We recently returned from the most amazing trip to Vietnam – such a land of contrasts. The primary reason for the resounding success of our trip leads back to utilising the services of a local Vietnamese travel agency. We worked out a rough plan of places we would like to visit and then contacted Tony Bui at Halong Promotion Tours & Travel. From the start Tony was amazing and offered superb suggestions and great changes to our extensive itinerary. Nothing was too much hassle and Tony always responded promptly and knowledgeably - forever patient answering all of my questions. The end result was a flawless itinerary with unbelievable attention to detail and incredibly cost-effective compared to quotations we received from a New Zealand travel agent. Our entire 17 day trip was absolute plain sailing with no issues at all! What made the trip so effortless was the small details Tony added such as booking a hotel room we could use for a few hours when our train arrived in Hanoi from Sapa at 5.30am. Let me tell you about our trip and Tony’s influence on its success – it was a customised itinerary and not part of a group tour. We started in Ho Chi Minh and travelled on a 2 day private car tour to Vinh Long and Can Tho to experience life in the Mekong Delta and the amazing Cai Rang floating market. Totally fascinating and we loved Ut the tour guide’s sense of humour and as a local his impressive knowledge of the delta. Our next destination was Hoi An and we were totally engrossed with the old town with its lanterns, amazing food, tailoring and markets. The hotel Tony booked us into is in the old town which was a magical location. Heading north we travelled by private car to Hue where we were fascinated by tombs and the citadel. Our next destination was our absolute favourite – Phong Nha Cave – a 4 hour bus trip from Hue but very much worth it! 7km long and a natural phenomenon this cave is one of 300 in the area. Magnificient. An overnight train trip from Hanoi to Sapa was part of an ‘adventure’. Sapa and the surrounding villages are like moving back in time and very much reminded me of Kathmandu and Nepal. The detail in Tony’s organising during our trip to Sapa was incredible. Everywhere we went hotel receptionists etc knew exactly who we were and the timing for our treks, transfers etc. A fascinating area to visit. Returning to Hanoi, Tony organised an amazing private street food tour with tour guide Henry taking us to eat with locals – wow! What delicious food and so many choices! Our trip finished with a 2 day cruise in Halong Bay including kayaking and exploring a sea cave. In conclusion, our trip would not have been nearly as enjoyable and relaxing without Tony’s commitment to quality and his continual working in the background checking to make sure everything was going according to plan. The tour guides Tony organised were all first rate. The hotels were all really well located and included extensive breakfast selections. Every pick-up was punctual and we always felt safe and confident with the drivers in what are very busy chaotic roads. I highly recommend Tony and his travel agency to you.

Tony is a super helpful guy & provide excellent services with big smile!
Whenever I have any friends or ownself trip to Hanoi or Halong Bay,
he will always be the guy I look for because of his excellent service!
I remembered once he helped me to solve my problem with the dishonest coffee shop.
This isn't much his duty but he did help me without any complaint : )
I will continue to support Tony & his team if I know any friends going to Hanoi/Halong Bay!
