I was given two companies names from HomeAdvisor, and both called me within two hours of the referral. That impressed me a lot, because many times companies won't even call when they get a referral. I hired the first one that called since I would have had to pay for a bid anyway if they came out to my house. I figured that I might just as well get the job done right away.

360 Painting was one of 4. Noble Painting one of the 4 No Show & No Return Call, ironically they had the best HA reviews. Jackson Painting called and said they were too busy. Alpha Contractors did a bid. They were timely and professional but want 50% deposit to schedule. 360 Painting only required 10% deposit to schedule. I will use 360 again.

I filled out the Home Advisor request on line, received to invites to quote, made them and one company came out to make me a estimate which I accepted and he proceded to load my junk. All the same day and over in an hour. Excellent choice of a person to do the task.

HomeAdvisor contacted me after I contacted the manufacturer of the heater line I was interested in so I had a bit more faith in the suggestions than random internet suggestions. They connected me to three contractors who all contacted me within an hour. Within two hours I had three quotes from contractors who appeared to know what they are doing. Within 10 minutes of contacting HOMEADVISOR, I received a text from the contractor to set up an appointment. HOMEADVISOR contacted me the next day to see if I needed any additional contact information for the contractor or if I would like the names of other contractors to compare. I would recommend HOMEADVISOR for anyone not sure of who to call for a home project.

The recommendation worked out well. What I didn't like is being called by them twice, even after I told the first caller that I didn't want HomeAdvisor bothering me with phone calls. So, two calls equals two missed stars on the rating scale.

I liked having contractor’s information and be able to contact or request them to contact us. I liked that the contractors didn’t have our specific personal information until we talked with them. The process was very easy. I did like that I could read the references for the contractors as well as see what kind of work they did.
I do not like that each contractor that was recommended to me was charged for this. It would be nice if the companies were not charged for each referral but only charged a small amount if you choose to work with them. Out of the 3 companies that were referred for me I chose 2 to reach out to. As I understand all 3 were charged the money. Of this 2 I reached out to only 1 of them contacted me.
