No live support
Product is okay.
The support is horrible; no phone and no live support. This results in an entire day thrown away, waiting for the support(chat) of intercom to respond. The responds time (to any line) way to long.

Intercom is at its heart a customer service company with the worst customer service. It takes so long to hear back from anyone on their team and in most cases the reps are ignorant of their own product providing meaningless answers. They also refuse to hop on a call or have a live chat even with high value customers so you're forced to wait hours/days for something that should take minutes. I use their product weekly and always have trouble with the cumbersome and glitchy UX and features. I find myself frequently running into issues with their product but just giving up because I know it will be just waste of time to ask for assistance.

We have two issues with intercom:
1) When we set campaigns to stop at a certain date, they do not - with test accounts they continue to display untel we delete them.This makes it hard to track past campaigns.
2) We cannot capture much user data from our platform because Intercom will not sign our Supplier Data Protection Agreement form.This makes segmentation extremely cumbersome and hard to perform.

Great Platform, lots of very useful and easy to use features.
Only down point is pricing for small companies, it is quiet hard to use full platform if you have a small team and not many requests, it is hard to justify budget.

Your Articles system could be be better. It doesn't have all the capabilities we need - We have two types of customers so being able to separate FAQ's into two main groups would be really beneficial

- Picking up jobs
Then we could have our articles separated for the relevant groups without it being confusing. The Help Centre does not currently do this.

Overall, Intercom is good and we managed to work with it easily. There are still some core features missing in the UI and API, but we hope the Intercom devs implement them soon :)

Intercom is reliable and fast. The customer service is great. I am giving 5 stars, but as improvement point, I found the interface a little awkward at first. Toggling between messages and people did not make sense to me. I also find the idea of leads versus users to be a little lacking since some users are still free users and thus also leads. I'd love to see some improvements there. Still highly recommend.
