I recently purchased a Mercedes SL, it is a CPO which comes with a 1 year warranty. The salesperson tried to sell me a MBZ extended warranty “today only” which I denied. I did an online inquiry and got a call from Keith. He was not pushy, and got me a much better deL, which starts after the CPO! My Lincoln is just out of factory warranty, and he got me a very fair deal on both cars....five years with no worries. The past reviews took away my fears with this company!

Just decided on Ideal. Talked to Shawn a month ago. He was very easy and forthcoming about all my questions. So after spending several days googling and reading decided to call Shawn back. Sean contacted me many times because I wasn't quite ready to commit. I had a lot going on so I couldn't just focus on going over the policy and I couldn't get it up on my phone at one time to even read it so he ended up having to call multiple times. he wasn't pushy and he was very informative. It actually seemed like he wanted to make sure that it was for me not just make a sell which rare in this type of business.

I looked online for a Extended warranty as our vehicle was approaching the 100,000 original Factory Warranty expiration. Shaun Michaels was so friendly and gave me the Elite Plan as he said would be the best choice for us. I saved a lot of money compared to what the Nissan Dealership offered me. I am happy to know that our vehicle is covered for another 100,000 miles. I love our car and hated to think I was going to have to possibly trade it in on a new one to have the peace of mind with the warranty needed when owning a car. I feel very satisfied with the quality of service I received from them today and will definitely recommend them to others.

I signed up with Ideal and purchased the top package to cover my vehicle for 100,000 miles. I had a transmission issue where the part was about 400 usd and the labor was 6.8 hours. Ideal (claim department - Joe Kelly.) would only pay for 3 hours of labor stating they do not pay the diagnostic fee (how do you know what is wrong if you can't diagnose the problem) and "do not cover removal or replacing the broken part" (direct quote, spoken on several occasions) and they said they would only pay 160 towards the part because that is what the part should cost, the contract states they will pay for new, not used parts, and I cannot get a torque converter for my 2014 Sierra for 160 used at a salvage yard, online the cheapest one I found was 260 but most are 400 plus.
At this point my vehicle has been at the shop for 15 days and no work has been completed because they will not respond to myself or the shop that needs the authorization to do the repairs. I have gotten a hold of ideal auto at different times (when they actually answer the phone) and have asked to be escalated and have been told management is not available and will call me back, not a single call back with any type of help. They will talk you in circles, tell you one thing then change it and deny previous conversations, blame delays on the repair shop (i have talked to the repair shop every day, it is one of their preferred shops, and I am told that the repair shop is having the exact same issues). I would not spend a dollar with ideal auto protect if I could do it again. It seems like a really dishonest company that is trying to scam money out of people who just need an auto warranty plan.
- Ideal has a web portal where you can see the status of your claim and review your contract and so forth. We have been trying to access that portal but it has been down for at least 4 weeks.
- Website says 24/7 customer service and claims, but claims is only available during normal business days and not at all on the weekends.
- The 30 waiting period is the same amount of time before you can get any work done that they say they will cover so the 30 money back guarantee is just a way for you to shop for a better warranty company because after you realize they won't cover the full cost of anything...your 30 days is up.
- Ideal states that the people who work there are ASE certified technicians but there seems to be little evidence of that.

Ive been having trouble getting a hold of the claims department so I started to do a little research. I thought it was weird that the company says its been in business for so long but I can't find anything about them. Then I looked at the reviews from TrustPilot and others and and the reviews seemed fake. So I contacted my states attorney and found out they are not licensed to do business in my state, Now I am worried they are just wanted to get my money and run. It seemed odd the price was so low. They just kept dropping the price until I bought. Now I feel like a fool.

Thank you iDeal, specially James and Scott. After my wife chose the car she wanted for our family we began looking for a warranty that fit our total budget. I did some research I found iDeal Auto. I couldn't find a bad review anywhere! Everyone else had so many of the same bad reviews. Don't pay dealers, deny claims etc. The Mercedes GL450 with 67000 miles was her choice and the dealer wanted 4500$ for a four year plan. I explained to Scott that the dealer was asking way too much and we couldn't afford the total cost. He spent almost 40 minutes explaining their Elite+ policy, all it covers, and even proved to me that the dealer warranty wasn't actually theirs! Dealers only resell vehicle service contracts for a major profit. So after a countless effort he was able to get us a rate of almost half the price $2350, but we had to purchase the coverage before we picked up the car so it shows as one less owner on the title. I was leary at first but afterall they clearly offered a 100% money back guarantee if our purchase for the vehicle didn't go through. So I didn't mind making the deal on my Amex. card. The agreement allowed us to use the coverage after 30 days and of course the coolant temp. sensor and another smaller item malfunctioned 8 months later. $1780 for parts and labor! We called Scott and he coordinated the whole process personally. The claims dept. gave approval immediately and included the loaner car as well. Two days later the car was repaired and they paid the dealer in full since our plan included a zero deductible. So cheers to you iDeal. You've made my life so much easier and I recommend them 100%!!

I had the AWESOME privilege of speaking with Shaun Michaels this afternoon. He was extremely patient with me and the many questions I had for him regarding the rules and policies for iDeal Auto Protect. I truly enjoyed speaking with someone who wasn't speaking 500 words per minute, someone who didn't sound like an auctioneer, someone who wasn't pushy and not giving me the time to speak because their trying sooooo hard to make a sale.
