Every time I have a parcel to be delivered by hermes it goes missing and an absolute nightmare to contact them. I no longer purchase items that use Hermes for delivery don't know how they are able to get away with shocking service ......

This company is PURE GARBAGE. they have a bunch of indian drivers running around lying about every single thing. They dont attempt delivery yet they say they did and no one was home. I paid for a pick up and been waiting 2 days. They waste your time and when u confront them about it they lie about it and deny responsibility.
They are cheap for a reason. That reason is they are a worthless company thaf NO ONE should do business with.
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS

3rd day now of being told my parcel would be delivered. Said they attempted delivery yesterday and could get no access, lies! I was home waiting. Absolute joke of a company. I would give zero stars if there was an option. If i knew hermes were the courier i would not have ordered.

Hermes lost my parcel containing a £90 set of football cards, it didn't even make it out of their local delivery shop according to their tracking. I had paid for insurance and read the small print carefully and couldn't find any exclusion that would apply to these cards, so sent them confident that they were covered for loss or damage. Now they are refusing to pay out because they say these cards are "Memorabilia" which is nonsense to me. They give no explanation in their exclusions of what this term includes and the examples they give are "Memorabilia, photographs, signed items and vinyl". It seems to me that they are using this as a "catch all" exclusion for them losing anything old or collectible. I am now faced with taking them to the small claims court or writing to the press to get paid, due entirely to their incompetence and negligence. In reality, there is no greater risk of losing an item whether it is a football or football cards, so their exclusions for loss of some items just seems to be a way to increase their profits with no real justification. Be warned!

There are bad companies, then there is Hermes.
More like Roy Rogers than the God of Trade
Given a date and time of delivery, nothing. Looked at the tracking information "your parcel has been delayed" no other details.
Filled in their complaints/feedback form, added the tracking number, only to get it rejected because the sender was a High Street Retailer. What rubbish. The seller is an online retailer that uses this rubbish "courier" service. All Hermes want to do is wash their hands of any responsibility. Their tracking service says they have the goods, so it is their responsibility to deliver, goods or information. The other reviews bear this out. As far as I know, this is a cheapskate delivery service that uses private individuals in their own vehicles to cut costs - the Uber of the delivery companies. I used to think and know, that Royal Mail was bad, but Hermes just set a new low.
I'm not having much luck with the seller either. They say they they have dispatched the goods, Hermes say they have them. Someone is lying. For "delayed", I'm reading "lost", "destroyed", "misappropriated", whatever.
Either way, I won't use Hermes or the seller again, simply because the seller chose this rotten outfit. Almost worthy of a Watchdog investigation

Hermes does not even deserve one star!
Two packages from 2 separate places, both containing expensive Elemis products are noted on Hermes website as being delivered to my address at 11.28 pm on 26/09/2019. After reporting that no packages were delivered at all on 26 or 27th, they amended the website to report they were delivered at 20.14 on 26th.
Total bull! Went onto Hermes website today 28/09, to find that when you input the tracking numbers it comes up with “NON-DELIVERY DEC”. Have no idea what this means.
I wouldn’t trust this company with a paper bag, never mind a package!

Ordered a pair of trainers from Size they used this delivery company was told on the App delivered to the next door neighbour. He said he hadn't signed for or received anything I know from ordering other items online that Hermes or the delivery driver that delivers in the Central London postcode never knock your door even when you buzz them in they enter the building and just leave the package anywhere on the ground floor for anyone to pick up. Now I been told by size I cant get a refund because the item had been delivered and that after 6 weeks of me having to enquire each time. They ain't taking the mick out of me If I got to expose them on Watchdog or take legal action so be it.

First, you have failed to deliver my parcel on time, yet again. For the millionth time. I paid for next-day delivery, but Hermes has failed to deliver my parcel. No surprise here!
In addition to that, I have received a misleading emails claiming that my parcel has been delivered. Lies. I was at home and no one came to my house to deliver anything today. As it happens, I was in my hall/entrance way during the whole time when myHermes claims to have delivered my parcel.
I find it rude, unprofessional, and unlawful to lie to your customers.
myHermes continues to use misleading practices, lying to me and saying that my parcel was delivered, when in fact it was not been delivered.
Online reviews and complaints about myHermes prove that the company has very low business standards and low customer satisfaction.
You need to improve your services and train your drivers or hire new ones if this ongoing problem is related to them.

It's not the first time nor I suspect, will it be the last time that some online retailer uses this company to deliver the goods I have bought. In the same vein it's not the first time nor do I suspect that it will be the last that Hermes tell me on their tracking service that "There's been a slight delay with your delivery" whilst informing the retailer who sold me the goods that "Delivery was attempted".
Unfortunately for Hermes, yet again the package they didn't attempt to deliver carries clear instructions as to where to leave it if there is no reply at the door, it does not need a signature, can fit through the letterbox in the front door and to cap it all there were three people at the premises at the times when Hermes told the retailer they "attempted delivery".
I suspect the reason why my "guaranteed next day delivery parcels" never arrive the next day when retailers use Hermes is that I live in a rural area and of course it costs their town based self-employed couriers a lot of their own money in fuel to deliver to rural addresses plus if they are only paid pennies per parcel delivered, that's obviously a net loss to a courier. Nobody in their right mind would spend £5.40p on fueld for a 45 mile round trip to deliver a parcel that will only pay them 40p.
Martijn de Lange, chief executive of Hermes UK needs to wake up and realise that this business model does not work for rural areas. They should not con retailers that they can provide an efficient "next day" or any day nationwide delivery service when it's blindingly obvious that with this business model they can't.
A quick look at the FAQs about being a Hermes courier informs all who read it how play the system as well as creates some concern about where their purchases may be stored overnight.
"Do all parcels have be to delivered on the same day?
- It won’t always be possible to successfully deliver a parcel to a customer, a neighbour or a safe location on the first day but delivery should always be attempted for all items on the same day you take receipt of them."
"What do I do with parcels that I am not able to deliver?
You will need to record the reason for non-delivery on your device and then store the items in a secure place overnight to re-attempt them the following day."
Is that "secure place" someone's house, their car left parked on the street or their garden shed? Are they insured for any loss or damage to these items when they store them overnight? Who pays that insurance? Not Hermes for certain because their couriers are generally self-employed and responsible for their own insurance, vehicle maintenance and fuel.
Even if the Hermes couriers took up the new "self-emplyed plus" status as trumpeted in early 2019, there is no guarantee that a package will be delivered on time. See BBC News U.K. business-47110934 article of 4 February 2019.
For the online retailer, the lesson is that if the parcel isn't urgent and you dont mind your customer getting it some time next week or even next month then use Hermes and expect earache.
However if you promise next day nationwide delivery then use a courier that can do the job and has the right business model.

Moonpig used this company to send champagne and a card I ordered. the good were orderef7 days in advance to make sure it was there for the 50th party. This clmpany must be the worst delivery company in the country and how it gets away with it is beyond believe. As for moonpig its not there problem once it is dispatched to these clowns

Absolutely dreadful. Paid for next day delivery, waited around the house to be informed that apparently a delivery was attempted even though I was sat on my sofa next to the door at the time of the “attempted delivery”. Wait around yet again the next day for the same thing to happen, I went into live chat where they told me that the courier couldn’t reach my house as it was restricted. My house is just through an archway the width of a car with no gates what so ever. Said they would tell the courier to try again tonight, it’s 19:41 and still waiting. Assuming the same will just happen again tomorrow. Worst delivery service I’ve ever had by far, how is this company still running.

What a load of rubbish this company is. Sent some china items well packed in a very strong box, polystyrene all round the inside of the box, lots of padding material round each china item. Checked before sending the parcel, the package had no signs of movement of items inside. Packaging had plenty of written warning on it saying FRAGILE, I think this was my biggest mistake, well other than using this company, it obviously let them know they didn't need to handle it carefully.
The largest of the items was smashed. Since found out they will deliver hardly anything that does not have some sort of get out clause regarding compensation.
Will never use them again even if I need an unbreakable item delivering, they would probably find some way of knackering that up.

Using the tracking app for Hermes when my parcels started not to arrive it said "held information required" and then "requested return to retailer". I have made no such request. The delivery driver has made no attempt to deliver 2 parcels on multiple occasions. I have cctv and a Ring video door bell and no driver has even entered my road. I have had several deliveries from dpd etc with no problem. The driver is a liar and costing me time and money. So then I thought I would contact customer services. What a joke !!!!! their live chat doesn't work and their email response time is days and then when they do answer and you reply they don't respond at all !!!! 3 email enquires, 1 response after 2 days. Oh and then theres the customer service number which is experiencing technical difficulties. DO NOT USE HERMES THEY ARE A NIGHTMARE. Use any other courier service or royal mail. Appalling company. It's like winding back the clock 20 years and waiting in for a delivery that never arrives only worse. I will be taking them to court as my time is extremely valuable.

I received an email from Hermes stating that no-one was home when they attempted delivery, and again the following day. Thing is, I have a RING doorbell and there is no evidence of them attempting delivery. They are liars and maintain that they have twice tried to deliver and have GPS tracking to proove it. Well I am guessing that is also a bs.

My parcel was delivered in the time slot provided but the courier left the parcel on the door step in view of the road without knocking.
I only found out when I tracked the parcel, the message left said it had been posted through the letter box which was impossible because of the size.
