Fraudulent tactics -posing as Quickbooks representative
Called them thinking I was calling Quickbooks for an updated payroll key #. He immediately asked for access to my computer, and I repeatedly explained that all I needed was the payroll key #. He avoided answering me and proceeded to access my computer through team viewer like program.
He then tried to sell me upgrades and I repeatedly told him all I needed was the new key. He gained access to my computer and looked at all records. I then realized he was not with Quickbooks because he was avoiding addressing my actual concern. I asked him if he was with Quickbooks, and then he finally replied "no ", and he had no delivery key for me. I told him he should have answered my question directly and immediately instead of gaining access to my computer records.
beware of this SCAM company. Their ad on Google is very deceptive!

Tech help claimed computer was hacked
I recently called this phone number incorrectly thinking it was AppleCare support. I Googled "Apple Support Phone" looking for the number and this was the first search result. The customer service rep said they could fix my problem by logging in remotely. They claimed to have tried and said the process failed because my computer was hacked by someone in Nigeria. They said the problem could be fixed in 1 hour if I pay a technician $350. This made me suspicious so I did not proceed.
