I liked Leah a lot at the start of the transaction and actually told her that I would love to refer business to her if all worked out smoothly as promised. I soon felt her word meant nothing. She could not and did not close on time. She told a third party (the buyers gift donor) to send in the buyer's deposit, without informing anyone. Escrow didn't inform me either as they obviously didn't notice, and so I had a contract that meant nothing as the person who gave the deposit didn't agree to forfeit it under certain circumstances as the buyer who was supposed to send in the deposit did. I was the one who noticed what had been done to the agreement between the buyer and seller, and I do not like being put into the position I was put in. Leah also put in writing to me that I was NOT to meet with the appraiser until all Health and Safety items had been corrected (what items?) and all termite work had been done (which wasn't scheduled until near the close of escrow). I have never in my 26 years in the Real Estate business had such a ridiculous statement put into writing by a loan rep. Leah got into my contract on many levels, and to this day, I believe, does not understand that what she did was wrong. The appraiser hired by Prospect Mortgage was a nightmare to deal with. The saving grace was Bob Boehnlein, who at least calmed my frustrations with Leah and the appraiser and we eventually closed.
