Dreadful experience. Ordered a storage unit on 02/09/18 and was advised at the time of a 15-week lead time. Emailed them three times after the 15-week mark and got no response. Tried phoning the listed mobile number several times but it always rang out. I involved Paypal in February, which prompted a reply advising that my order would be with me in 2-3 weeks. Not unexpectedly, nothing arrived, and this evening I've looked on their website and found that they've ceased trading. Not even the courtesy of emailing their customers with an apology - had to find this out myself. I'm sorry to see anyone in hardship, but with the way Carl has treated his customers, I'm not at all surprised that he has had to cease trading.

This company has probably gone out of business. Placed an order in December 2018 and never got the goods or replies to my messages. Trying to claim back 126 pounds from my cc company.

Unfortunately the same experience. Ordered x2 double vinyl units on 29th December, have chased twice and no response. Last chase I threated to take up with my credit card company which I've now done so I don't waste any more time. Interestingly the contact number has been removed from their website.
It's a shame because I ordered 4 double units from i-cubes a couple of years ago and I'm very happy with them.
The owner just needs to be honest with people who have the trust to pay up front

Seems like they went bust a whole back, hopefully anyone who has placed an order can retrieve their money through CC company or Pay Pal. (I got mine back via PayPal)

I would like to put right the suggestion that Vinyl Blox is attached to I Cubes. Vinyl Blox is my company, I worked for I Cubes in the past (hence the location being nearby) and am among those left in the lurch by Carl, with wages and monies owed to me (which i am still having to pursue). If you check our Trustpilot, we have a handful of reviews from our customers who have ordered and are very happy with our service and product.
Our product is indeed similar, as it is the same one I used to produce for I-Cube. If you have any questions please call the number on my site to put your mind at rest.
I feel rather wronged by this suggestion as i was put in a very deep financial hole by Carl's actions.

Further to my review a couple of weeks ago I have been trying to contact icube but unable to contact them by phone or email, even PayPal sent them an email which they fail to respond to. I did find a number for a company called economical storage who are in the same place as icube used to be. Economical storage have told me they have ceased trading so I advise everyone who has paid any money to his company contact your bank to get it back like I have already done and received a refund.

Do not waste your money with this company.
Having previously bought items from i-Cube, I had a good experience a few years ago, albeit service was slow.
Having ordered another unit in January 2019, I have repeatedly chased Carl by email and phone trying to get clarity on the order. I was fobbed off a few times with promises of delivery dates, none of which were fulfilled. I have now lost patience and am reclaiming my money via my credit card.

Rubbish. Took our money and then did not reply to emails asking for delivery date. Website now unavailable.Reported to trading standards and Citizens advice bureau. Will also report to Norfolk police.I will try all the appropriate channels required to get our money back from these people. How can you do this to your customers? We have worked hard to save this money and your unprincipled and unscrupulous actions have caused unwanted stress and upset. I wonder if you have remorse for your behaviour?

I too had a very bad experience with this firm, i purchased 6 single cubes from them. On delivery the cubes were packaged terribly which resulted in 2 of them being caved in on all 4 corners. When i contacted them to resolve the situation their customer service was non existent,it took me an age to get replacements. Luckily i came across Vinylblox these units are exactly the same spec and i have just purchased from them with an excellent customer experience. Please don’t use this company. I ordered from them about two months ago they look my money and I have not received the product. I have asked for a refund several times and have had no response so I am currently out of pocket and annoyed.

Just found all these sorry stories.
I too can add to this. Bought 2 x birch CD shelves. Took approximately 4 months to arrive, and when they did they we're dreadful. Very shabby workmanship. My five year old lad could have done something better with a plastic saw and hammer. Sent them back and didn't get a refund. Should've seen it coming a mile off.
Carl eh - Carl the thief. It'll come back to you lad.

I ordered a small, 2-cube vinyl storage unit from iCube on 7 October 2018. They have a very long delivery time (c 15 weeks), and I asked if my unit could arrive as soon as possible as my original shelving had collapsed - I was told that would be no problem. However, by 27 February 2019 I still hadn't received the unit, or any communication from the company. I rang to find out what was happening, and discovered the unit hadn't even been constructed. I asked for my money back, and I was told my payment would be refunded. It's now 1 April, and I still haven't received my money back. I've contacted PayPal to try and get my payment refunded, and if I end up having to take this company to court I'll do so. All in all, a very bad experience. It looks like many others have had similar experiences too. If they've stopped trading, I don't know how I'm going to get my money back.

22 weeks and waiting for 2 storage units. Echoing most other people I wish I'd read reviews. While I'll be pleased and relieved if the bloody things arrive, I am not holding out hope.
Have emailed and called repeatedly. Have had various promises from Carl, which are never met. I'm actually astonished he hasn't just changed his phone number. I'm pleased to read that some people receive the units, but have a strong suspicion that they may all be Carl's friends and family. Quite tempted to drive to Norfolk and collect them myself, although suspect it may be similar to Dorothy and her friends meeting the Great Oz.

Waaah - why didn't I look up reviews first?!! The website looks so legit and actually, unlike some other reviewers, I always managed to get hold of Carl on the phone and he usually emailed back - but obviously continually fobbing me off with promised deliveries that have never transpired.
I ordered on October 3rd last year and have been really patient. First promised delivery in December, then on 9th Jan was promised 'next week', then 24th Jan - 'next week', then again on 1st Feb 'next week'. We are now 1st March and I emailed yesterday with no response and I see that Carl has now removed his phone number from the website. I am 5 months in.
I ordered just 4 boxes!
I am loath to cancel my order as I have been really looking forward to them and I can't find anything similar that I want. I just want my order! Carl - please send it!

This company appears to have ceased trading, no longer fulfilling orders and not responding to any contacts. Dispute raised through patpal and recommend all others follow suit. Looks like site is still trading and taking payments through paypal. Suggests this is now potentially fraudulent activity if site not closed.

Ordered 1 unit at the beginning of February thinking it won't be too long. Wrong. Got through once on the phone and fobbed off with an excuse saying next week. All calls and emails ignored (loads) after that even to cancel and refund. Applied for a refund via card. Very poor, do not use.

Ordered in December 2018 and had no communication or ETA. Contacted the seller on a mobile (only number available), I could hear he was outside but said he was just checking the orders and said it would be with me on the 4th of March. I only received written confirmation of this when I escalated this through PayPal. I have since had to escalate further as the item has not arrived and I have received no confirmation of any kind. I don't believe this to be a con-artist. Just someone who has absolutely no idea how to run a business, organise his affairs, use email automation, or prioritise orders or recruit people to help him. He therefore seems to just ignore orders but keep the cash.

The units take 3 months ,They are handmade to a high standard but i would NOT recommend buying due to the high possibility of never receiving ...
In February 2019 I Sent some emails enquiring about delivery date with No response from I-Cube ? A bit worrying...

I have ordered from ICube in the past and everything service, product was great. Placed another order towards the end of 2018, since then have emailed and tried calling numerous times, no response with either method. Can only assume they are out of business and still have my money!!!
