In September 2019, I booked and made full payment for a hotel via TRAVELUP which is linked to HOTELBEDS.
TravelUp will take the money and assign it to HOTELBEDS to sort the hotel out for you.On the same day I emailed travelup to confirm my accommodation but did not get a reply, nevermind these things happen i said to myself- man was i in for a SHOCK!
Fast forward to the day of my departure to Malta October 2019, I arrived at my hotel called Cerviola Hotel Malta, there was a queue of guests scuffling with the Manager on duty, i wondered what the issue was.
The manager asked for my name and told me that my name was not on the list of guests to be checked in. He informed me that HOTELBEDS did not inform them of my arrival, they had no rooms and this was the issue with the same people who were queuing up.
It became apparent that HOTELBEDS had taken our money and not booked us into Cerviola Hotel.
The manager on duty called the Senior Manager, Alexio who showed us emails which were sent to HOTELBEDS informing them that there was no room for the guests on the list, my name was on the list. .
The email also stated that they needed to find accommodation for us before we arrived - no reply was received.
Apparently this issue has been ongoing since the start of September!
I arrived at the hotel i paid for Cerviola, Malta on Satuday 12midnight and was in the lobby till Sunday 4am with four other stranded guests.
The manager on duty Alexio, gave us food and drink and spent the whole night/morning on the phone trying to get us another accommodation VIA HOTELBEDS but they did not budge or help us. They kept giving him the runaround and lied that there was space at certain hotels for us!
In the end I called the company I booked my hotel via (TRAVELUP) and they put me up in a hotel for the duration of my stay.
The hotel manager Alexio, drove me to my hotel! Such an angel.
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK ANY HOTEL VIA HOTELBEDS.
They will leave you stranded!
They are rude- one of the phone operatives shouted and hung up on me.
They will lie and tell you they are looking for a hotel for you.
If they tell you they have found a hotel for you( ask for email confirmation before you head there, call the hotel yourself and confirm ) otherwise you will get to your new accommodation and be be told there is no room in your name
Always ensure you do not have to pay a dime!
Lesson Learnt: BOOK YOUR HOTEL DIRECTLY! Do not use this companies! Some of the other guests used booking.com and were in the same mess!

Boy I wish I’d seen this first. I booked and paid for the hotel. Arrived and found that they cancelled my booking via a pathetic email stating we hadn’t paid, which we did because you can’t book without paying. I checked directly with the Hotel to make sure it was booked, this was confirmed and they said it was paid for so I didn’t worry. Turned up yesterday to find it was cancelled by Hotelbeds and of course they have our money. How can they get away with this?

They should get less than a 1 star. Prepaid our rooms, they canceled the room without telling us and kept our money. $786, this company is a sham. The people that they partner with are criminal as well. I can't imagine why they enjoy ruining travel plans and leaving them to pay twice for their hotel. I want my money back!!!!!

What a load of losers, booking made online , never received a confirmation email. emailed them 5 times with no response. emailed hotel and they clarified booking was confirmed. want to cancel it and they still won't reply. hotel won't allow me to cancel it directly with them says it must be done via Hotelbeds.com . still no response from them.

The worst online booking system we had ever used in UAE. Especially the sales team. If you got stuck some where, they even wont pick the calls or address the issues. bedsonline.com which books through hotelsbeds.

For a business trip i made a booking through Love Holidays, supplier for Hotel Beds and after more than 8 hours spent on the phone and live chat with both companies, the hotel still did not receive the booking confirmation from them. They were passing the phone calls on hold and saying we will be contacted back. At the end of the day they said it was an error and they will provide us with an relocation, we waited for hours, a proposal that never came. In the end we had to cancel our entire trip that was for business not for vacation in the night we were supposed to leave. DO NOT TRUST IT'S A TOTAL SCAM

I work for a travel agency and was looking into LegoLand California theme park tickets. Two tickets had the exact same name but two different ticket prices. I started an online chat to find out what the difference between the two tickets are. The agent online did not know. They stated "For us to check the exact inclusions of the ticket, we can check it to the supplier directly once the reservation has been made." How do you have two tickets with the same name but two different prices for the same date and location with both ticket names and prices on the same screen but not know what they entail. I had as much information before the online chat as I did after. It seems like a poor run company. They did state that after I make the reservations I could cancel within 3 days after I received the information regarding the difference between the two tickets. I am worried that I won't get my information until after the cancellation date has expired. They do not instill a lot of confidence in their abilities.

We are in Turkey Antalya at the moment, Booked Semt Luna Beach Hotel, This hotel is filthy, i would not put a dog in here to stay. It says its AI,It is not, threre was no food availvable, we were given no towels to wash ourselfs Had to beg for them. Owners very rude, was not helpful at all. Made a booking through booking.com and direct me to hotel beds saying they processed the booking.
For personal reasons i needed to cancel the booking, called booking.com and advised i needed to cancel with hotelbeds as they processed it.
They said they were not able to do anything and hunged up the phone.
I still need to cancel the booking been trying to sort this out for the past 5 hours!!!!

I have the same story as below... Made a booking in January for my holding next week in Bali (16th October). I actually booked through the Hotel directly but HotelBeds manages the booking. Paid, got confirmation email with booking voucher. As I had booked and paid so early in January I decided to call our hotel today to confirm the booking. Low and Behold, Hotel beds cancelled my booking 3 days ago. No email to me nothing, just cancelled and have run away with our money! I have had to pay again to secure the room. The hotel was not helpful at all, meanwhile they are the ones who use Hotel Beds!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely furious.

booked my room online with this company took my money bpoking confirmed .arrived at hotel only to be told they should not have made the booking as hotel was fully booked and they knew this .luckily there was a last minute cancellation and we were able to get a room which we had to pay for again and told we had to seek our own refund from hotelbeds ourselves .have emailed them numerous times with no reply .very dissapointed to say the least .

It’s too easy to hide behind Amoma and cancel the bookings made under your name. The least you should do is check that a booking made in May was paid to your company

We book a hotel with this platform. They offer a hotel in Santorini as 4 stars with a rate of 350+dollars a night. Atlantis hotel. The hotel was overrated and overpriced. We had to leave the first nigh do to the condition on the hotel. Outdated, never been renovated since probably 30 years. Service was not for 30 years. The facilities were
Very bad. The location was good but not to charges what they offer.

I can´t remember if I have ever been in touch with a more incompetent company when it comes to service or reacting to customer emails.
I work for a travel agency and we booked a hotel through hotelbeds for our customers. It was confirmed at first. We then made a small amendment (changed nr of pax) and the booking disappeared from the bookings list. I simply don´t see the booking anymore so I cannot inform the client about the terms, neither can I pay the booking in time.
I called them 3 times already. Every time I had highly demotivated people on the phone who did not help me a bit, instead asked the same questions over and over again.
I also wrote an email to them to which I received an auto-response. That was a week ago. I followed up on that email a few days ago but as you can imagine, nothing happened.
If you can, do not use this company. In case something goes wrong you´ll be in deep s....

We just checked into a hotel in Trani, Italy to discover the hotel beds.com, the company we made the reservation with, cancelled our reservation and pocketed the money we prepaid. The site is a complete scam.

I gave my review a 1 only because 0 isn't an option. Booked pet friendly room, just got to hotel and was informed a pet friendly room wad not booked and that there were no rooms left. Tried to call Hotelbeds.com and got disconnected several times before getting through. Thanks Hotelbeds for being such scumbags

I am struggling to get in contact with anyone from Hotel beds. I thought I was booking a room from Southwest/Booking.com and when I never received any confirmation on my booking I called the hotel and they stated I have a reservation from Hotel Beds. I don't see how that happened. I am trying to call Hotel Beds as I don't know the rate or terms. I don't even understand how it was booked through them.
Its very frustrating as I cannot get in contact with them either.

Pretty bad start to our holiday when our transfer was no where to be found, instructions were followed and no one had our name written on a notice that we saw everyone else had. Tried contact numbers provided but did not go through to anyone. We were with another couple who had the same issue. Waited for over an hour and ended up finding alternative transport which incurred more cost. Not happy and quite frankly worried we won't be getting picked up for our journey home.

Went to book hotel stay with FourPoints Sheraton online, was unknowingly redirected to a 3rd party when i was trying to book direct from the Fourpoint site. This company lures you in by the "deal of the day at this low rate, including "free" Wifi and Breakfast. Proceed regular checkout, payment was made in full. However going through the checkout process a "Service Fee" of $85.05 for basically booking through this 3rd party site. No mention of any actual services rendered, except that you get to book through them for $85!
I tried to cancel immediately from the site (which i paid in full already) and indicated I would be charged the entire 301.00...By the way, the advertised "deal of the day" was $212.00. Ended up spending more time calling and spoke to a rude representative. Basically, he could only credit me 21.00$ for my "inconvenience."

Can’t get your contact number anywhere and it is absolutely frustrating as our hotel. Leonardo royal hotel haymarket in Edinburgh keeps on getting bookings when it should be closed. I don’t understand the problem with this. Guests are complaining to us, but it’s not our fault as yous keep making the mistakes

Avoid!!! Checked out after a week to find hotel beds, booked through Travel Republic, had not paid our hotel although we paid in full several months ago. Hotel wanted paying again before we were allowed to leave. Several phone calls to Travel Republic and Hotel Beds agreed to pay. Very stressful end to what had been a lovely holiday. Avoid at all costs. Should be banned from operating
