I could not be happier with HomeExchange. Our family with three children have completed four exchanges and are in the process of organizing our fifth. We love home exchange and don’t want to travel any other way. Also love the new app!

We have been with homeexchange for six years already and have done more then twenty exchanges so far. It's the best site for house swaps with the biggest database - you can nearly always find a house in your chosen destination. The client service is pretty good and everything works just perfectly. I have already recommended homeswapping and specifficaly this site to many of our friends - to both families and seniors - as we do appreciate this way of travelling and finding new friends in foreign countries.

An excellent way to find like-minded people to house swap with

Ux is not that great but the community is big enough to find a decent home exchange.

Wow! What a life changer. I sometimes feel like the billionaires that have houses everywhere. The world is at the tip of my fingers. Can't rave enough.
For professionals who can work from anywhere-- this is the life! I find myself writing prospectuses for investors on a balcony in Barcelona, negotiating a deal on the phone from Ireland. Sometimes not even sure where in the world am I.
The kids love it since there is usually everything for kids in the exchange house: toys, games, bikes, electronics, sometimes pool or a pool table.
We got to live in the center of towns, fancy neighborhoods or in the most rural of places imaginable.
We can now afford traveling for 6-8 weeks a summer, meeting people around the world while not wasting resources like an empty house and an idle car.

The best thing I have ever done is join Home Exchange. Not only is traveling to places that you want to explore. The friendships you make are priceless. Been Exchanging for 5 years now and would do nothing different.

I’m on two home exchange sites. However, this one seems to have the most opportunities for trading. The people are great, friendly & respond quickly.

The exchanges that we have had through Home Exchange have been positive experiences. This is a great resource for retirees enabling them to share the homes they have treasured through their lives and giving them a more low cost vacation experience.

Excellent in every respect but one — I keep having to log in again and again when I’m looking at the daily emails. Is it me? Perhaps I’m doing something wrong. I’m a newbie, just doing my first sit as we speak, with lovely couple and couldn’t be sweeter dogs and cats. As I’m not allowed pets in my N.Y. apt, this is a wonderful opportunity for me.

Passport Program is good idea but is confusing/complicated to use, and many exchangers that I have communicated with do not seem to be very aware of program.

Overall, home exchange is a fantastic service.

The web site REALLY NEEDS WORK. There nothing intuitive about. It’s a complete rewrite.

I have loved and used HE for 8 years. However I'm not as pleased with it as I used to be -- there is just too much information they want -- section after section, paragraph after paragraph -- and the website reminds you that you only have completed 84% information. I think if I added all the extra info no one would read it anyway. I think the more brief info is easier for most people -- everyone is very busy, and when we're arranging travel arrangements we want quick information to narrow down our searches. And digging into each listing to find all of the info is crazy. When I log on to my own listing and don't easily find all of the info I've written, so why go into that much detail. And when I want to change something on my listing, it can be difficult to find that area -- to change where I want to go, etc. And if you have requests (sent or received) from years ago, they stay on the system; maybe after two years they should be deleted. I know I can put them in the Archive, but I'd prefer just to get rid of them -- I like clean slates. The balloon system is confusing, although I understand the reason for it. Basically you are not really "exchanging", which was the original purpose of HE.
Generally I love the idea, and have loved ALL of our 10 exchanges! The other home owners are excellent and lots of fun to get to know, even if not in person.

Great company for home exchanges. Their listings give all the information needed to begin the process of setting up your exchange. They have online help ready if you need it! They offer great guidance in selecting your exchange partners! Highly recommend - we have done 6 exchanges so far with outstanding results! We look forward to many more wonderful experiences through this service!

Homeexchange.com is the best deal in town. I tell all my friends about it and some have even signed up. We have had many exchanges with never one bad experience. Australia, France, Hawaii to name a few. No accommodation cost. We love it.

We have had no problems so far

I have never been able to concrete any exchange so far. Just paying and paying from my subscription. Everyone keeps rejecting over and over.

I dislike the cooperation with Facebook, and also the introduction of balloons.

one bad experience was the person and photos we did an exchange with were not true and precise saying it was a penthouse with pool on the roof , it was no penthouse and the pool was public , that got us very angry
