Purchased a washing machine last year - went with Harvey Norman due to the bonus 6kg OMO that came with it. When it was delivered and installed the delivery drivers said that they had run out of the bonus 6kg OMO and we'd get it later. Never did. Contacted the store multiple times and never got an answer let alone a simple reply. Still waiting for correspondence. Due to buy a dryer soon - will not purchase through HN again.

These stars are for Brett in electrical appliances at the Marion store in SA. I had been in and out of the store on and off for a couple of weeks trying to decide on a stove and fridge. His service was excellent. Nothing was a bother and he was happy to go through so many products with me as I changed my mind.
After looking in a few other opposition stores with mostly similar prices a chose to return to H N for a last look. Brett was there and he got my business. Thanks Brett!

Husband and myself went shopping for a new TV to few retailers then ended up in Harvey Norman dandenong and received excellent proprofessional service from sales person BERRY knew what he was talking about gave us all the knowledge and advice and a great deal.A well groomed sales person i should say very friendly and i even got the name of his aftershave to get my husband as a gift. Great experience and if you shop there see BERRY in the TV department.

I bought a new shower that included installation, I was supposed to be called the next day to arrange a shower measuring. A week later and nothing. Will be cancelling the order. If they can’t even call, what’s the chances of them getting the shower in? Writing on the wall.

I purchased carpet at Harvey-Norman in Nunawading Victoria 2 years ago I had one room that couldn’t be carpeted at the time but was told to contact them when room became free to carpet I have been in store twice to try and arrange this first try was promised carpet layer took afternoon work no one came no phone call to let me know I went to store in Nunawading 2days later and promised a call on the Monday morning organising another carpet layer 4 days later no phone call and no explanation terrible customer service will never shop their again

Went in today to have a product price matched as per their policy. The store manager MICHAEL refused by saying it was out of stock in the local EB; it wasn't. His own staff member then corrected him, yet he still refused. I wanted to note this down and kindly to speak to head office to clarify. He completely overreacted and took offense and threatened to trespass me and call the police. Not wanting to honour your policy is one thing, but to act like a manchild and bully a customer with rude and threatening behaviour shows someone who is simply not fit to be dealing with people, let alone managing them.

Franchione owner of IT section at broadway store tried to blame me for moving items which were priced wrong, when I asked for the product which was priced, it wasnt available on the floor, he had to retrieve it from back of storage, it wasnt priced up. When I asked franchise owner about the issue, he admitted that they had recently moved shelves and one of the employees made a mistake. When I then explained the rules according to the ACCC he again blamed me for not reading the the product name. The product name was "google home nest hub" and "google home nest hub max", there was one word difference and the font used was tiny. If I was buying this as a gift I would have had no idea I was buying the wring product. Even if they were not trying to rip people off, when you make a mistake you need to face up to it and not blame the customer. I made a complaint to the head office and they referred my details back to the franchise owner who got his manager to call me and try and intimidate me being aggressive and rude. I made an official written complaint and they offered me a $30 discount, although refused to put it in writing. It made me suspicious if this was a valid offer or a ploy to further intimidate me in person.

the worst experience of customer service from online and instore at chadstone Harvey Norman, bought Ghost Recon breakpoint gold edition online then picked up in store and that's when it started to fall apart i asked for the codes to redeem my online bonuses from playstation and was told I would get an email, I got the email but no redemption codes at ebgames and jbhifi you get the codes printed out on the receipt, so I phoned online multiple times and was told yes we will send out the codes 7 days later still no codes, I then ring the store and get told come in we will give you a refund, arrived at the store went and spoke to the lady only to be told no i can't give you a refund I will call online, after almost 45min on the phone I get the response we will find the code and give it to you tomorrow, the purpose of getting the codes is to redeem them when you start the game not wait a week and then keep waiting, spoke to the store manager and he was useless as well no refund just more people that have no idea about customer service, shame on you Harvey Norman Online and Chadstone 😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Update finally got a code but it's useless now it needs to be redeemed when you first start the game a total waste of time and money.

lagging far behind in live chats and all inclusive customer satisfaction...there was no live chat because the one staff that handles the line was away! The next question was if oven bought from Harvey Norman, would the installer make the necessary modifications to the existing oven cavity if needed, of course paying extra for modification and installation. The answer was no such service is offered by Harvey Norman. So what follows is that you have to be without an oven for at least a fortnight....... The delivery from HN would take a few days, then an electrician will remove the existing oven and decide whether the new one will fit the existing cavity. If modifications necessary then arrange for a carpenter to modify the cavity and call back the electrician to install it. It was exhausting typing it out, what I would call a simple service where if needed a quote is arranged for and the carpenter and the electrician come and finish the job in a day. only being without an oven for a day. The other company I am dealing with does just that.

Worst customer service ever! Will make errors on their end and have in their system that the customer asked for these changes. Rude and you can't get through to them. Go somewhere else if you can and avoid the headache.

Went into store looking for a computer, was pounced on immediately by a sharp talking salesman who informed me he was not interested in earning less than $5K per week, I asked him the difference between the $2500 computer and the $1400 one, and that was his goal then, to sell me the $1400 one for the price of the more expensive model - I still do not know the difference. I told him I am 74 years old, on a single pension, had to get interest free over 5 years to pay for it, still the price went from $1400 to $2500. This was with their $500 "Care package" which supposedly covers all problems??? for 5 years - does not! - a $200 power board which was the king of kings according to them and a must have! - transfer of data and 12 months free tech advice. After arguing a while with a very persuasive and forceful salesman, I was taken to the registers to sign up. I felt uneasy, so asked to see the store manager, was sent some 20 something y/o who told me if I did not take the $500 package I was crazy, cut about $200 off the price for things I did not need - that was it. Still uneasy, but needing the interest free, I took his word - I should have just walked out, my head was reeling, I was confused, and they had me convinced. I have since found out the $500 "care package" is not worth the paper it is written on and when I later complained to store manager - same one - he abruptly informed me I had signed up for the package and if I was not happy I should have walked away. The Salesman's words echo in my ears - you came here looking to spend $2500, I just worked out a package for that amount.
Bad tactics, hard salesmanship at any level, uncaring about your circumstances, selling an item at an overinflated price to match their commission - how bad can it get? No wonder retail is dying - nearly dead. I will never shop in there again and have nothing good to say about them or their salesmen. There are other options, and I am disgusted that they would go to such lengths at such an inflated price to make a sale. Bad Form Harvey!

Over the years I purchase many things from Harvey Norman in Melbourne,very dissapionted ,brought 65in tv in March this year,the cost delivery and set up to expensive,they gave me a Rebel voucher that I had to download on line,naturaly I couldn't do this,accidently deleted,silly voucher,nothing I would but at Rebel,then 2 months ago brought new Laptop also carry bag,asked if he could give discount,no,I was told they give seniors discount ,but cant be true

This is regarding the Iphone 6S 32GB I wanted to purchase for my daughter. I tried for this phone in office works, Goodguys and other stores. Unfortunately this model is not available in many stores. I called up harvey norman Rothwell to check whether this phone is available in their stores (Saturday 17th August 2019). They took my number and told me that somebody from the store will give a call on my mobile. I received a call after 10 mins and I was told that they have the stock and they mentioned that they will give me a better deal than anybody else. I told them I will collect the phone the next day as the stores was about to close. The next day (Sunday 18th August 2019), I went to Harvey Norman along with my daughter to get the Iphone 6S 32GB. My daughter was also excited that finally we are about to get the phone. I went to electronics section and asked the sales representative about Iphone 6S 32GB, I also mentioned to them that I had received a call the previous evening about the availability of the stock. They said that they have "space grey" and generally they sell the stock on contract. I told them that I am not interested in any mobile contract and I would like to take "unlocked phone". They insisted me that I go with a mobile contract but I kept saying that the phone is for my daughter and she doesn't use it much and we are planning for a cheap prepaid mobile plan. They kept insisting me that I should go with mobile contract and also asked me why I want to purchase an unlocked phone. Finally they went inside and had a chat with the store manager and came back to me saying that they will sell the Iphone 6S 32GB space grey for $499. I asked them whether they can do price match with "Office works" and showed them their price which is "$439". They went inside and had a chat with thier manager and came back to me saying that they don't have the Iphone 6S and it is out of stock, The only store which has this phone is in "Cairns". They also told me that they can get it from there for $499. I finally went to "BIG W" chermside and they are very helpful and told me that the GOLD colour Iphone 6S 32GB is available in Northlakes and picked it from "Big W". Finally I got a brand new Iphone 6S 32GB for my daughter from BigW. my experience with Harvey Norman is pathetic and their behavior is very unprofessional. I wouldn’t go to Harvey norman again.

I brought an off- the shelf hp printer (as it was the last in stock); it had a faulty printhead and ALSO had missing tri-colour printhead cartridge. Harvey Norman was the absolute worst to deal with, they were horrible and sent me around the entire world for two days in order to resolve this issue. I had to travel physically, and contact myself other stores to find the products availability as there were "unable" to do this. After contacting hp myself, and receiving their amazing customer service, they even formally wrote an authorisation of return letter Harvey Norman was STILL having difficulty with the return (exchange of the exact same printer) as it was not from the 'same store' where I initially purchased the printer, due to the fact they had none in stock and were again "unable" to get any in for me. Finally after calling hp for the second time (a day later) they personally got in contact with Harvey Norman and finally I was able to make the return/ exchange. This process basically took me two whole days, time and money in travel and it was both emotionally and mentally exhausting.

Do not shop here had a staff member slamming keyboard slamming doors when my daughter politely declined there after warranty complained 3 times to there manager in writing with no response staff is a grub and it seems so is there manager NO RESPECT The Good Guys next door GO THERE .
