I took an item in to return that I had purchased a couple days earlier. I had the receipt. They had poor lighting and fit was not clear where to stand but I was the only person waiting. However they choose to wait until other customers came up and helped them first. They were rude for no apparent reason. I just put the kitem on the counter with the receipt and left. I would rather lose my $45 than shop there again.
This store has always had mediocre customer service in the past too. They are now my last resort for stuff I need.

I wanted to buy a range and found a competitor price much lower. I called Home Depot to order - they checked and verified they would price match. But i wanted to pay over the phone which they said i couldn't do. They told me to call the online department. After spending 40 minutes on the phone, this department said local HD was wrong and they would not honor price match. I am boycotting Home Depot forever - false advertising

My brand new HD washer/dryer broke within 2 months of purchasing it. The washer needs a new motor, capacitor & shifter. GE the manufacturer has not repaired this machine to date (4 weeks). Neither HD or GE can tell me a date that they can repair because they mailed additional parts that won't arrive for two more weeks. I urge you not to repeat my mistake by using Home Depot or GE, both fail in customer service and understanding.

I placed an order for supply of Samsung Washing Machine. The Sales Person informed me that they do not have the appliance in stock but can arrange for delivery on 17 September 2020. I accepted the terms and the order was processed. The Sales Person guided me to make payment using their payment device, payment was made using my CIBC Debit card. (Inc 20813637) Order No: 197922154. The Sales Person informed me that the appliance will be delivered as scheduled and a day before delivery I will receive a call confirming delivery schedule. I did not received any call on 16 September 2020 ans no delivery was made on 17 September 2020.
I visited their outlet on Morningside Store 7027 and spent the whole day with their staff to find out that they did not deliver the appliance because payment was not made. I produced a statement issued by CIBC confirming that the Invoice value was paid in full using my CIBC Debit Card but they insisted that they have not received any such payment as yet.
When I requested the staff to cancel the order, the staff could not cancel the order because they have started an investigation on the order and payment. I could not understand their procedure on processing orders and/or receiving payment and/or refunding against orders cancelled by Customers. Dealing with The Home Depot (for me) sounds risky.

I saw and heard customer service personnel treat an elderly person with disdain and rudeness. They have no concept of customer service. I will not shop at this store again.

First it took several weeks before, home depot contact me to schedule appointment for free window consultation. Then, when they finally contact me. The woman tells me that it would be inconvenient to meet after 230pm because of travel time. Well since that is inconvenient cancel it don't worry about a paying customer.

Can't stand using homedepot.com, it doesn't work with the world's most popular internet browser. They've definitely lost sales. Only if I see a great deal, do I purchase from them, but I have to open up internet explorer to do so.
Home depot stores get a 4star from me, their website, 1.

We purchased a new electric lawnmower from Home Depot online. When it arrived the box had been taped shut and you could see it was previously opened. When we got the lawnmower out of the box there was dust and scuff marks on it. I believe it might have been a store model. When I tried to contact Home Depot I got an automated service with no option to speak with a real person. Could not find an email address to contact them either. I was going to take this one back and order another one but now they are out of stock. I think when you sell something for $500.00 it should in deed be new not used.

I ordered and had a dishwasher delivered on a Tuesday of August. I was told not to unbox or touch said dishwasher as it would no longer be under warranty if I did. I never touched the box as it sat in my dining room for an entire week. Once two installers came to my house the following monday to install my dishwasher, they noticed dents on the front and reported it right away. Home Depot is now saying that they will not accept the dishwasher or allow me to return the dishwasher. Why? I have no idea. I am currently seeking legal advice.

I bought and paid for with cash, a new freezer from Home Depot in Marble Falls. TX, on 6/15/2020. With a promise of delivery by 1st week in July. Two days before delivery date I was told its now 2 months before I may get it. I could have used that money for a lot of other things. I keep being told it was not Home Depots Fault... Well Thats Bull! They took my cash and promised a delivery and now They postponed it. Its Home Depots Fault!

I used to drive out of my way to shop there. Now I will never shop at any Home Depot again. Dan, the asst Manager is an arrogant ass that does not give a damn about customers or customer service. This used to be a great friendly store. Now it just plan sucks, the staff have a screw you attitude, likely fostered by Dan, who will tell you in no uncertain terms he does not give a damn about your business. He does not check to see if the item you need is in the back or at another store, "If it's not under the shelf, we don't have it. The warehouse is closed because of Covid-19, you don't like it get out" So I did, and went to my local Lowes, that was much closer, I only went out of my way to go to Home Depot, Orange City, because in the past I had world Class Customer Service, boy are those days gone. Interestingly Lowes had exactly what I was looking for, and even made an announcement while I was there that they were restocking daily. I guess Lowes warehouse is still open. I have a major Kitchen overhaul I will be starting in a few days, at least $12000, I had planned to purchase the materials from Home Depot, but after Asst Manger Dan, made it clear he did not give a damn about my business, and basically told me to get out because I didn't like his attitude, that business and any future business I have will be going to Lowes or Ace Hardware. Good Job Asst Manger Dan, you just cost Home Depot a customer for life. You have absolutely no business working in retail, if you worked for me I would have fired you on the spot.

I went to HD for dirt. I found one that said 1.68. It seemed right to me because it was without all the food, just plain dirt. After waiting for the teller in the heat for a long time the price for each bag was almost $8. It was too late to say no and she sent us to customer service. Luis in customer service said I didn't do it and did not assumed any responsability. The dirt was in the wrong place. I wasted my time and nothing happened. Luis did not apologize. This is the minimum you can do for a good customer service.

I ordered a faucet. They shipped it with the box all messed up and banged up. They had to tape the box up just to hold it together. I posted a review on their site with pictures and they emailed me to tell me it didnt fit in their online posting guidelines. What I wrote here was exactly what I wrote along with pictures. I questioned how it didnt fit into their guidelines. I never received a response. I believe people need to know that when they order online it might come all mangled like mine. Very unprofessional.

I was told it could take upto a week to pick it up and once returned they can issue a refund. So now it will be a 4-5 week process to get a vanity and now the one purchased is put on backorder.. I spoke to a gentlemen at customer care that told me to bad it's the process I will get my funds back when it is returned per trucking conpany.

I ordered a chest freezer on April 29th with a delivery date on July 1st due to backorder over Chinese Coronavirus. The day before delivery, the delivery was changed to August 5th! The delay significantly impacted my business operations. I asked for compensation for delayed delivery and/or the last minute notice, and was denied. Thanks for nothing HomeDepot!!!

I will admit that homedepot.com can screw things up sometimes, but they have never failed to make it right for me. So they either get it right the first time, or I end up getting a discount for my trouble. So I think 4 stars is a fair review when a lot of other companies are flat-out refusing to take care of their customers

I ordered a dishwasher online. First their website advertises free installation on appliances, including dishwashers. I pick out my dishwasher, go to check out and not only do I have to wait 4 weeks, but there is an install charge. I’m annoyed but whatever. I proceed with the purchase.
Fast forward to delivery day. Installer gets here and says there is absolutely no way he can get my old dishwasher out without me removing either my countertop or a foot of wood flooring in front of the dishwasher. Leaves the new one and leaves a number to call to reschedule once we have removed flooring. Promises they’ll be back in 48-72 hours once we do that.
30 minutes after they leave, my husband has the old one out without removing or altering anything. I call the number they left to reschedule, spend 1.5 hours on hold, and then told I need transferred somewhere else, she hangs up on me. Call back, another 1.5 hours on hold, she tells me she needs to transfer me somewhere, hangs up on me.
I am fuming by this point. I see a different number listed on my receipt and decide to try to call it. This time I’m “only” on hold for 40 minutes. The girl who answers is knowledgeable and helpful. Calls the installer and arranges for them to come back in 3 days. She says I’ll receive a call the night before with my four hour window.
Fast forward to install day. I’ve gotten no call with a four hour window so I call the number again. At least hold time was only 15 minutes or so at 7am. She tells me there is no work order in the system for delivery today. Says if I don’t have a work order number, it isn’t scheduled. Says I need to wait another 2 days before they can get back out.
Meanwhile, I have had my old dishwasher sitting in the middle of my kitchen, the new dishwasher sitting in the middle of my living room all week. A pile of dishes in my sink and absolutely zero confidence in Home Depot or their installer. I do not honestly believe that come Friday I will have a dishwasher either. I will never ever buy an appliance from Home Depot again.

If I could rate no stars, I would. Our family first drove 30 minutes to Logansport for two 24 in wide pantry cabinets. Kristen and customer service were very helpful locating the cabinets we needed (although at another location), helping us apply for a Home Depot card, getting online, ordering, and paying for said cabinets in order to guarantee we could pick them up ASAP. We then drove an additional hour and a half to Noblesville to pick up our cabinets. While there, we picked up paint, primer, brushes, etc for the cabinets. Then went to customer service to pick up our cabinets and Tristen sent someone to get them. A girl brought up the incorrect cabinets, I informed her they were not what we ordered. She scanned the barcode, said “oh shoot”, then I never saw her again. After standing at customer service for awhile, Tristen pointed and told me my cabinets were there- sitting where they had been left. I informed her they were not the ones we ordered. After looking at the computer she said they don’t have the ones we ordered. Next came Mark. Mark offered to refund the cabinets and offered a discount on the paint since we would be losing our $50 coupon from our new Home Depot card. The entire purpose of the paint was to cover our now non existent cabinets. We returned our entire purchase. Or so we thought. Mark stated we could order the cabinets online and ship them to my house. I inquired about the coupon we used and it was only valid in store. First, he said we could not use it again, then stated he was “99 percent positive” we could use it again in store. He also offered a paper stating we were owed $50 from the store with his signature on it. However, this would only be valid at the Noblesville store, an hour and a half away from our home. He also told us the Greenwood location had 3 cabinets we needed available (another hour in the opposite direction of our home) and I was wary of believing that since the Logansport location assured us the Noblesville location had 2 according to their online system. The Noblesville location had one and it was damaged, the door was hanging off the hinges. Tristan refunded our cabinets to the card we just opened and I told my husband we could order them online and ship them to our house. We left and about 10-15 minutes down the road I realized we paid $361.66 for the cabinets alone and the refund receipt only showed a credit of $180.82. We then turned around to immediately go back as we were afraid this would then turn into a “he said, she said” instance and we would have to pay a bill for cabinets we never received. After we were finally settled and my husband verified we were all squared away we began our travels home (with 2 tired and hungry children). After we got home I then pulled up HomeDepot.com to order our cabinets and ship them. THAT. IS. NOT. AN. OPTION.
IF Greenwood in fact does have said cabinets, why can’t they be shipped to us considered we wasted an entire day? At this point we would like to cancel our credit card and sever all ties with Home Depot as we will never return.
I realize you, as a large corporation, will probably not lose much sleep over what ultimately was a sale of $460.38. But to an average family of 4 this is not money we take lightly. Not even including our wasted day and gas.

Try to reach them on company phone for online purchase is next to impossible. I tried for 1 full week 3 or 4 times a day for a large purchase that was not in store Have been put on hold each time and after 30 to 45 min I hung up I did get ahold of them in past only to be put on hold several times because they could not answer question And they dont even like excepting there own coupons there is always a catch Done with Home Depot lowes has better sales anyway And I can by tools I need at other sights just as cheap are cheaper. In store it's hard to find a knowledgable person to talk to I just look till I find what I need. WILL NOT SHOP THERE AGAIN

I just bought a condo had a slew of small fixes to do. HD has it all and at very good prices compared to other home stores. Bought a sliding barn door for pick up in store (Marina del Rey) - customer service was on point during this pandemic and the guy who helped us even came outside to help us load it up in the car. I've also ordered a variety of things for instore pick up. They've been ready within 24-48 hours and pick up was super easy and simple.
Their cabinet hardware didn't have as much variety as I would like though in store. Amazon surprisingly has a good deal of items in stock and ready to ship.
