It's a shame others have a less satisfying experience. Don't be necessarily put off though.
I have just finished paying off my 2nd loan with them and have had no problems at all - in fact I have been kept informed very well, from immediate email confirmations, DD payment schedules and a "final payment" listed on my bank statements.
Setting up and letting the payments run their course has been completely issue free for me.
If it helps, the companies I had used were Harveys (furniture) and Vision Express, both dealt with the initial set up and all was good with both!

Firstly I have used this company in the past no problem at all plus paid off ! This week I had to take interest free credit for my new glasses at the vision express store... The process on the system were somewhat very slow to respond and blank screen appear ... I received text and email to say it is in the process so this left us find very odd ..... The store have tried to contact them and no avail to answer.. 3 days later still no answer and I have been checking online still no change so my last resort is call them myself. Discovered that they have already declined 3 days ago and can’t be bothered email either myself or supplier.. I said well there is some mistake I will go back reapply again Ikano customer services said don’t bother it will effect your score I told her my credit file is clean no default no late payment no error and I am looking at it now !!! They advised me appeal it ! What the point appeal and wait further for the outcomes if they can’t be bother give us an answer there and then but post a letter a week later... If you going accept or decline answer it not make it surprised .... Totally rubbish

Not consumer friendly, Requested a redemption via mortgage broker several other redemptions arrived from other creditors with no problems,but IKANO were awkward to the point that my remortgage was held up by them.Then as a consequence of them holding things up the mortgage company overpaid the IKANO account.Ikano now saying that they won't release funds from account because the mortgage company will have to request the money back as they overpaid.

I opened a savings account, and have encountered serious problems. First they allowed me to transfer the money in, but did not provide me with the codes to remove any money until weeks later. The online system does not work well at all. It is very slow and times out, so I have ended up doing too many attempts even though the password/username was correct. When you request a reset you are told to call, but they dont answer calls on week ends.

Received a user ID and security code text for someone, definitely not me. This is incompetence of the highest order. Maybe the user typed on the wrong mobile number, fair enough. But who sends out security login details without verifying the mobile number first? Criminal negligence and if this is an example of your security procedures be assured I would never use you and advise anyone else to avoid online banking with you.

The Lady Who help me when I was asking for the money was so understanding and helpful all the way..
I was a pain in the biiip.. because I call a lot at times to ask for the Money and about a lot of stuff in all the times I go through to the same Lady Who help me all the way.. She was so sweet and helpful, and from my applying to I got the money it was really fast so thumbs up to ikanobank from me a happy customer

You’re given a date on your statement to pay by, so you pay before that date yet still get charged a £12 late fee! Can’t wait to pay off the remaining balance and cut up my card and say bye bye to Ikano. Absolute s**t.

I have been in ikano bank 10years customers but just pluses i can not long it is expensive in tax and interest there.
My account has been hacker money, I call blocked my card and it has been so closed, I wait for a new card to come, but receive an email that says I must apply a new one that I try apply say it no.i think it is something strange when you are customers for 10 years .

Ikano Bank discriminates!
I am a spouse of a Nordic native who applied for a credit product from Ikano Bank. I applied for the IKEA Shopping Card while I wait for my first paycheque and investment withdrawal to come. I was approved for 3.500kr. They asked me to sign a contract and to provide valid ID (despite using NemID). Once I provided it, they suddenly declined my application stating it had to do with my "economy". I was not even afforded an opportunity or asked to show my employment or my investment statements. Yet it was critical that they have more information about my nationality, guised under "you are welcome to return if your economy changes". What?
I am beyond disappointed with Ikano Bank and I will be telling my friends, coworkers, media and anyone who will listen to avoid this company as they will approve people for a card then change their mind when they find out the applicant is a foreigner. Shame on Ikano Bank. Thanks for a Danish warm welcome!

I didn`t ask for extra kredit. They themselves found out I`m a honest customer, and offered me extra credit.
