items online in May as the local store was closed due to the pandemic. It took about two weeks for delivery - longer than usual but there is a pandemic. Some of the items did not fit (sizing is often a hit-or-miss with j.jill) so when the store opened at the start of June I went in to exchange for a different size. The store did not have the items, so the sales associate processed my returns and placed an order for me to have the proper sizes delivered to my home. That was June 1st. On June 2nd I received an email from j.jill that my order had shipped with an expected delivery of June 8th.
After the 8th came and went I checked on the tracking link and the delivery date still said the 8th and the FedEx site said it was still awaiting the package from j.jill. I then went online to j.jill and started a chat session to ask if there was a way to track the package as I was concerned it was lost. The CS rep asked me to wait while she checked but she returned and just stated that it takes up to two weeks for delivery. Nothing else about my specific order. She offered to count the days out for me to know how long 14 days might be. I couldn't tell if she was being condescending or if she was being earnest.
Finally, the tracking changed to reflect FedEx had the package with a delivery of the 12th expected. Then it changed to the 13th. Now it says the 17th.
Pandemic or not, this is RIDICULOUS! J.jill has never been exactly speedy with shipments, but this is the last straw. After being a customer for years and years this may be the last time I shop there. The local store does not carry many of the petite sizes I need so I rely on shipping about half the time so if j.jill cannot or will not improve the shipping method (my guess is that FedEx Smartpost is the culprit) I will be forced to stop buying from them because of a lack of confidence. I will miss the linen items because I live in Florida, but I'll find another source for my needs.

This is a review of one item among many purchased over years, a linen shirt with pretty print. I've bought and liked Jjill clothing for years, for fit, comfort, durability and quality. It is 5 star for those things.
The linen shirt, though it fits well and is pretty, is rough feeling, unlike pima cotton, and requires special care that my helpful husband doesn't always follow: hand wash, lay flat to dry. Be aware. Pretty, but...

Having been a customer for over 15 years, I have seen a drastic decline in quality of the merchandise. J.jill had been my go to for years. My latest purchase arrived 10 days after order. My J.Jill card was charged immediately. The shirt I ordered was absolutely not as described so I used the return label provided. I returned it on March 26th. I continue to check on the credit to my J.JIll account. The blanket emails state that returns take 20-28 days which is ridiculous. My issue is my J.Jill card must be paid prior to that time. I do not want to pay the amount of the return as I no longer have confidence in J.Jill and will probably not order anymore so having a credit sit on my account is a waste of money. I was told today by a " customer service" agent that I had to pay it or get a late fee. I guess that's why there are reports of trouble with J.Jill.
