Product from IKEA for wardrobes was actually very good.
Unfortunately the delivery had broken a pain of glass on the sliding doors.
We had booked a fitter through their Task Rabbit service.
This also worked out well until whilst fitting he came across the broken glass. He advised me that he would have to return at an additional call out cost of £30 once ikea reordered the item.
Ikea service was excellent delivering the new glass.
My task rabbit came the following week & refitted.
He issued me an invoice.
I emailed this to IKEA following their instructions . I was advised it did not contain the correct information for they’d accounts team to compensate me.
I cannot contact the task rabbit colleague anyone. Ikea do not want to know. Therefore I am lost with a deficit of £30. 60 minutes of uncompensated phone calls. A morning lost awaiting redelivery of the glass and also another morning for the task rabbit to come back out.
This is IKEAS fault. Very poor uncaring customer service. I will not use them again.

We bought a pax system wonderful wardrobe everything is hidden and looks amazing no more chest of drawers in room and left me with so much space love it
Customers services were brilliant there was a panel on the door that was bent they sent the wrong part so contacted them again and because u can’t get that part on spares they sent the whole frame which I thought was really good of them and because we live over a hour away from the store they sent it to my house and we was always informed of when it would be delivered by the driver. So we could pop out and just come back when it arrived.
When we will be visiting ikea again we will bring back the rest of the frame as not needed and someone else might need a spare part from it
Thank u ikea

Visited IKEA in Warrington this week and it was a refreshing trip. I bought a few usual thing I didn't know I needed and also a draw chest from "Casualty" corner. The woman assistant there had the ready built chest moved and on my trolley in a jiffy (and she was so happy to help) she advised me to ask for assistance to get it into my car - after paying I asked for assistance and was surprised to have a guy directed to my car and expertly wangled the uinit into the back. It was all too much for an old cynic - Thank You IKEA for a great experience (Oh and the bag of DAIM sweets)

Update on the below issue.
I just check my cctv and a van did turn up. The occupants can be seen slowly driving past, looking out of the window and up at the house. They then drive around the block and come back the other way. Stop outside for 20 seconds then drive off without getting out of the vehicle.
They must get paid if they turn up, geo logged to confirm then drive off and the customer has to prove them wrong. Well guys its all on camera!! Smile!
Today had a delivery due of over £2000 worth of wardrobes and bedroom furniture for my two kids bedrooms. Bought in Thurrock Lakeside shop a week ago and booked to deliver today, delivery slot between 9am & 1pm.
Received a text yesterday confirming delivery for today in said time slot, and advising further message will come when delivery guys were close.
Waited all morning..nothing! No text, no knock.
Called Customer service at 1.10pm. Took 20mins to get through!
They first advised that he could see 'delayed' on his screen, which (his words) I know it won't please you!
Then he put me on hold while he 'checked' with the transport dept. Then came back to tell me they had come but no-one was in!!
I told him I'd been in my study all morning and could see out of the window which looked on to the front door and can assure him no-one came up my garden path. I also informed him that my Ring doorbell and the security cameras on every corner of the house told me no-one had been to my property all day!
At first he couldn't tell what time they had come as I said I could check and see on my camera's and send footage. Then he suddenly was able to tell me midway through the hour long conversation they came at the exact time I started talking to him on the phone! When I put this to him he didn't know what to say apart from he would happily rebook for another time.
I argued that if they came at the time he stated they could come back as it was only a short while ago. He said they couldn't come back!! I argued why would they drive all the way back to the depot to unload only to reload for another day and come all the back out. Surely it was common sense for them to turn around now. But he reiterated they couldn't come back!
I also made him aware that if they won't deliver today (which I'd taken off from work to do) they would have to pay for my day of lossed earnings. Especially as 'If they had truly been to my house' they were only as short distance away which a quick phone call could fix the problem. But he refused to pay compensation or call them back!!
Absolutely unacceptable reponse!!!!
Lying, Unhelpful, Unapologetic!
Will be taking this further!

I was in Ikea Belfast today looking at kitchens and kitchen planning. We sat down at a computer to try and use the planner. It’s not that easy trust me! But within 5 minutes a young guy called Cameron came over and asked were we ok. He was a god send. He spent an hour going through different plans, prices, everything! Knowledge fantastic patience fantastic all round fantastic! This young lad is a credit to your company and I hope others have had the same experience

If there was an option to give half a star, I would. Not even sure where to start with the outrageously terrible delivery service. Our items got lost, damaged, unable to track them, delivery very late, and when delivered they were the wrong items. Then when you request a redelivery the same thing happens. So far, in the span of two weeks, this has happened three times. We are amidst moving houses so the Ikea items were crucial for our move, which just accentuates the frustration of the terrible delivery. And let’s not forget that if you want to contact someone, it’s almost as impossible as sitting on a cloud, which makes it even more frustrating to get things sorted again.
One tip for IKEA, the point of a delivery service is convenience; if you’re going to make people’s lives more difficult then do not offer the option of delivery. Sort your organizational logistics out before offering customers a delivery option.

I always thought Ikea was worth it. I guess I was wrong. Their customer services are incompetent.
I bought a bed last that was supposed to be delivered last Thursday. They messed up the delivery, half of the frame is missing, the 2 delivery men told me to wait for the packing team to get in touch to rearrange a delivery. No one called me so the next day I called customer service (bare in mind I didn't have a bed, so I had to sleep on the sofa, with my flatmates coming in the living room 24/7). Customer service did not know anything about a missing part, no one contacted them. They then tell me that they can't deliver the missing box for another full week. They offered me to reimburse me for an air mattress for the value of £30 but declined the pay me back for a courier instead, so I could go to the store and get the box myself which was cheaper. 7 days later and 3 calls later, I had been promised an early delivery at 7AM by 2 different member of staff. I receive a text message saying the delivery will come from 11:48 to 12:48, well guess what Ikea? I work. And I can't afford to take 2 days off to fix your mistake. I can't afford to pay for a £40 delivery for your terrible services. I didn't even get my full delivery cost back, got a £20 voucher. I work in customer service, and it is the worst service I've gotten so far.
Those people are not worth the time. It is much better to buy from their competition and spend a little bit more money for a much better service. I discourage everyone reading this to buy from them, unless you can go and pick up your order, but double check that they've put everything in the box....

Specific to IKEA Nottingham
I would advise going online first, or using the catalogue. Know exactly what you need and go straight to the information hub to get the correct aisle and bay number. This way you can avoid the main store completely.
The layout is ridiculous, you can spend ages trying to get out. Told, no trolley needed as all is in the market. Get to the market and told to get a trolley and go all the way through the store to the start again. Ok if you are completely bored and what to kill a day. But if you need to make a purchase, forget it.
In summary. IKEA make it ridiculously hard work to shop in the Nottingham store. Work I’m not prepared to do.

The staff have no idea what's going on, 6 months it took for my kitchen to be completed, had to live on takeaway for almost 3 months for a family of 7, ikea have made no contact to apologise and I have had no reply to my complaint letter see below Dear installation department (Customer service Manager)
We have now finally reached the completion of our Kitchen installation which I can only express as being a horrific experience riddled with incompetence at every turn.
We began this process over six months ago experiencing error after error which required us to travel to your store several times, further problems occurred after a change in the way you operate which I was assured would not affect me as a customer, these changes that where coming in to place days after my appointment which was delayed on several occasions and resulted in me being requoted again at a higher cost for my quartz work top, I was also advised prior to this that I would not have to pay kitchen inspirations for the carpentry of the cupboards as this would now be part of the inclusive quote with Ikea, yet this was not the case, I ended up paying for a revised higher quote and the carpentry separately further more these changes resulted in further delays , the disappearance of my file and delays in the delivery and installation of my work top directly due to the lack of communication with in your departments, including staff members simply forgetting to send the request for our Cortez work top after we had paid. After having our kitchen partly installed and due to the worktop not being ordered then my order disappearing, we had to endure 4 weeks without a usable kitchen which is a costly and stressful experience for a family of 7.
I have spoken to at least 15 different members of staff during this process, who have not been able to explain why these problems and delays have occurred but clearly had no clue as to what was going on themselves and on many occasions was told a staff member would call me back and didn’t bother calling.
I would also like to add that items where returned by collection 4 weeks ago and yet I received no refund for these items. (1x 30261307, 2 x 60205664, 1x 30245218)

I like Ikea as a shop, and the quality of their furniture etc is generally very good. The one thing that let's them down is their delivery cost - it's absolutely and utterly disgraceful, £39. I recently spent nearly £2000 at Ikea, and HAD to have the stuff delivered, (either that or rent a van). And still the cost for delivery was £39. I've actually just deleted an order because of the delivery charge and the item I wanted to buy won't fit in my car.

I am trying to contact ikea to order a few extra items for the kitchen that I have already spent over £3000 on...the customer services have refused to give me the number of the kitchens department and said I would have to go to the store in person. I know that the items that I need are available as a special order only and that I would not be able to pick them up from the store. I live 90mins drive away...all I need to do is speak to someone to make the order. Ikea are incredibly unhelpful and treat customers with contempt.

Shockingly poor and appalling customer service with the most ignorant staff.
I contacted this utterly rubbish company several times only to waste my time. They cannot find my reference number, then email me from an account that cannot receive emails - so the communication is impossible.
All I needed was a £5 voucher as a compensation for their disgusting service as they sent it to me but it had expired:

(a) Items purchased online for delivery (after much difficulty trying to get IKEA's checkout process to function correctly)
(b) Two of the products were broken sufficiently to make them useless for their intended purpose.
(c) I went online to IKEA seeking help
IKEA (UK) website navigation
Home > Customer services > FAQ > Returns and Product issues
Page heading: Returns and Product issues
Something is wrong with my product, what can I do?
Answer: "If you can’t make it back to an IKEA store, [I purchased online - not at the blooming store!] you can *contact us* and we will discuss options with you."
(d) I clicked the *contact us* link and was navigated to the following page:
Home > Customer services > Contact us
Which merely had more FAQs including this link:
"Something is wrong with my product, what should I do?"
(e) I clicked that link.
(f) Yep you guessed it... Not a helpful =delivered with damage= reporting form.
The online buyer is merely taken back to the previous "Returns and Products issues page!!!
A stupid, frustrating, maddeningly unhelpful circular process, (just as the basket checkout process was) — that looks almost designed to insult customers once ikea has banked the cash.
What The "...." is wrong with the designers and managers of Ikea's business processes and web design? Their handling of a few of the key processes of online trading - especially online contact / customer service - is an absolute disgrace.

UPDATE 8th Nov
Day 4 without a fridge freezer
Citizens advice told me IKEA’s should be sending me an automatic replacement. I’ve told ikea this, they are not willing to even.
I’ve milk in a cool bag in the garden. My food shop from Monday has been thrown out. I have to but meat on a daily basis so it’s kept at the correct Temperature.
I’ve teeeted been on Facebook and Instagram- nothing!
No One will tell me when the engineer comes on 13th if he’ll have the parts to fix it or how long I’ll have to wait for a new fridge freezer.
It’s like living in the dark ages.
If I’d known Ikeas customer service was so appalling I definitely would not have bought it from them
Word of warning to others
Ikea my brand new £650 fridge freezer has completely stopped working for no apparent reason. After hours trying to get through to someone via phone (because you don't have an email address and live chat doesn't work), you have told me no one can do anything to repair or replace until a week tomorrow... That will be 9 days without a fridge and freezer. And when the engineer finally comes, will they have a solution? Or will a part need to be ordered or a replacement be sent out - which means additional days without this necessary item! I have two small children and no way to freeze food or keep their milk cool (to name just two obstacles this will pose for our home). I threw away c.£100 worth of freezer food this morning. The Isande comes with a warning system - that didn't work. I would advise caution to anyone who is planning to spend their money on this product.

Ikea UK, i am writing to you having received unsatisfactory assistance via the costumer service hotline. My order number is 1060948674 I ordered online and requested a delivery on Sunday the 3rd is November.between 7am 1pm. I tracked the delivery and at about 3pm when it had been saying I’m the next stop for quite some time (and after 2 hours of tardiness) I called your customer service line. After waiting for 30 minutes to get a response I was reassured the service operators checked with delivery and it will still arrive, so I had to wait home longer, for the delivery. At about 8pm I received a call from the company (after waiting home for an extra 7 hours) staying that in fact the delivery would not come. I explained I work most days during work hours and will only be home from 6pm on Monday 4th November (today). It was agreed delivery will be made after 6pm and today at about 1pm I called ikea customer service and reconfirmed this would be the case. At 6pm I received a call from an Ikea representative asking if delivery was made, again I explained that as previously agreed I am now at home awaiting it and the rep said they’ll speak to delivery company and call me back. Having not heard back for nearly two hours and no delivery arriving I called ikea and after awaiting about 30 minutes on the phone was told there was a mixup and items won’t be arriving today after all and will only be arriving on Thursday but in working hours (no longer allowed me to request after 6pm even if day previous they did) and would not offer up any sufficient solution such as making sure it is delivered tomorrow or offer compensation. offered 40 pounds which is in fact less than the 49 pounds delivery charge which I paid for- a service clearly not provided) for the stress, time, effort I have been experiencing or for potential work hours I will be missing hoping this delivery arrives on Thursday. It seems as though Ikea believes it is okay to punish its own costumers for Ikea’s own faults and does not know how to rectify a situation properly. I cannot understand why the company thinks it is okay to have left me out of pocket, out of time (both in time I wasted waiting for a delivery, on the phone with no fair options presented and now for somehow having to wait extra days for items though it is through no fault of my own they weren’t delivered). I do expect a formal response on the above.

I visited the Ikea in Lakeside today just to buy 2 x Pax Komplement rails for my wardrobes. I asked a member of staff for help at the entrance and have to say his customer service was exceptional and I didn’t want it to go unnoticed.
His name was Emmanuel S, he quickly guided me to the customer order desk to explain how I could collect the small item I ordered. These Ikea trips could be long winded for small bits so I’m extremely happy that he helped make this a lot easier for me and with such a positive attitude.

Very poor customer service. The staff don’t know their own policies been given two different advice about the same matter by two different staff. And also one particular lady was very unwelcoming and rude, wouldn’t listen to what I was saying to her at all and kept talking over me. Ended up leaving £300 worth of chairs in the store to avoid a scene. Anyways only buy items if you’re 100% sure you will keep them and it will last. Because if you do change your mind and the item has been used (even thought it looks brand new and can be resold) they will not accept it doesn’t matter what their return policy says. I didn’t even expect a full refund because it was unboxed, just wanted something back.
