I placed an order for delivery. My order was supposed to be delivered the next day at 12:00, around 12:45 I received a text stating that my delivery is being postponed due to high demand and it's expected to be delivered around 2:45, the crazy thing is I never received my groceries. I can't get ahold of anyone when I call or post a chat! The representative I guess stole my food. The sad thing is on Kroger website my order still shows out for delivery, I will honestly never use this service again! I will recommend anyone I talk to, to not use this service.

Placed order for my 87 year housebound mother. I live 500 miles away and I am unable to go to the grocery store for her and her caregiver is sick. The soonest we could get the order was a week away. We thought this would be a lifeline, but on the day of delivery, I started getting messages that the order was delayed and delayed again. Finally, they just canceled the order. Tried calling their toll free number.. wait time 200 minutes at 7:00am ET. Sent email, tried twitter. How can they do this? I had my spot in line. If they can't deliver on the date of my reservation, they need to roll it over to the next day since it appears that a reservation doesn't mean crap. If they are over promising, then they need to reduce the number of reservations they accept in a day. Seriously, it isn't that hard to be customer friendly and not that hard to adapt if things are getting backed up. Canceling your customers deliveries is not customer friendly and a can be dire for those with no other choice then to depend on a grocery delivery service.

Terrible customer service! They are not taking phone calls at the present time and are not replying to chat. If you have a business to run, run it. Otherwise, close the doors. Publix should can them.

This was my worst experience with instacart. They substituted many items that I did not like. There were Items that we’re not in the delivery but I was charged for In the original computer input. There was no receipt in the delivery. They usually deducted the items that were not delivered on the receipt. My charge item was exactly what I had listed. So I paid for items I didn’t receive.

Instacart has a tendency of really screwing up half the time. I put in an order of well over a hundred dollars worth of food that I've been waiting on for nearly three weeks, I can't seem to get a delivery time, and I DON'T want to go into the store to pick it up. They really don't care either. Every time I try to go to the check out to get my order delivered, I can't get it delivered because there are no delivery orders. i'm ready to say f**k it and give up on them at this point, because they're so inefficient, lackadaisical and uncaring.

Made my initial Instacart order at Fresh Thyme, Cranberry Twp., PA, and it was delivered within a couple of days, so I FOOLISHLY allowed $9.99 to be debited from my credit card to purchase a month of their "Free delivery" of >$35 orders service. Surprisingly, the prices were the regular off the shelf and sale prices.
However, unfortunately, my next Instacart order was at Aldi, Wexford, PA. It was entered on the Instacart website on or about 3/30/20. At that time, even though I kept checking back three or four times a day, it was not until about five days later on 4/4 that I could get any possible delivery date or time. Fortunately, that day, they offered a "First Available" option, which in desperation, I agreed to. My order then showed delivery between the next day, Sunday, through Thursday. As each day passed until today, Thursday, 4/9, the expected delivery window kept changing from whatever the next day was to Thursday. It was implied that today, Thursday, 4/9, would be the delivery day. Again, while anxiously a waiting the call that the Instacart shopper was on his/her way with the groceries, I received a message at 7:40PM that the order was canceled, not delayed, not rescheduled, not any offer of an option to get the groceries that we have waited nearly two weeks to receive.
Needless to say, I will email them to cancel my account and demand a refund of my monthly membership payment of $9.99. No sense in feeding this pig any longer. It doesn't even OINK!!!

We ordered our groceries ON SATURDAY, DID THE FAST AND FLEXIBLE DELIVERY. WAS TOLD DELIVERY WOULD BE THURSDAY EVENING. WE WAITED AND WAITED. WE GOT A MESSAGE AT 8-30 THAT IT WAS CANCELLED! WE FIGURED THEY WOULD PUT US AT PRIORITY FOR FRIDAY MORNING. NOTHING!! WE WERE ABLE TO PUT OUR ORDER BACK IN THE CART. STILL TODAY NO DELIVERY TIMES AVAILABLE!! THEY SUCK!!!

Horrible customer service. Unfortunately Aldi has selected instacart as their delivery partner. Before COVID-19 I shopped Aldi weekly. I have a compromised immune system and my physician said do not go out to shop. I will never shop Aldi again because of instacart. They delayed the first order a week because of issues they said they had with their app. I missed having some groceries I wanted for Easter. When the order was finally delivered they sent a duplicate order. Today they are trying to send me a triplicate order. The shopper told the instacart rep this. The shopper went out of her way working with instacart to try to cancel. The rep she was working with said he couldn't help. I needed to contact customer service. They no longer answer their customer service phone. They instead have a message instructing you to go online. Online there is no chat. I'd advise customers to find a grocery store that does not use this service.

The delivery man accidentally gave me the Publix store receipt for my grocery delivery. The groceries came to alittle over $96. When i received my invoice from instacart, they charged me over $108 I called Publix and their employee told me that this company adds fees to the normal publix prices. What you think you are paying for is going to be totally different when you get your bill from instacart. I am cancelling my membership and will never use this company again.

I used to love instacart in 2017 when shoppers were actually staying in touch, reading your directions, and getting what you wanted or worked with you to find suitable replacements. In my recent orders this has not happened at all. No communication, unacceptable replacements if any, completely wrong items, and items missing. And then: impossible to get customer service at all. They made it impossible to get in touch with them. It used to be that one can call and wait or schedule a call, but now it just says they will be in touch. Guess what? They never are. I am going to dispute the entire charge of my last order because this is ridiculous. The people who shop and deliver are trying their best while being totally exploited. They get a small fraction compared to what Instacart actually gets. Disgusting!

We have been using the service for more than two years. 95% of the time - service is excellent. Like so many in a national crisis, they were overwhelmed with triple the demand almost over night. Being overwhelmed leads to hurry then mistakes and then necessary changes. Most of the negative reviews I've read show a lack of patience and immediate personal demands to be met. Does instacart need to make some changes - yes but from my overall and recent experiences - it appears they are working to meet the demand. Instacart needs to think about Longterm and their loyal membership while consumers need to be a little more empathetic in a crisis and appreciate the service this is to a community in turmoil. one thing that I think is important is to be sure their shoppers have the necessary tools to do their jobs-particularly now. The bottom line based on my experience is that the service is very good.

No problem placing an order or getting a time of pickup assignment, then 20 minutes before pickup very rudely told by Instacart employee in my selected store "I don't have time, I am picking tomorrow's orders" When told to pull my order (sooner in the queue) she says "I don't have time for that."
Couldn't be a worse situation, to order 1 week ahead, yet no service, then rudeness. You should close the business, you don't know how to run one. Stop promising what you can't deliver...ever heard of Ponzi?

if I could give them negative stars I would. I was trying to be a responsible adult during this pandemic and decided to order with them. I ordered at lease 20 items but they only delivered 6 items none of the 6 items they delivered were correct. I've been on the phone waiting and chat waiting for hours no response. The chat person finally answered but ended my chat before I could respond. I'm still waiting on the phone, they are so rude. During this pandemic you see the true colors and unprofessional-ism of companies and people.I just spent over $100 on grocery for nothing, this is so sad. Do not go with Instacart they do not care

Guy that got assigned to deliver our items from Costco told us that our card is not working and if we try to give another card our current order will get cancelled. He further offered to pay from his side and asked us to give cash when he comes to deliver.We agreed to that and paid him $200 cash when he delivered. Later we were also charged on our card from Costco. It looks like there was never an issue with our card abd rhe guy cheated us.

I placed my first order through Costco. I saw the blurb at the top saying prices will be slightly higher so I went to look at their website. The website says they charge 5%. I would have been okay with that. I received my order 5 days later and was charged 20% over the total on the Costco receipt!! $305 for $241 worth of groceries, of course you can't contact anyone because their site is experiencing "higher than usual" traffic. Probably a lot of angry, soon to be ex-customers. I will NEVER use this service again. How do they get away with this? Such blatant misrepresentation.

On March 23 I placed an order. On March 24 the order was delivered. I was charged through my bank account $66.82 which was everything I ordered. However, the receipt I that left with the order said they charged me $32.67. I didn't receive milk, bread and toilet paper that was not on the receipt but I paid for these items evidently. And I didn't receive the milk and was charged on the receipt for that. I would advise if you like Aldi's go to the store, but don't order online for delivery. I did it because we are going through this pandemic and I'm trying to stay out of the markets. I would advise Walmart. They are wonderful!!

I decided to try instacart for the first time. They gave me a 2-hour window. I waited but nothing. I checked and they moved the time another hour so I said okay and wait in another hour. Now it's been 3 hours I look at my phone and they canceled my order no explanation nothing. and they have the nerve to put a 5% tip on my payment when they can't even deliver on their goods.

DONT DO IT! Instacart is allowing shoppers to rip people off. In a time like this, how dare you! I will be trying to find AS MANY of these stories as i possibly can in hopes to open a class action against you! Shoppers substituting less expensive items and no money will be returned to u as they are not substituting through the app! Ordered 2; 96oz almond milks, get 2; 64oz instead. Where did my $4 differential go? And they give no reciept, why?? Why would instacart not produce a reciept FROM THE STORE, for something that i am paying for??? Are they part of this? So i just paid instacart almost $200 for groceries from Country Mart. The driver instead went to some discount grocery outlet not even affiliated with instacart. I've never heard of the store nor do i want food from some mystery discount outlet. She changed my order as she wanted as well. I have the receipt the shopper left in the bag with a bunch of stuff i never ordered.

to be delivered on the 22nd at Costco using instacart services; Adriana check mark that she had "delivered it" at my home address, when I went to my home camara not even a shadow of this person placing anything on my front door; I never received the purchase items after trying to contact instacart via email and phone number with no one to follow up my situation I decided to report a claim to the FTC. NEVER AGAIN WILL ORDER USING Instacart!!!!!
