I'm only doing this to support "Philosophers" advice from a few weeks ago, which was:
".... there has to be another way ... there always is .... search on google waiting times (for)edd and got this number 855 327 70 57 I'm in California btw so called ... oh and yeah tip /// _press 1 as soon as u hear the person answering that's the key... then youll wait for 5 mins like me or so... then say u wanna get transfer to a claim representative... because he will say that he helps with emails and passwords... but be nice and sweet like I was then you'll be directed and In 10 mins or so I was answered by a edd worker that skipped me the id me shit and sent me a direct email to my ui account suddenly after 10 mins upload my docs and Bam!!..."
My experience took a little longer bc I use a few names, due to marriage, divorce and me being too lazy to go to Social Security and officially change me name back to my maiden one. Anyway, by patiently calling the number recommended,I reached an edd claims worker, who was very sympathetic and patient, and eventually said she could send me a edd link to upload my documents.
A few days later I received a text with a link, which only worked on an IPhone, which I don't have. However, I do have a daughter who helped me out with hers. We uploaded my CDL but got stuck bc of a typo at edd, which made it so my ID did not match what they had. There was a button to report the problem which I hit. The next window said edd would send me an email with further instructions.
A few days later, I got a message at my account with a link for uploading "identity documents." I waited a few days thinking I was locked in a loop, but when I proceeded, I dot instructions on how to upload more documents (photo id and a selection of passport, utility bill etc. w/my name and address) from MY LAPTOP!!!
I did it, and got a confirmation number. It's been a day, and there hasn't been a change in my balance, but given what's going on, I feel like I could be on my way. At least now, if nothing more happens, I can call an edd rep and they can see my documents to make a decision (which was why the rep couldn't do anything about ID.me; she couldn't see what they had, or why they were taking so long).
As far as ID.me, they keep sending me apologetic emails, saying someone will soon be in contact with me, but that has yet to happen, after 2 1/2 weeks.
This route does require determination but at least it leads somewhere.

FINALLY got verified, BUT: I had to do it at 3am, after waiting for over 5 hours. That's LITERALLY waiting in front of my laptop for 5+ hours. I did this 3 different times. Once the referee finally connected with me, he was pleasant, professional and helped to complete the tedious process. Have not heard a word from EDD though. NO confirmation or acknowledgement at all. So NOW WHAT? LOL
