I sent my laptop for a fix under warranty dur to intermittent crashing and wifi/bluetooth conncetion problems after just two months from purchasing. Huawei invoiced me for a screen replacement even though the screen had been working fine.
When I told them this was nothing to do with the issue I had been having and showed them photos taken after I made the request they said my photos were not taken within a close enough time period to sending the device, despite the fact they never outlined the maximum time period.
Now they are expecting me to pay for the screen repair depsite not even diagnosing the original issue, which I have no fait hthey will fix under warranty either.
On top of this their customer service was so torturous and long winded, having to send about 15 emails before being allowed to speak to someone on the phone to complain (a call I am still waiting for).
Avoid Huawei like the plague.

Don’t buy Huawei mobile phones. This company is a scam. The Huawei phones are very sensitive. As per technician of Huawei Service center SM Southmall Las Pinas Philippines. All Huawei phones did not pass through the drop test. Thats why it is very sensitive. I purchase the phone in March 2019. After a month i didnt notice that there is small scratch in upper left corner of the phone. Then two weeks ago (last week of august). Suddenly. The phone shut off on its own. I thought it was just lowbattery so i charge. I noticed there is no charging indicator showed and the phone still totally black out. I went to SM Southmall Huawei Center and they said. They willno cover the warranty bcoz of that small scratch. They call it physical damage. I find it irresonable! I want Huawei phones to be investigated because i think this company is a scam.

When you’re Huawei flagship device ceases function – as they often tend to, very early after purchase (presumably due to their design or minimal quality controls) – Huawei will not repair the phone as promised in their warranty policy. They will claim any sign of use, e.g. negligible daily use scratches anywhere on the phone, to be an indication of physical damage that nullifies their warranty and exempts them from repair. Rather than repair the phone, they will (after some significant period of time) mail you a quote for the repairs, with a breakdown of parts, labour, and a warranty sticker because “you physically damaged the phone”. Complaint or protest is futile and the process can take months: you may go several weeks without response to your inquiries about repairs and worst of all even longer phoneless.
Huawei’s phone are great until they have a problem (which they often do) and then you actually realise the difference between Huawei and the world class established mobile phone companies (e.g. Samsung, Google, Apple) you chose Huawei over. It’s the customer service and post-purchase customer experience (or Huawei’s lack thereof).
I strongly recommend you don’t make the mistake of trusting Huawei as your phone manufacturer just yet – no matter how flashy their phones look – because once they stop working they are not only useless, but are the cause of a lengthy painful ordeal experiencing some of the worst, dishonourable customer service you will ever encounter.
TIPS IF YOU'VE ALREADY MADE THE MISTAKE and are currently happy and scoffing at this review like I would have been, be careful placing the phone in your pocket with your keys, gently setting it down on your desk when you arrive at the office, or generally using the phone, preferably keep it in the box, because when it just stops working, which it will, Huawei will inform you that you nullified your warranty.
Whether you damaged the phone is at Huawei's discretion, so obviously they use that to never pay for the “free repairs” their warranty promises, and attempt to shift the cost to you; claiming there is physical damage. A claim you cannot argue as they are the judge and jury.
Buy quality insurance too, and when your insurance company raises up the lack of damage as a reason your repair should be covered by your Manufacturer and not them, inform them you already explored that avenue and forward them the evidence.
This exact situation has happened to me, a close friend (who I sadly recommended the phone to soon after it arrived), and a work colleague.

Huawei P20 Pro is not IP67.
the warranty is not valide if phone is exposed to water.
Whitin warranty time!
IP6X: This rating is much like IP5X with the exception that the item is completely sealed off from dust. There can be no ingress of dust at all.
IPX7: This rating goes further and indicates protection from temporary immersion in liquids. The rating is given after immersing an item in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes with no harmful effects.

Bought the huawei p30 pro as it was supposed to come with a free watch.
Went through all the guff to get mine nearly 2 months ago.. My claim was validated.. Nothing since.. Phoned them.. No help. Was told there were waiting for watches.
E mailed them 3 days ago saying I see they are still selling the same watch..
No shortage to sell, but none to honour their agreement to customers who went with the deal.
Got the same old "sorry for the delay.. Blah blah blah.. "
I WILL NEVER BUY HUAWEI AGAIN.

That company is pure scam. I bought a phone from them (mate20 pro for about £800), and since i bought it i noticed that it had a green screen issue (it was very common for that series if you look it up). I called customer service and they told me to send the phone to them and i will have it replaced, only to realize that it was instead repaired.
After a few months, during a software update the phone got stuck, and again i sent it to them. After a few days i was sent a letter form the service company asking for £1200 to repair it. I freaked out because the phone is still under warranty, and they told me that the warranty is void due to a very small scratch on the right bottom end (barely visible).
It's been two months already and i still cant get any response from them. I call them on the phone and they constantly refuse to give me their supervisor to talk to. They are the biggest scam company i have dealt with. Just avoid their products at all cost.

Bought a p30 pro on the strength of the free watch offer. Went through all their hoops and was advised my claim was successful and I would get my watch in 30 days. After 30 days, nothing. Contacted them again and they said it would be coming as soon as possible. 20 more days have passed. Nothing. No reply to my e mails. No watch. Really upset if this is a very expensive con.

Im not happy, i was promised a promotional offer of a GT smart watch when i bought my Huwaei P30 Pro, i have waited the allotted time and its been nearly an extra 2 weeks after and tgey still cant give me a date that its being sent out. I managed to speak to a senior member of staff and she said it was escalated, i gave her 2 days to find out, but due to high demand she couldnt find out when it will be sent out. In other words its gonna be a long time and bear in mind its a watch that goes with huawei phone, what happens when im not using my phone anymore. Allotted waiting time was 30 days. This is so out of order. Will never buy from this company ever again.

Referring to P20 Pro - I've never seen a cellphone so bad my whole life. I've had this phone for SIX MONTHS and the only good thing about it is the camera. Since the first month, the headphone jack doesn't work properly - it will stop working if there is ANY movement on the cable, so you can only use the headphone if you are holding the phone on your hand all the time. It also not always works, sometimes I will plug the headphone but the sound doesn't transfer and it will release the sound through the phone.
Today, the phone decided to completely give up - the speaker stopped working, tried calling people and I couldn't hear anything, resetting didn't work, the button to see what programs are open is not working anymore... WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Bought a P30 pro with watch promotion submitted my claim for the watch as per contract received confirmation claim was valid and received a promise for it to arrive within 30 days, 28 days later received notification that watch would be delayed by an unspecified period I entered into email ping pong but still no commitment and eventually told Huawei not to send the watch and also as they have broken their promise provide a refund and I will go back to Samsung IPhone. When I asked for the refund I received no response to my emails so I went to Carphone warehouse who as I expected could do nothing for me.
I see the other reviews and sympathise what a shoddy company compared to Samsung who have always dealt with issues in a sympathetic and professional manner. One way or another I will ditch the P30 Pro and will never deal with Huawei again, expensive lesson learnt!!.

I own a Huawei P 10 plus in Sri Lanka. I'm really happy with the functions of the phone. I use the Huawei Health App on daily basis. Nevertheless, recently my Health App got updated. Since then the measuring of distance is totally messed up and bluntly inaccurate. While measuring of time is good in the updated version, distance measuring is in a complete mess. Please address this issue. Thanks

This phone was bad before it downloaded an update now its worse. Constantly tries to update huawei add ons even when they are of no use and have not been given permission. It downloads without permissions several times. It freezes and jumps through different options even if I have not selected them. says its offline even when connected by wifi/mobile data. Steer clear of any huawei products!!
