I'm extremely happy with Hostwinds services and doubt I will go anywhere else for my hosting needs. I first signed up with them because the price was extremely reasonable, and I had heard good things about their support. Support is fast, efficient, friendly and understandable even for technical twits like I am! Every time I feel it could not be better, they come up with yet another offer, either in prices or in services.

Recommend Hostwinds SSD hosting services to others. Their customer tech help (real-time, chat and ticket) is cool. They solve all my problems, my dumb questions, and my sometimes stupid requests. I had two major problems in the past, one PHP based, the other was HTML. Both problems were solved with a phone call each. Both errors were, my fault, but the support was great, never blamed me, they explained what happened, and how to prevent the errors from recurring. Thanks Hostwinds! Thanks, Hostwinds for having a really knowledgeable group of support staff 24/7. Now that I am in Rome, I really appreciate being able to reach someone despite the time difference. They assisted me in moving my installation to the top level instead of the subdirectory that I originally installed to. In the process of trying to fix this myself, I mucked up a few important files. And now everything is fixed!

So far, my experience with Hostwinds has been quite positive. Their support is tip-top. Although the response time is not as fast as my previous host, I have no complaint either. When my friend had problems setting up the domain name servers, the forums and support center were very helpful. Their control panels are easy to use and intuitive as well as their account and billing interface.

User interface. Typical control panel Cpanel is used which is user friendly and has Softaculos. Additionally they have Live Chat assistance. Everything is clear enough, no additional skills required to manage your account, web application and emails.
Support. Vital and sensible questions are responded via live chat or ticket system (I was forwarded to the ticket system by live chat operator 2 days ago). I had some PHP version related issues 2 days ago and started with live chat and t then they created ticket on behalf of me and after that in ticket (I assume another level of support) get the issue solved.
Price. Better than average host can provide. Monthly payments are most expensive, so better to pay for 3 months or 6 months in advance. Paypal, Skrill, Credit card and Bicoin payments are allowed. I used Bitcoin payment.
If your ideal web hosting provider model is: "time saving web hosting service", then it would be right provider to check.

I love hostwinds as everything works and is relatively easy to find. They also have a lot of guides that are easy to follow.
Once I got used to the website, everything was pretty much a couple clicks away. Now I have way too many websites hosted on their servers!

I am impressed by Hostwinds work. As for Network and Server Uptime, I have seen a lot of people here prefer to tell other about uptime. I do not use any monitoring tools, but I am sure that it is high. Never seen my site down. I'm not the most technological independent person, and of course as soon as I registered, I had questions. They explained me everything I needed to know. Very professional in approach and follow up. Perfect experience here!

The overall price to value ratio is hard to beat. Performance is excellent, twice as fast as the last host on both upload and download. Just ping their domain and compare with some others. Hostwinds shared hosting reliability has been very good. There have been a few occurrences of downtime, but they were brief (at least on our server) and support is usually quick to respond.

Hostwinds work 24/7 & have great uptime. They are easy to work with. Customer support is available 24/7 - this makes them preferable. Great host, pricing is average, but support is the best I have seen, goes out of their way to make sure everything is working just right for you. This service allows for easy setup of websites and emails, modifications, and monitoring through their control panel user page.

Host winds is the service I’m pleased with. I have got a few reasons to think so. Support with manner of communication on friendly level. If there was a situation when the person from live chat could not help solving the problem, I was immediately sent to another branch of technical support department with having appropriate ticket composed on behalf of mine. Well-prepared platform to start with the site based on the word press platform, auto upgrades, appropriate versions of PHP and MySql release a lot of extra time, providing a feasibility to be focused on the web site development rather then on problem solving technical support or maintenance.

My experience using host winds started in the middle of June 2019 when I decided to start testing my addons and plugins for Open eShop web script. It should be order #3465284246 linked to my account in their system for “Basic Web Hosting”.
The plan they offer sounds fantastic - Basic Web Hosting, but I don’t believe in unlimited hosting. Rather server processor load is limited there. Better to ask them of real limits if you about to host enormously greedy site on that single domain plan. I wish they limited space and traffic and added one more domain. One domain name per such package is not enough! So far I have enough space for testing and development - no extra limitation to me and my account was applied. But what will be tomorrow?
Monthly price decreases every time you chose longer billing term. I decided to pay then once every 6 months. I’m not sure if that ran process of manual verification (tct #06132019302-3916761), but I had to spend some time to pass it. Procedure was quite short and typical, having related checking’s with other service providers and payment systems. Not a big issue. Not sure how that could be corelated, but I’ve got cPanel account details I couldn’t use so that forced me to start tct #06132019630-3918129 and got new details and response from John Roland (Tier 2 Technical Support).
MySQL has been working good and managed to keep load of my crash tests for my developing addons. I like when database and web script are hosted on the same physical server which provides the best speed and enough for testing. But my next addon development is almost impossible on such type of account, VPS is needed - would be my next level.

Will not refund over 300 dollars for an account that is less than 24 hours old. I have to do a charge back if I want to see my money. Stay away. Can’t get a hold of billing over the phone, apparently they don’t have phones. Such crap.
