I ordered a section of wallpaper for a craft project. They sent it with stickers all over back so it wasn't usable. I simply ask for them to resend without stickers. They refused and also refused return.

Ordered two lamps. The they came, the color was significantly different from the online photo. The return cost over $100. I'm new to this but will stick to the vendors who are more generous on their return philosophy, especially when the product was not as described.

Condescending customer service via messages. Can't reach by telephone. If you get lucky and your order is correct you will be lucky. If it's not you're out of luck.

We have had a Houzz Pro account for about 2 years. I just started managing the account in July 2019 and we got a new account manager with houzz at that time Mark Baria! At the beginning I was in contact with Mark and requested information about our billing so that I can keep track of our marketing budget. In that email he included our contract, but never went over the account with me in detail. Which I feel he should have done knowing that I was a new manager here. He also mentioned that he would be in contact with me within 6-8 weeks and update our account with photos. He never contacted me unless I reached out first and there was always a long delay to hear back from him. Our profile page was not updated with information and photos as promised until just recently when I expressed concerns about canceling our account.
I have been keeping track of all our sales and haven't seen very many results with Houzz. So I contacted Mark on October 1, 2019 because I wanted to discuss our account about canceling. At this time he never once mentioned our contract that we had a deadline to cancel and that our account would be renewed. Instead he deceivingly hid that information from me and offered to expand our geographical reach to customers.
After about a month of this we still have not seen any result. So I emailed him again around October 28,2019 to cancel our account. It just wasn't working for us as a small business.
Again he NEVER mentions the contract and that it was already too late to cancel. He just says lets set up a meeting to discuss further.
Finally we speak today Novermber 5, 2019 and he again tries to convince me about the the account and what it has to offer but after his Speech I still wanted to CANCEL So then he finally says, " well actually it's in the contract that you had to cancel on October 8, 2019 and you're locked into a contract for another year of paying $580/month." RIDICULOUS!!!!

I'm a contractor working with (actually trying to work with) houzz.com pro services. Worst experience ever. They lock you in for another year with a twisted so-called contract, and charge you without consent. Don't go pro with houzz.com. Not worth it. Really. Go spend that money on SEO.

Save your time and patience. I was sketchily being sold the ProService marketing package for Houzz. I was told I could hold the introductory price with a credit card without being charged until I conducted my own research. I was charged two weeks later without consent and it's been nearly a month and they have not refunded me, even though I had been told it would be done immediately. I was also told that I signed contracts, which none have yet to be sent to me.
The level of ethics in this company is so low, its beyond me. Be careful if you are considering working with them. After reviewing the potential contract that I could have signed, there is a lot of sketchy clauses. Beware.

So. Let me start this review off by saying, if you're an interior designer, designer, architect, GC, or an importer/reseller of finished goods, an investment in Houzz Pro may make sense for you and your business. For anyone and everyone else, avoid it.
My experience with Houzz is the following. I ordered houzz on a Thursday afternoon with a contract that was not expected to start until the following Monday. On Monday morning, 10AM EST, 7AM PST (where they are headquartered) before my subscription began, I e-mailed to ask them to cancel my subscription before it started. At no point was my desire to cancel taken seriously. I was told repeatedly that I had signed a contract for a year. When I attempted to escalate the matter via e-mail, to show verifiable proof of the unethical and nonsensical answers I was getting, I was told to contact my sales rep. The same person who never took the requests to cancel seriously.
Figuring that I had already paid for the month, at this point, mid week, I went ahead and scheduled the "consultation" with their account manager. I have no gripes with the account manager. Simply put, Houzz is not a good fit for the majority of small business owners and craftspeople out there. They confirmed as much. Houzz will tell you time and time again that its part of a larger branding strategy, and it is. The unpaid houzz.com profile is worth your time to create. Getting reviews is with your time. Taking the time to create a professional profile on Houzz.com is worth it. Paying for Houzz Pro, is not worth it.
Over the past few months, I have been given a series of leads. And you might say, "well thats good, theyre, getting you leads" . . . . what they dont tell you and what they dont describe well . . . is how exactly those leads are created. Yes, some come directly to your profile. However, for bulk of the leads I have received were all created by a homeowner or consultant submitting a generic request form and it spams that out to all people who roughly meet that criteria . . . I do high end metal and wood working . . . I've been given a half dozen requests for upholstery work, a marble fabrication project, and basic cabinet work. When I've spoken to the initiators of the request, they all confirmed they had never seen my profile or heard of my business prior to me contacting them.
I think Houzz is a useful site for the right business. Mine is not the right business. Adding to that, their reluctance to properly and, I would argue, ethically, deal with people with legitimate grievances or to partially cancel or refund a subscription (which by the way, I even offered to pay for the first months use if theyd agree to stop billing me, they of course said that wasnt possible.)
What I can tell you and anyone else who reads this is, if they wont let you cancel . . . and you've tried everything you can to talk to someone in leadership . . . remember your credit card has an expiration date, remember credit cards can get lost and stolen all the time, remember your credit card company has a dispute line. They have a lot more power than you do. You can call them and file a complaint and allow them to resolve it. You can challenge the charges, even with their contracts. And, if all else fails, keep writing these reviews so that no more small business owners are taken advantage of.
The money I am spending on houzz, could be better spent on proven marketing outlets, thats my consensus.

My order was delayed a week and they shipped me the wrong item. Will NEVER order from Houzz again. Wayfair is MUCH better. Houzz is by far the WORST online home furniture store EVER.
Negative 100 stars.

This was my first and last time I have shopped from houzz. I have received just a ticket behind the door and the item was left in the street. Since I'm living in the second floor I asked for delivery behind the door. They didn't accept any responsibility. Also for the return don't trust their website because you supposed to pay half a price of your purchase. Never ever shop from hoizz.

Opened a case with a * for a malfunctioning ceiling fan and was told they'd get back to me within 24 hours. Well, 3 days goes by and still no response. I call back and they told me they didn't call was because I didn't send them videos of the fan malfunctioning, which I did five times already to *. Customer service is non-existent with this company...you're on hold forever, then no one has any answers and they transfer you, then that person says another person will contact you within 24 hours, which they clearly don't. In other words, this company's customer service is horrendous and I would advise you to stay away at all costs.

DO NOT BUY FROM HOUZZ.
I have purchased a BLUE bench but when arrived, the actual product had a color between a dark washed blue and a gray, nothing like the picture shown on the website. I had to return the item paying the freight even though was their fault on a misleading picture to sell a terrible color. BEWARE FROM HOUZZ

I purchased lamp shades from this site. I was not sure about the lamp shade size. I called and spoke to a sales representative who stated she was not an expert but she did understand lamp shades. I purchased on her advise. When received they were too short. So I was going to return them but them discovered I have to pay the return shipping. My first thought was I have to incur shipping rates on this return? I never bothered to look as NO ONE charges for returns any longer. Didn't that go away about 10 years ago?
I was about to buy two chairs and realized if they need to be retuned that will be expensive. I called and spoke to the CUSTOMER representative who could not have been more smug and condescending who kept repeating the corporate line that they are NOT anything more that a site for independent manufacturers to sell their product. They sound a bit like Amazon but they incur any cost or inconvenience to the customer. I have seen TV commercials and advertisements that tote them as close to online designers. The representative just said this is not a productive conversation and hung up on me! So going off the provided corporate script really challenges them! Further she would not let me speak with her upline to help them understand my situation. If you are going to charge people for return shipping you should have reliable employees ( perhaps designers) to help with decision making before hand. Her suggestion was I get a designer to buy a lamp shade! Offensive? you bet ! BTW she represents the HOUZZ corporate team for improving customer satisfaction! if you can believe that! Guess they don't buy into the customer is always right.
My point was If you will not take any responsibility for what you sell...than let us speak directly to the company they represent. I never write anything online but this experience was archaic and the representative could not have cared less if I bought another product or verbally smeared their review site...Buyer beware! Not only are you paying for return shipping...they are represented by rude robotic employees who don't care. This is a doomed business that will not in this current climate survive. If you ask a question off the corporate training manual they hang up on you!

I signed up as a professional contractor wanting to increase my leads and overall local exposure. While they promised quite a bit, I did not see the return I was hoping for.
In 6 months I received 5 calls and only 1 was a direct lead. The others were either an inquiry for services I did not offer or were directed to me from a designer.
I opted to discontinue my subscription early and pay the fees ( cut my losses and chalk it up to a lesson learned). I was due to complete my payoff 2 months prior to my annual renewal. And despite my numerous emails to clarify that my payments were being counted toward my early pay off, the payments were never stopped. I was over charged $400 bucks which is a small thing to a large company. You would think that sending emails with screen shots of emails proving my point would help, right...? Nope!
I was given the excuse that management didn't see things my way! So I asked to speak with management about the matter giving all possible ways of contact. Hear I am 8 days later without a response of any kind response.. !
I am sure that my experience is not the case for all contractors but it is a sad thing to just be ignored.
Never shall I use such as service to with such poor customer service.

Very unhappy with this company. I was told it would cost one price to start and when my profile was up the price went up. Was told they screen all leads to make sure they are real. That is all lies. I will be having my attorney get involved in this. Tired of people trying to rip off others. What a joke.

I ordered 2 adirondack chairs through houzz and 1 arrived very damaged. It has been over 5 days and despite several requests they still have not sent a return label or confirmed that i can dispose of the damaged product. I made very clear to them that having a huge box in my front hallway was a great inconvenience. And i still have not received the replacement chair.

Horrible company. They lied about the delivery date. I was told that it would arrive last Thursday and then they changed it one week later to the following Thursday. When the order finally arrived miraculously on the Tuesday, only one barn door hinge was delivered not the two (2) I ordered!!! How incompetent can they possibly be?

Made my first purchase for a chandelier from Houzz and received the delivery in about a month.
Customer service from Houzz isn't bad. The issue was with the vendor who didn't have the item in stock or ready to ship.

UPDATE from my last post: It's now September 3rd and I have taken morning day off of work to be home for delivery window. The company shows up with a chair, not my dresser. No one knows why they brought me this chair, even though my name isn't on the delivery.
The Houzz woman who gave me her number isn't answering and the number she provided doesn't even go through. It's more than 1 month after I ordered the dresser with a 2-week max delivery time window.
I have never in my life dealt with such an incompetent company and a terrible customer service experience. No one use Houzz - I'd go as far as to say they are a total SCAM. No one cares what their customers think of their company, and they take ZERO stock in if the products actually make it to you.

Ivory was the CSR who assisted me with a fairly complicated order for dining room chairs. I needed to have a delayed delivery date, and 2 separate charges for the chairs. She facilitated the later delivery for the entire purchase and all the charges went through like butter!! I can't wait to see these chairs (American Upholstered Arm Chair and Tall Regency Dining Chair). In addition, I had found these chairs on-line but I was not familiar with the vendor. However, when I found them on Houzz, I didn't hesitate to buy them! But the best thing was, it was clear Ivory was experienced with her work. She knew exactly what to do, followed up with me, and made sure everything was perfect. So refreshing! Keep up the good work Ivory (and Houzz)!!

WORST COMPANY EVER
I ordered an expensive dresser on August 1. It's now August 21 and it still says order processing and NO ONE has written back to me or followed up with me. I've called 10-15 times, sent countless emails, and I can't get in touch with anyone. I even took to LinkedIn to message employees.
Houzz, PLEASE get back to me or refund me. This is absolutely the WORST customer experience I've ever seen in my life and an disgrace of a company.

I am updating that someone from customer service contacted me and refunded my order fully right away after I refused shipment and reviewed them on this site. So I like them better now. They said that shipping the doors was a mistake and I can't really fault someone for a mistake. They happen and as long as they are made right, it's ok with me.

when you are searching for a particular product they come up on Google as if they have the product but when you click on their tab it takes you into their website but as you can see they don't actually have your product they just wanted you to go into their website to buy! It's a scamming way to Market their website!
