THEY ARE A SCAM..Placed an order with Instacart for Shaws Supermarket. I went to their website, selected my groceries, placed them in the Cart and checked out using my Debit Card. The Shopper gets to the checkout and says that my card was Declined. EXCUSE ME???? I have $7,000 in my checking account so that is NOT POSSIBLE. Besides the fact that you are charged online when you check out so there should be no issue with the card at the register because I HAVE ALREADY PAID!!!!! They also place a hold on my Debit Card for $300 and tell me to cancel my order online but I am unable to because their website SUCKS! The Shopper tells me she can pay for my order and then I can pay her back! WTF??? I told her to cancel the order by refunding me for all of the items that she had found per my list. I am then charged $15 cancellation Fee. I am told that there was an "Internal Problem" YES YOU DO THE SHOPPER WHO WORKS FOR INSTACART IS A SCAMMER!

I signed up to be a shopper for instacart. They did a background check which they sent to me. I passed & was approved to shop. They sent me shopping batches to chose from & thus far, I have completed 5 batches. They are not paying me & via chat, I'm told they don't have records of some completed batches. They asked me to prove that I completed the shopping but I use their credit card? One batch was an online pay which they tell me they can't locate. They tell me their phone number is not working & they have no shopper support.

This service is a rip off. I paid my initial $9,99 monthly charge for free delivery. 9 days went by with no order delivered. It takes days to get a delivery window then nobody shows up. Then you get another promise for delivery with the same result, no show. Plus they put a $340 hold on my account to cover my order. This hold has not been lifted even after I cancelled the service. Good like trying to get customer support. It's non-existent. STAY AWAY!

The Instacart shoppers at the Schnucks grocery store in St. Louis, MO, were the only ones in the store not wearing face masks this morning. The manager said that they are not Schnucks employees, and they can choose whether to wear a mask. This is inexcusable.

First of all, they incessantly text you through the shopping experience, so do not make the mistake of thinking you are saving time and can work on anything else while the shopping is being done. My major complaint, though, is about a pick-up order I had scheduled. The app is ridiculously slow, so letting them know I was on my way didn't work. I was already in the store parking lot several minutes before I could get through and let them know I was there. After about ten minutes I received a message that no one was available -in my reserved time slot- to bring out my order, so I had to go in the store. The entire reason I used the service was to NOT go in the store! There was no option on the app for me to decline this request, so I drove home and got on an online chat with customer service. After nearly an hour I was told that I would receive complimentary delivery of my order by 9PM. Did I mention my initial pick-up window was 1-2 PM? Shortly after ending the chat I received a text that my order was cancelled. The total time that I spent completing the order, chatting with the shopper, going to the store, and communicating with customer service has been over three hours. The amount of stress is immense, though the number of grocery items I have received is zero. Shop at stores that provide their own curbside pick-up, as this outside company is awful.

Worst service, they added a replacement items without notifying me. I was in chat with the person who is handling the order, asking not to buy replacement items but he bought even after telling that even we are not going to use that item. Worst service and lost my bucks.

I have been a loyal user since i got my Express membership 11 months ago. I use it for simple shopping to fully stocking up. Today for the first time i got charged a $6.50 fee for a 16 lbs bag of dog food. On previous orders i would order cases of water, soda, and several other items. The water weighs 22 lbs and i have never been charged a HEAVY DELIVERY FEE. This fee is no where list on their website, and under the express membership you are not supposed to be charged fees. This was the last draw for this company. In the past month i have had 2 different Shoppers try to deliver the same order, in the one order all the frozen stuff was thawed, the ice cream was leaking out of the bag. I have had item say item were purchased but not delivered. I have someone show up an hour early, we were not even home yet. And now learn there are unknown fees that shopper can choose to add or not. My order today was $167.00 after all their fees I was billed $201.00. I am so over it.

System glitch canceled my order as the shopper was gathering my items, customer service was no help and said I wont get my groceries and there are no longer times available. I wasted a week and 5 hours in the chat to speak with someone.

THEY ARE THIEVES AND TAKE YOUR MONEY! Instacart doesn't want you to see the actual receipt.. and this is why: My receipt at Shaws came to $211.69. There was a $12.41 Service Charge. I gave a $20.00 tip. That's a total of $244.10 BUT THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD $280.64; that means that they kept and additional $36.54 !! Are you kidding me. They also don't take phone calls anymore (probably because they are ripping people off). STAY AWAY AND TRY ANOTHER SERVICE.

Not reliable at all. Do not waste your time. Order was cancelled one hour before to be picked up without explanation after three days of having order es and been assigned a pick up time. Not respectful at all of the situation. I will never try their services and I don't wish any success after Covid-19.

When I received my order I was not made aware of the delivery, the driver did not knock or ring the bell. I received bread and hamburger meat that i didn't order. The buy one get one free A&W Sodas, i only received one 6pack , where is my free one. The two packs of strawberries were all poured out in the bag. I am very unhappy and dissatisfied. When I called your number the recording said your system was inoperable. Publix say they have nothing to do with it. I want this issue rectified ASAP. I would like an adjustment to my order or better yet a full refund. I will not be ordering through you company again. It's sad that your company is ruining Publix's

First time using Instacart and most definitely my last. The shopper picked out several of my items wrong and without approval and charged a case of beer that I did not approve to keep. I have contacted Instacart via email and chat more than 10 times and have not been able to speak with anyone. I dont want anything free. I want my stolen money back. Your shoppers are immoral thieves. I will be filing a complaint with my bank. I wanted to let the community be aware that there are better options to grocery delivery that do not involve all this wasted effort.

Instacart is terrible. They treat their shoppers like dirt. They deactivate their shoppers for the mistakes instacart has made. Without the shoppers, they'd be out of business. I highly recommend staying away from this company.

Our first use of instacart (thru the Fred Meyer app) two weeks ago went ok, aside from items not delivered. (Out of stock?)
Today, the order had quart s of milk (8) instead of half gallons.
Driver says " the app said quarts" call Fred's.
I call Fred's, "sorry, you have to speak to instacart" and gives me the wrong number. I call IC and, "151 minute wait time". Ok I get it, we're all busy. I try to go to IC online, and, no way to report a wrong item, cause, I didn't buy on the IC app, I bought on the Fred's app. WTF!
Not a real happy camper.

On April 14, my Instacart account faced a major security breach. More than $4,000 in charges were racked up in less than three hours. The first one ($1,200) I saw and canceled immediately. The rest, I didn't see until later in the day. Immediately, I called, emailed and sent online messages to Instacart. I heard nothing. Not one response beyond a series of automatic replies. More than 24 hours later, still no response. I contacted my bank and filed a fraud claim. I also asked my bank to reach out to Instacart, since clearly my case wasn't important enough to warrant a simple reply to one of its customers.

If I could give a negative review I would. I've tried using them twice and although I learned to order like a week ahead of time I can't get a time with a "No Time Slot Available." I set my order up 4 days ago and still no chance of getting an order. Don't know when I'll see my food if at all!!
Their service sucks.

I placed orders two separate times for pickup FOUR to FIVE days later. Not for delivery. Not even for pickup the next day, and both times these orders could not be fulfilled. And I got the messages from Instacart the same day I was scheduled to go pick up my items. Today I got an email from the company inviting me to place an order, and the only supermarket that is in the program does not have any dates any time soon.
I hate having to send someone to pick up groceries for me, so I figured that at least ordering for delivery would minimize the health risks for this person. I AM DONE TRYING INSTACART.

Seemed to work pretty well, but one item was incorrect, where I was charged for the 4.99 bag of seedless lemons I ordered, but received a single lemon, about 50 cents, I would guess, though I did not shop single lemons. The low rating is because the support is impossible, a continuous loop, from which I can get no assistance for a credit to make this order right. I am really disappointed. I will try another service next time.

We used instacart for the very first time this week shopping at Costco delivery by Melinda (employee of Instacart) We were very excited and grateful for this service during this stay at home coronavirus in our country. Yesterday we made another order through instacart~Costco then received an email from Instacart that reads:"We've detected unusual activity related to your account and have placed it on hold for your protection. If an order was recently placed on your account, we've already canceled and refunded it for you". We tried to call instacart direct ..after SEVERAL attempts to reach them we gave up and called Costco customer service that reviewed our account ( Thank god for honest Costco employees). After a long call with Costco customer service turns out that this employee from Instacart used our membership number and someones debit card and purchased over $100.00 of items from Costco while shopping for us then returned the items at costco and got cash back for those items so this Instacart employee walked away with over $100.00 thinking they would not be caught if they use our member number and someone elses debit card!! We have reported this to management at Costco the will be pulling the video camaras (they have day and time when this Instacart shopper was at Costco and they can locate Instacart empolyee, and ID information to press charges of theft! Instacart was of no help would not answer phone! We will NEVER use this Instacart EVER again!!
Obviously Instacart DOES NOT screen their employees!!!

I have made a complaint with Costco Corporate office and disputed the charges made by "Instacart" with Bank of America. I made several attempts to resolve the issue with "Instacart" and have received no response. Your shopper/delivery associate added items to my order which were not authorize or receive. So my wife order from them on the 28th. March.They said it would be delivered on the 30th. She got a notification the same day it was delivered already. WELL NOT TO OUR HOME. Still not sure we recieved $150. Worth of grocery. unless the unnamed delivery person keep them. U never know these days. I am right now on hold. 3rd time keep hanging up on me. When I called this time I had a 51minute wait time. No.lie they just got on the phone and told me I.now have a 146minutes of wait time. ( INSTA THIEFS) AVOID AND USE A REAL FRIEND OR GET SCREWED AND HAVE YOUR MONEY TAKEN OR YOUR GROCERIES.

I ordered $135 worth of groceries from Aldi's through instacart I opted for free delivery place my order and paid for it then I was told there were no delivery dates available so I tried to change the delivery to store pickup which was impossible I cannot get my money back I don't know when I will get my groceries delivered there is no phone customer service and I cannot get any answers off the website

This happened to us with Instacart and our Costco order - delivery promised yesterday, message received advising order had been delivered, credit card charged yet nothing has been delivered. I've texted, phoned, even direct messaged on Twitter and all we've received are automated responses from Instacart advising that they're very busy these days. I'll be stopping payment on my credit card and never using Instacart again.

They delivered the wrong order and some missing online charge is twice the actual items that i received. I had to insist that the delivery person would give me a receipt.
