Initially i found it efficient to place the order and get a survey scheduled, but as soon as i wanted to make changes it became very time consuming and inefficient. It took over a week for my survey to be rescheduled, and they picked up approximately 10% of my calls, the rest going to voicemail. Voicemails and emails were not responded to. I've finally had the survey done, and it's now over a week and i'm still waiting for the report. Another typically bad experience from an industry which has ZERO customer service standards.

Online surveys like this suffer from a total lack of communication! I never knew what was happening and when. The report was completed some days before I happened to go online to find it there! Where was the simple email telling me what was happening? I am not a mind-reader. I would not use this service again because I was not in the information loop and yet, I was the fee=payer. This service needs a prompt change if it is going to get good reviews!

A well laid out website that attracted me at first, however the communication was in my opinion poor. I had to chase the surveyor myself and coordinate aspects of the survey between the surveyor and the estate agent.
I felt that this was not a stress free service and in hindsight going direct to the surveyor may have been a better option.
Homebuyer online were helpful and did communicate, but were not as efficient as the website portrayed.

No need to elaborate on that..
Telephone message left on answerphone and email sent chasing. No contact made.
If you need a quick survey... well... buyer beware

When I booked the service I mentioned that the valuation was not to get a mortgage and that it was a cash purchase. I therefore needed a fairly accurate valuation rather than the valuation coming back as my final offer. My final offer was 342k. The valuation came back as 342k. When I phoned up to ask the surveyor, it was clear that he couldn't explain how he arrived at the figure.

Asked to be present during inspection, I live next door to the house I'm buying! No knock or courtesy call. Very standard service

As I understand from the Selling Agent that the surveyor has not inspected property yet, I was rather surprised to receive this request for a review. The survey was ordered over a week ago so I was expecting some feedback by now or possibly contact to say when survey was going to be undertaken. We were hoping to view the property again at the weekend, having received the survey and with the purpose of noting any points revealed in the report, but have put on hold. I expect that the Bank Holiday has had some impact and have not therefore been in contact previously to chase, but as you have asked all I would say is that an e mail or call to say when survey was being undertaken would have been useful.

Julie Tomasik
