I booked one hotel with them, and got a blank email 3 months later saying I was being charged $49. I had to call my bank to even figure out who had charged me. No name, email, or contact on the email they sent me. YUCK! Have some decency if you're in a customer service industry!

Went through Trivago and got to hitleposer.com. Booked a hotel in NYC on 1/5/2019. Our plans changed and on the same day I tired to cancel and their system would not allow it. As their call center was closed I immediately sent an email. They did not return my email or call after multiple requests. I did contact their call center and they refused to cancel my reservation. And indicated I had to do this on their website... which still said not able to cancel due to error.!!
I called the hotel directly. They did have my reservation and said there was no problem canceling as long as it was done within 2 days of arrival ( March 22 is still far away). I sent another email to the company stating this. Further I stated I would contact my bank, the Better business bureau, and travel sites with reviews. Amazingly in received a call from a very nice guy, Milan, who really took initiative to resolve this situation. He did contact the hotel and I did get an email stating that I would receive a full refund within 5 - 10 business days. That is pending as of this review.
So the bottom line, they did have the best rate and my reservation was confirmed and correct with the hotel. And, the communication and customer service fell painfully below my minimum expectations.

Book a room, received confirmation from HotelPower.com, called the hotel to confirm and no record of the reservation. Come to find out the hotel has been sold out for months. HotelPower.com charges my credit card twice (pending charges) and they send me an email stating they gave me a full refund but they only refunded one of the charges and the other posted. This company should not be allowed to do business and if I ever run into the owner I will throat punch him/her!!

They called me and wanted me to send them a copy of my credit card and ID even though my card had already been charged. Said my reservation would be cancelled if I didn't and then hung up on me when I questioned them. Called the hotel we reserved they said they were over booked and couldn't honor the reservation, Called Hotel Power back and asked to speak to someone in the USA since their address is in Florida and was told if I was going to be like that they couldn't help me and my reservation was cancelled.

DO NOT book through this company! Received a confirmation email and found out the hotel did not confirm or even know about us. Got a call from these scumbags a day before the trip saying they were trying to "figure it out". I see a lot of complaints and will be filing a suit. If any interest, we can file a class action.

I booked with Hotel Power because they had the best price on The Downtown Grand in Las Vegas. It was so low, I thought it might be a scam, and after reading other reviewers, I called the hotel to confirm. The two rooms I booked were reserved, just as I had purchased them. Great price, great hotel and a very good experience. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Booked a room in Vegas and tried to cancel a week before. Was told the cancellation fee was the total amount of the booking. I called the hotel and they had no problem, their booking policy was 72 hours but it was beyond their control. Called Hotel Power back the second time and another nasty woman, that could barely speak English, on a staticky line said that their policy was no cancellation at this point. I said I would never use them again she said she didn't care. I only used them because they recharged the card the $49.00 membership fee because I didn't cancel in time. Place is a scam!

Less than 1 if i could. Called about changing a reservation, when it wasnt what i wanter told the agent to just leave it as is was. A few minutes later she called me to tell me it had been cancelled and my money refunded. I did not tell her to cancel! Then she called back trying to sell me the same reservation for 45$ more each night. I told her she messed up and needed to fix this. I want the same rate i had. She told me she'd call me back and never did. Now Im scrambling to find a hotel for a vacation already planned near disneyworld next week!

I made a reservation online on 11/17/18. I did not receive a confirmation email for two hours so I went to the website to check if it went through. The website showed that I had NOT made a reservation, so I went to my bank statements and of course, they had instantly charged me $270. I tried canceling over the phone but the automated message told me to look for my reservation online (which did not exist) so I had to go out of my way to communicate with a real person.
I very clearly told this guy that I wanted to cancel my reservation because they had charged me $270 and I never received a confirmation number, which to me screams SCAM. He was rude and unprofessional and took forever to try and find my reservation. Finally he told me he found it and said he would take care of it. I canceled my reservation way ahead of time and I'm expecting a full refund.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE.

I'm glad I read the terms and conditions, this company did nothing to give me a discount, the price they gave was the normal price of the hotel. They wanted to charge me for an annual fee if I didn't call the 800 number, funnyvyou could use them to book a room but to cancel your stupid annual fee it had to be voice to voice with their foreign operators and you couldn't do anything online. So don't fall for their crooked ways of have their hands in your pockets don't use them or consider them at all!

Cancelled several days prior to the reservation due to the President of our Company changing his plans. Hotelpower.com kept the whole payment amount as a "penalty". Beware of this company. They are a total mess and not at all ethical.

If I could do 0 stars I would. I was charged for a room and when I got to the hotel they told me that the hotel was booked out for days and that they were trying to contact hotel power for over an hour. I called to get my refund started and they told me the charges were made through the hotel and not them but my statement shows hotel power charged me. I wouldn't recommend booking through this site ever. Worst experience I've ever had booking through a third party.

I booked a hotel room through Hotelpower and was confirmed for a room with two beds. When I got there, there was only a room with one bed, and no other options. Hotelpower couldn't find me another room and promised a refund. Now, a month later, NO REFUND and they claim they will only refund me if the hotel gives them the money back. Of course, the hotel has already denied it. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE that doesn't even respond to my inquiries. I'm out $400 and nowhere to go. THIS COMPANY IS NOT REPUTABLE.

I stayed in the City Place Hotel (formerly Crowne Plaza) in St. Louis in September. Paid in advance. My room had no air conditioning and when I complained, they brought a box fan to my room at 2:00 a.m. There was no wi fi and the restaurant was ciosed (supposedly for renovation, although there was no sign of any renovation going on). They charged $20 per night fore self-parking, even though their web site said it was included. Hotel Power did nothing when I complained to them, saying I needed photographic evidence. How do you take a photo of no aiir conditioning? I will NEVER use Hotel Power agiain!

Had to travel, booked through Hotelpower.com. Seemed fine, hotels existed and had my reservation.
If it was left at that it would have been fine and i would have used their service again.
Not anymore.
Now i'm a very upset past customer that just got charged $50 for a membership i didn't ask for. Why do you opt me in by default and if it's even possible to opt myself out, it wasn't clear. And i can't trust that it'll be more obvious in the future. Opting out and making it difficult to get out of is very unprofessional and is considered stealing.

I booked a 2-night girls weekend in October. When we arrived to check in we were told they were without service. First issue was the hotel staff at Plantation Resort in Williamsburg were horrible. Because we booked through Hotel Power they said there was nothing they could to refund our reservation. Mind you the power went out at midnight and they had ALL day to contact me about my reservation. I was told they were too busy, yet they stood around with smirks on their faces! They guy that was waiting on us asked the coworker to deal with us and she laughed and said no way! Next issue contact Hotel Power. Between waiting for someone to answer to being placed on hold with Kevin for while he "attempted to resolve the issue", I was on the phone for 3 hours. He said he was looking for another resort. I kid you not that I was on hold for over an hour!!!!! I think he just didn't want to deal with me because when my girlfriend called on another she phone and got through and cancelled our reservation. So, we finally cancel the reservation and booked a place through Hotel.com (which is where I should have booked to start with). Kathleen called me at 8:30pm to tell me the power was back on. REALLY???????? We got to the resort at 2pm. WTH did they think we were doing between 2-8:30pm?????? I was dumbfounded! I called her back first thing Saturday but of course they weren't open! I called first thing Monday, spoke to Kathleen again and she reassured me that I would get a refund. A week later and no refund so I called AGAIN today and was told they are waiting for the hotel to release the money and I need to call back in 4 hours to check the status. I have NEVER in my life received worse service!!!!! This is still to be continued but I hope I have prevented everyone that reads this to NOT USE HOTEL POWER!

I was on hotel tonight app trying to book a room in Las Vegas at the "MGM Grand Hotel" and as i book my room, I was re routed to "hotelpower.com and bonotel," and as I reserved my room, I was to check in on 9/2/18 check out on 9/6/18 so when I get to the hotel to check into my room, the hotel clerk checked for my reservation and not only did he find it, but he told me that my check in date shows I was to check into my room on on 9/5/18 and not 9/3/18, so I'm like WTF, so where is it that I am suppose to stay at? So hotel power screwed up my whole reservation, and when i called them bout my refund, they kept putting me on long holds and kept telling me that someone will call me back in the next few minutes, which was a lie, because as days went on and I kept calling, it was the same BS. Never book with these thieves, they reminds me of the fuggin IRS, they take yo money by ripping you off and there is nothing you can do about it.

"stay on the line for the next customer representative" except the line keeps hanging up on me. Of course I am trying to cancel the membership that they hide in the small print. Oh, and on their website? The calendar is wrong so you end up making a reservation for the incorrect night. It is in your best interest to stay away from this company. I wish I had.

I booked a hotel through hotelpower last week. The hotel never received the money and today after spending SEVEN days on the phone with hotel power, the hotel and all of the middlemen, I never did get this resolved! They messed up the reservation so the Fairfield had my rate higher and in the meantime I reserved a room through hotel booking because I had a feeling this wouldn't end well. So now, I have to pay for a different hotel and Hotel Power has my $1250. Completely UNACCEPTABLE way to treat your customers and I will never use Trivago, Hotel Power, Global Travel International or any of the combination that were involved in this booking. STAY AWAY!!!!! or lose your money.

Seemed like a normal hotel aggregate site, and was an option through Google, so I made a booking. Unlike pretty much every other hotel aggregate service, this one automatically has you OPT-IN to their 99$ per year premium service and forces you to call to cancel.
Yes, you can opt out at checkout. But it's horrible user experience to make people automatically opt in.
Further, I read the offer terms and conditions and it states:
"If at any point in time you choose to cancel you must call our Member Services Department at 1-800-224-6930 and you will be given a cancellation confirmation number. You agree that your membership will not be canceled until you receive such number."
However, the Member Services Department DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE CANCELLATION CONFIRMATION NUMBER when you call. They said they would email me "in 5 minutes".
One hour later, no email. So I call back again. And they say there is no way to email from their system. So I ask again for a cancellation confirmation number. And the person gives me one...
These people have no clue what they're doing. Stay far far away.
