This is the 3rd time I have written a review, but I have not been able to find the previous 2 had been posted. My original order was delivered damaged. I attempted to call Hazeltons but was unable to reach anyone. I tried the online chat, but had not response. Finally I emailed customer service. I received a response the next day and was told my order would be reshipped. The site advertises next day delivery; however, neither the original or replacement arrived next day. The replacement was received after a week, and it was also broken. I contacted customer service again via email and was told I could either reship or get a store credit. I said I wanted a refund, and would never order from this company again. I was told a refund was not possible. I have contacted my credit card company and placed a dispute. I have never dealt with such a frustrating company. And I am embarrassed that the recipient was involved in this mess.

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. They could care less about their customers! I ordered a cake for my sister's birthday and it arrived four days late after I paid extra for special delivery. After it did not arrive, I called immediately to cancel the order, but no one would answer. I sent an email to cancel the order, but they refused. After that they failed to respond to my numerous emails for a refund. The cake they sent was an absolute mess. It was packaged very poorly and it is not even the cake I ordered. I sent them pictures of what was delivered and again asked for a refund, but they will not respond to you. This is a HORRIBLE company. Stay away and do not let them rip you off with unbelievably BAD service, BAD packaging, BAD delivery, and BAD products! Another reviewer suggested complaining to the Ontario consumer protection and Market Place, I am going to do just that. This is the worst experience ever, I wish I had seen all of these bad reviews before I ordered from this company.

Horrible customer service. The staff who take orders over the phone are incompetent. Even when phoning numerous times to correct errors the product still arrives with the same errors created by the company's staff. Stay clear of this company.

I placed an order on 6/20 for 8/7 delivery date for a trip I was taking to Niagara Falls for my boyfriend’s birthday. I am from the US. I reached out on 8/5 to see if I can get an estimate of when it would arrive. They informed me on 8/8 because 8/5 was a Canadian holiday. I asked for a refund because I needed it for 8/7 and they would not give me a refund. If they was not able to deliver on 8/7 they had plenty of time to inform me. No one ever reached out. I submitted over 4 tickets online and no one contacted me back. When I really got someone on the phone, they said they did not respond to my email because they did not want to. I asked for a refund before they even process it on their end. And the representative informed me that I should have known that 8/7 could have been met because it takes 2 business days and 8/5 is a holiday. I informed him I’m from the US and did not have that holiday and the weBsite did not communicate that and he said “oh well”. Horrible customer service

Do not order anything from here. I wish I would have seen all hear awful reviews before ordering. What an awful place with awful products. Absolutely disgusted with this purchase I would advise looking elsewhere. What a rip off!!! Didn't get anything close to what I ordered and in there "terms and conditions" it's explained basically u don't get what u order. Absolutely disgusting!! Cannot stress enough !! Avoid

Don’t trust the positive reviews in other places! Hazelton’s does not publish negative reviews and pays google not to list them. Seriously terrible customer service. I ordered a $250 dollar gift basket with extras added. Three items were missing. I’ve been dealing with them for a week now to resolve and all they do is make ridiculous requests, like send a photo of the gift basket because “it’s standard protocol.” Also standard protocol are snarky emails like “we apologize that you believe your items are missing.” DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Our experience with Hazelton's Canada has also been very disappointing. A gift basket which was sent from my sister who lives in Australia for my birthday has still not been delivered. Customer service told us that the driver could not deliver because there was no one there! Since we live in a condo with 24 hour concierge this is impossible. We have never experienced issues like this with anyone else. Now they are saying that my sister has to pay an extra shipping fee in order for it to be re-sent. I would not recommend this company.

Worst service ever!
The products arrived completely damaged, the cake was melted and the fruits were rotten. Their customer service blamed me for choosing the shipment method.
Any other store will provide a better service than this one. Don’t buy it!

I was super worried after ordering my basket from the hazeltons website after I had read the reviews here. In all honesty the hamper which arrived to my partner living in the US was amazing. It arrived on time and with all the contents I ordered. Honestly take a chance it really paid off for me.

Horrible customer service and products received were not what was ordered. The packaging of the gift basket was embarrassing. Spent $90 on a basket with wine that was not the correct kind/what I picked, cheese that was also not the correct kind/what I picked, a missing item, and a wrong delivery date. When I reached out to customer service about this, I was given a painfully obvious blanket statement. To which after responding back, I never heard anything again. Clearly they do not care or value their customers to be sending out wrong items in terrible packaging. Would highly suggest going elsewhere for any gift baskets if you want to receive what you actually ordered.

Just had a very similar experience to the many reviews written here. I ordered a beer gift basket for my mom for Mother's Day. I'm not exactly sure what happened but the beer I choose was nothing like what was delivered (I ordered Stella Artois - they substitute Cracked Canoe). I ordered Camembert cheese, they send something completely different. This is the 3rd time I have used the company, the first 2 times to my brother in Ontario. These seemed to go okay. However, this delivery to Alberta will be the last time I use this company. The fact that the company takes advantage of the situation where you order one thing and get something completely different is fraudulent. As it was for my mother I tried not to make a big deal of it as I didn't want to detract from the moment.

Would do zero stars if possible.
Order was not delivered on date requested and confirmed in order. Items were delivered much later and NOTHING as ordered.
Customer services have ignored all my queries, including when I had received information from a third party company (whom I had already chosen not to order from as was not what I wanted) asking for a message on the order. Have advised all I know to avoid this site and still trying to get a resolve on the issue 2 weeks later. Awful service and false advertising.

From the beginning with misleading advertising to the end with moldy fruit, three days late and nothing but excuses blaming my wife that she is at fault. Not to mention the complete wrong items ordered, thank god we have all the pictures we need as proof and the ignorant emails from their customer service that our credit card has issued a full refund. I can only hope that anyone reading this will shop elsewhere and not go through this embarrassing situation when there are so many more great companies that understand customer service

If I could go negative I would.
I ordered WHITE ORCHIDS for a friend. They delivered wilted cheap kalanchoes wrapped in grocery store plastic and in a flimsy generic plastic pot. They claim the right to substitute and refuse to fix it. Extraordinarily rude customer service. Hung up on me claiming 'you get what we deliver' and they repeated this in the email to customer service. Online chat was a joke, they do not care about the customer or delivering what was ordered.
Also, the wrong item sent is not even the same as what they advertise at all.

Originally , I have to deal with their US operations and they have tons of negative review. Have U read this reviews beforehand I could've avoided them. It's just like negative review with a "company". How I wish I went the extra effort to read about customer reviews about them. I have a big caution to give to this gift delivery company, Stay Clear of this sh$%!y company. Don't be fooled with google giving you them as first results to gift delivery. Apparently they're SEO marketing expert in making them appear reliable under google search results and that's just it to them. Somebody please put them on notice on consumer complaint agencies in US and Canada.

Horrible customer service. Their website was not clear on delivery in Montreal. My package was delivered several days late. I was told they could not deliver the basket on the chosen date, yet it was available for me to choose an option. Secondly, I kept having to email customer service to be kept in the loop, which is ridiculous. Last but not least, I have written THREE emails to their customer service, with zero response. They take your money, and cannot even take the time to write a response to me. Do not purchase from them!! They do not believe in good customer service. I didn't request a refund, I just wanted a response from them and they couldn't even bother with something as simple as that. Would give them zero stars if I could.

i would give minus stars, not just no stars, because of the frustration, time lost, wasted merchandise, and embarrassment of being cheated. Beware! Although this travesty of consumer service happened in late December 2018, the more up-to-date reviews show an ongoing pattern of misleading information and poor business practice.

Not a trustworthy company
I ordered its "Silver Mug Gift Basket" for a birthday present and there was no silver mug. The company notes that they will substitute if the product was unavailable and they don't have time to inform customers beforehand. The product substitution was a beer glass and I ordered on a Tuesday (thinking I had checked next day) but it was delivered on a Friday. In our time, is 3 days not enough time to inform of a significant replacement. There is an equivalently priced gift basket with 4 glasses and wooden holder that also contains more items than the one I ordered. I've been waiting for a response from their customer service for 1.5 weeks (when they say they get back to you in 72 hours). I had left a "verified review" on their website but it doesn't appear there, instead is a bunch of 4-5 star reviews from 2-3 years ago. Maybe they had been a good company once but not anymore. There are a lot of other reviews in the last several months and all not good with product issues. Spend your money elsewhere!

I ordered at $200 basket to be delivered on the same day, as it was a birthday gift. The package contained fruit and a cakelet. The package arrived 6 days later. Naturally, the cake and fruit had spoiled and had melted on the other products.They had not marked the package as perishable. My and my husband's attempt to get any kind of reimbursement / apology / acknowledgement of responsibility from Hazelton was continually met with complete denial and disregard. They were rude, dismissive and belligerent. It breaks my heart to deal with companies whose entire intent is only to make money, and take no ownership once they take the client's money. We are going through various other channels to seek redress.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
This service is the biggest scam in the history of scams!! I tried ordering a basket for someone who lives in Washington state-- it's a hard state to send delivered goods to, so when I found Hazleton's, I was extremely excited to send a gift basket to a friend who got into medical school. I ordered a cake, truffles, chocolate candies and a balloon. 3/4 items sent were INCORRECT and the cake came in SMASHED condition to where it was unrecognizable. What an embarrassment seriously. IF YOU CAN'T DELIVER THE GOODS IN GREAT CONDITION, DON'T LIST THEM ON YOUR WEBSITE! Honestly, avoid at all costs, they don't even deserve 1/4 of a star. OMG not to mention the horrible tracking. They offer tracking of 1-2 business days but their delivery time is 4x the estimate. The goods arrived 8 days later...anyways, called my cc company and got a big refund but please don't waste your time.

Terrible experience. Hazelton's or Yorkville's They're one company of morons! I Ordered gift basket for valentines day for my wife. I made sure i paid premium same day delivery by 5pm and it says "GUARANTEED SAME DAY DELIVERY". But what happened they deliver it the next day. I ask customer service (QUINTON) what happened all they said was traffic. Traffic?! what an i-diot. That's why i paid premium shipping so i can be sure it will be delivered same day. They replied what can they do, just suck it up, you're not just the only one. What i bunch of morons. I don't know if they understand their terms and conditions. There goes my report to Better Business Bureau. I Will never be a repeat customer nor recommend this company/store. Beware!

I ordered from Hazelton's in the US... is this the same company because? Never order from here! I ordered an orchid and chocolate strawberries for my grandmother and mother for mother's day. The orchid was "ok", but not as nice as what I usually get them. The strawberries were a MESS! They were not ripe, the green tops were all dried out and withered, and they had not been packed properly so they ended up all smashed together at one end of the box with the chocolate broken off. Additionally, the white bowl they were supposed to come it was missing. When I contacted customer service (which was not easy!) they took 4 days to get back to me, then told me they needed photos. From my 80 year old mother! (and 99 year old grandmother!), I told them I did not live near them and they do not have smart phones. They offered to send a replacement order. Guess what, the replacement order was even WORSE! than the original! The strawberries again were not packed properly and mashed, none were ripe and the chocolate was completely mashed in with the strawberries. When I contacted customer service they said they couldn't help me without photos, but by the looks of these reviews, they should realize by now that everything they send out is awful! Horrible company!
