BY FAR the worst experience I've ever had booking a hotel on any platform. I booked the room Friday at 3pm. Hotels 2nite immediately withdrew my money. When I went to check into room the next day, Saturday night at 9:30pm, the hotel informed me there was no room available for me, and that hotels 2nite sold me a room that didn't even exist! Mind you, hotels 2nite had over 30 hours to contact me and let me know they sold me a room that didn't exist. I didn't find out I had no room until I showed up to the hotel with my girlfriend on her birthday. Needless to say I was completely embarrassed. This is after we paid the $49 valet service the hotel offered... After spending an hour and 15 minutes on the phone with customer service, hotels 2nite had the nerve to suggest that I travel 10 miles south to a different city to check into another hotel if I wanted the same rate that I originally paid. It's close to 11:30pm at this point. After pleading my case again, hotels 2nite booked a room for me and my girl half a mile down the street. Given the price difference, they offered me a $40 credit, which I immediately had to use on the last minute hotel they found for me. The irony is, I'm using the $40 credit b/c of their initial mishap! So disrespectful... By the time we gathered our things, moved our car, checked in again, parked, and brought our things up to the room, it was 12:30am!!! All my girl and I did was fight all night over the entire ordeal, and her bday was ruined. We barely got any sleep, and before you know it we were checking out by 11am... I WILL NEVER use hotels 2nite again, and for the rest of my life will tell everyone I know never to use their services via what they put me thru. After contacting customer service again, and arguing with 3 different people, a manager offered me a measly $20 credit for the app selling me a room THAT DIDN'T EXIST!!! This company is unprofessional and flat out crooks! Couldn't even do the humane thing and refund me my money. That's all I wanted was a refund. But they'd rather keep that couple hundred bucks vs. be kind to a customer they blatantly screwed over. It's greedy people/companies like this that make the world a horrible place. Never again hotels 2nite. #CROOKS

This site is a bunch of con artists. I booked a room with them when I arrived at the hotel they told me there was a mistake with booking all the rooms were booked. The man at the desk told me dont worry he will take care of the charge on my bank card for booking the room. My card was charged $203 the next few days I called hotel tonight app about the reversal of the room charge that I never stayed at because they said a room wasn't available. I definitely dont recommend this hotel app.

Wish there was an option for zero stars... Hoteltonight is the absolute worst! We booked a hotel room on the long weekend through their website, and when we showed up, the hotel had no rooms available and didn't even know about our booking. We had to scramble for a place to stay with our baby, and found a dingy motel nearby last minute to avoid sleeping in our car. Not worth using them in any way, dealing with their customer service has been an absolute nightmare. They offered a credit on my hoteltonight account instead of a refund! It's amazing that customer service that is this bad can still exist this day in age, I had to call numerous times just to get ahold of anyone in order to get my money refunded. NEVER USE HOTELTONIGHT, YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Please do not book through HotelTonight to save yourself from hours of stress. Like the other reviews say, they do not actually make a reservation for you at the hotel. It is up to the hotel to know how to make a reservation for you with the confirmation code sent from HotelTonight, but this is risky because if you run into a situation where a hotel is not familiar with HT, you will not get your reservation. Also, some reviews say that this is the "perfect last minute booking" app. DO NOT book last minute, the hotel will probably have nothing in their systems about your reservation. We booked our hotel at about 9:00 pm, and we landed in Calgary at 12:00 am and expected to be checked into the hotel smoothly. We got to the hotel and they did not have a reservation for us. Unfortunately by the time we got any questions answered it was 2:30 in the morning because we had to call HT, who then called the hotel, who then told us that our reservation was completely cancelled and we had no where to stay because of this. This process took about 2 hours, in the middle of the night. Beware of saving a few dollars with this app, it may leave you stranded with nowhere to sleep and pay double what you expected to because you might have to book at a random nearby hotel if your reservation falls through (and it probably will)

A scammer is currently using my credit card at a hotel and Hotel Tonight has “investigated” and decided to keep my money since they already have it. I’m fighting back their bullying with negative reviews. Beware of giving your credit card to these crooks.

So I made a booking for a hotel and received the confirmation email which was fine. I then receive another email talking about how they need to take a small amount out of my account in order to verify that it is my account and that it’s secure. So I agree and £0.34 is taken out which I thought was fine, all be it a bit unusual. I receive another email asking me to confirm the amount and I do, but then I’m just sent the same email or a blank one over and over again. I decide to ring customer service and the man I spoke to was very nice, however he told me that my account had been disabled and went on to tell me what I already knew about the verification process. I explained that that had already happened and that I was trying to verify but the emails were extremely confusing and I wasn’t sure if I even had a booking. He went on to say that they couldn’t confirm the booking because my account wasn’t verified so I was put on hold twice and on the second time I started to read reviews and became very anxious that I might be in the process of being scammed. I decided to cancel the entire thing because I felt it was very dodgy and because of all these reviews! Thankfully the amount I was supposed to pay for the hotel would only have come out if I had stuck with it and confirmed everything. In the end, I rebooked with Expedia! Steer clear of them I’d say!

I used this service to book 1 night in Nantes, France. On my day of check-in Hotel Tonight emailed me saying that the hotel had an inventory issue and that my room was no longer available. They offered no solution to this, and as it was a last minute cancellation I was stuck having to pay for the only available hotel in the area which was twice as much as I paid for the hotel originally. They never responded to my emails either. Worst experience with any booking platform. How can a company get it so wrong??

Will never use again! Showed up at our hotel at 10 p.m.(as a single mom with a child) to groups of people partying outside the hotel and hanging off the balcony's. This was NOT the same hotel the advertised in the pictures, not even close!! It felt like a dangerous situation to myself and my 4 year old son and I had to find another hotel. When calling for a refund based on false advertising I was told I could get a credit but not a refund. WHAT WAS ADVERTISED WAS NOT WHAT WAS DELIVERED! Will never use this company again!

Sold me a room in a basement (-4) without windows and non-existent ventilation. Ended up looking for a hotel in the middle of the night after a long trip. Book directly with the hotels or booking.com etc and avoid hoteltonight at all costs.

If I could leave a zero rating I would.
I used this service for the first time flexible in New York on a business trip. This seemed cheaper then some of the other options, which wasn’t not the case. Upon checking out there were a bunch of undisclosed fees added to my stay.
I contacted customer support to get a refund the the agent interrupted me, was rude, & condescending. Awful service!
I will be posting all over the internet!
Don’t use this service

Has anyone else noticed that all those "good" reviews are from HotelTonight employees. Just put their names into Linkedin and you will quickly see who their employer is. Trustpilot you should have flagged those reviews based on the fact they are employed by HotelTonight trying to bring their 1 star review average up to 2 stars at best LOL.

I am not sure whether Hoteltonight are incompetent, fraudulent or both. They sold me a room at 7pm when the hotel had been fully booked for 12 hours and then blamed the hotel. They did not give a refund but offered to credit my (non-existent) Hoteltonight account. They promised to call me back and did not, they promised to email back and did not.... you get the picture.

Their mapping system had an incorrect address listed.
I drove there and it was someone's house. I called the hotel and they said they had nothing in their system for me, and they were 4 hours away.
They said the owner lived in the area where the Hotel Tonight App took me.
I contacted Hotel Tonight many times, and they stopped responded and NEVER REFUNDED for the resort.

Hotel Tonight can't even do the most simple ask of a consumer and supply a receipt for the amount spent. I modified my booking to check out two days early and they tell me it is impossible to supply a receipt for the actual dates I stayed and the actual amount I spent. A company that cannot support this very basic requirement from customers is not worth doing business with. Save yourself the headache!

Don’t use this App. Most recently I booked a room and they billed me 3 times?? And won’t return the money. I am a frequent traveler. This is not the only time something like this has happened with them and I rarely would use app. You have been warned

I will NEVER make a booking through this company again. They are very dishonest. They had photos of a hotel my husband and I booked that was false advertisement. The room we rented did not look like the photos and we were so disappointed, especially since the hotel was close to $300 a night. We didn’t want to stay at the hotel, but after an hour and half trying to obtain a refund, we were offered a $25 credit with no promise of any other refund. Save yourself potential problems and do not use this website!

Horrible app, customer service not only helpful but also has an attitude. App glitches and freezes all the time. They charge your credit card then disable your account, then won't help you reactivate it. Basically a fraud company that lures you in with fake discounts, steals your money, then blocks you out.

Please avoid this app. We booked a hotel via them, but the hotel they couldn’t find us on the system. We waited an hour and still we weren’t on the system. So we decided to request a cancellation from HT and leave to go elsewhere thinking that the cancellation would be sorted as we couldn’t access our room. After 2 hours the staff at HT decided to call up the hotel and reserve us a room for us instead of cancelling like we asked- at this point we were not even near the hotel. We even had confirmation from the hotel manager saying this was true, that the hotel reservation was not made until 2 hours after we had booked via the app. Now they are refusing to refund us. Definitely con artists who will do anything to just secure your money. What’s the point of booking through them if you can’t even access the hotel room you’ve paid for? Never using this app again.

Basically stole my money!
I have used HotelTonight twice, first time everything went smoothly. Second time I had to log in to proceed with the reservation, every time they sent you a link by email to be able to proceed with the log in. Logged in the price was reconfirmed and every time was going up, few times down, but always higher than the original price seen without labeling logged in.
Downloaded the app, here, instead of reconfirming the price, as before, went directly confirming the hotel reservation, using the PayPal details from my first reservation. This is misleading, on any other website you have to give your payment details, reconfirm you agree to be charged that amount. I was under the impression they will refresh their prices again and confirm availability, just like it happened previously. I was not aware they stored my PayPal details and already had them on my newly downloaded app, I did not give my approval to charge PayPal for that particular reservation. I have managed to block the PayPal transaction, before confirmation, within seconds, it is still in dispute and I am willing to bring them to court. This is not right!

this app does nothing for the consumer just wants their commission.
Absolutely a waste to talk to customer service and the representatives.
