Pathetic experience booking with them, that too for a corporate stay.
A hotel which apparently was refundable turns out has a deadline for refund policy which was not stated anywhere while booking!
I had to make several calls to them to modify my reservation but they were not helpful at all. Everytime I called, I was told they are waiting to hear from the hotel. Terrible Terrible experience.
Stay away and never book through them!!!

Awful service. They sent me an e-mail saying that my card was not valid (fact: it was and still is) and that I needed to get back to them within 48 hours not to lose my reservation. I did get back to them, they never replied until 48h after their first email, to tell me that my reservation was cancelled because I never got back to them (!!!!). And the only way to reach them other than the e-mail which they obviously flatly ignore is via phone - of course a paid service. I will never ever book a hotel through them again in my life.
I can't even make a new one because the hotel has no availability anymore, so one day before my arrival I have to look for another place to stay.

We booked a hotel room for 4. 2 adults and 2 children. We wrote age of a children and a room was for 4. Whan we arrived at the hotel, the recepcionist told us that we have a double room and need to pay extra for two beds. We wrote that to HRS but never got ansvered. So we are finished with that cheaters.

TRAGIC EXPERIENCE!!! Cause overbooking our hotel send us into a hovel. After many complaints Hrs offered us a refund. Unfortunately never paid! Italian call center useless. Sure they come from Germany?

Never received a proposal for a compensation of 15%!!! Firstely 10% and 30% at least+parking fee!!!
You offered me a parking fee? I never write I have paid for it! You invent situation! I just had to leave the car outdoor parking when I reserved and paid for indoor box.
You ask an invoce from Hotel? I recived credit card charge by remote from hotel in overbooking! I didn't go to check out to them!
You didn't replay to my mails from 12 September!!! Do you want to solve the problem? Why don't you ask to your faboulous italian contact center to call me?
For me is ok have back just 30%!

I use www.123ezytravel dot com for booking my travel which gives numerous hotel providers to compare, but I've found HRS comes up with the cheapest price for hotels but once I click to view the offer the currency changes from Australian dollars to Euro's and is a much higher rate than the listed price. This is very misleading. Every search I've tried has had the same result. I will not use HRS again.

I have used the HRS portal and its predecessor for tours in Europe since 1998 and am a very satisfied customer. It can usually find a hotel that meets my requirements at an acceptable price and the odd very few problems have been resolved efficiently and quickly. The website provides all the information I require and searching and booking are quick and easy. Some of my favourite hotels are not listed but otherwise it is my first choice to find new lodging places.

I was trying to book a room at The Watergate Hotel in D.C. for last tuesday and only 2 days in advance. Nobody seemed to have anything available, not Expedia, not Orbitz, not Hotels.com, not even the hotel. It looked like mission impossible. I do not know how HRS crossed my search.
I was super lucky. I was able to book the room and the price was half of what others were charging. HRS you saved the day big time.
Thanks so much HRS. Looking forward for more hotel bookings.

HRS computer did not interact with hotel - had to speak to Customer Service - John - who spoke with Maya in Reservations - before reservation was found.
HRS might reconsider this hotel in the future - none of the services were available - no pool, gym, game room, cafeteria (no food available) no parking spaces (had to park illegally). No power due to hurricane - no fridge (was off for 2 of the 3 days). Floors were slippery and wet due to water seeping under doors - waited 2 hours in reservation line - and 2 hours for buffet - and then turned away due to "no food".
Requested refund and was only offered a $50 discount for all three days.

I made a booking at Hotel Villa Opéra Drouot thro' HRS for Jun 21st check in. The room offered had no air conditioning and the response from the desk was very close to being rude. Definitely will not recommend this property.

Often need to go through the booking process twice as the first attempt does not result in a successful booking.
Inputting the Billing address can be problematic (refusing to able input), and often is not share/supplied to the Hotel so it make it rather pointless to ask in the first place.

we booked a hotel in Paris via your website, the reservation number is 188638236, but when the guest check-in, hotel told him that they didn't receive the booking !
Finally the guest have to pay a higher rate to get the room - total EUR348 !
This is unacceptable we will launch the complaint and request for claim back !
