I initially contacted Frank on 4/13 inquiring about a powder coating oven that he was selling on Facebook Marketplace. He quoted me pricing and we exchanged messages over a period of a month. I even asked for his website to validate if he was legit. He seemed legit, was very responsive and knowledgable to all of my questions. He required all money before it was shipped, I paid the amount in full of $3447 (unit) and $990 (shipping). Then once he received my money is when I started getting the runaround and excuses. On 6/17 he couldn't send out because his laundry room flooded, asked for my shipping address again after I had already provided it the day before. Then on 6/24, contacted him again because I had not heard from him and he never provided any shipping as promised. His next excuse was he wrecked his car and couldn't confirm. Never heard back so, contacted him again on 6/26 and said he was still dealing with his car issue working from home. Then said they forgot to install a part I requested so had to uncrate it and reorder shipping and said it was going out that day and would send tracking, which I never received. I contacted him once again on 6/29 to see if it went out and he gave the excuse he was carless and would have to find out but that it would go out that day and showed a computer screen showing dispatched. I told him I was losing money and orders were piling up because I sold my oven when I found out this one was shipping. It should have been shipped within 5 days. On 7/2 I contacted him again asking and no response, then again on 7/6, he then replied he was out of town and wont know until later. On 7/7 he said it didnt ship. I never heard anything. On 7/15, I contacted him again, asked for shipping, he said they were in the middle of moving into a bigger building and would get shipping. He promised to send it then, never got it. Once again contacted him 7/16, he told me that he was doing this on the side so he had been busy, but back on 7/16 he told me he was part owner. I knew then I was scammed. He claimed the unit was at the hub for shipping but they had to return it because they dont have truck w/liftgate as I requested. I know that can't be true because I just had a truck come here to pick up one with a liftgate and they would not have accepted the order if they could not deliver it.Then he tells me that I need a forklift and he would split it, until I told him it was $300, he said no way. Then I told him to deliver it to my work so it was supposed to be on its way. Then 7/19 I contacted him to see when. He said hes been throwing up and had not made arrangements. Then 7/20 he said Thursday. On Tuesday I asked for tracking, no response, Wednesday I asked again, he replied back late telling me hes been at the ER. I finally told him I was done with excuses and that Ive lost a lot of money and customers. He told me that if its not within 48 hrs he will refund my money. I told him I dont believe there was ever an oven shipped so I want the full refund. He refused and now said I'm demanding a refund. He will not refund shipping but can't provide any proof of shipping, only an expired shipping that never was picked up on 6/17.I did not get my product as promised from purchase date of 6/16, its now 7/23. He also refuses to credit it on the original payment, but claims a check was mailed. It has been 2 weeks and I have yet to receive it. I’ve contacted him 3 times asking where my refund is and he reads it but never responds.
