I've traveled all the way from Sweden to Poland (via Denmark and Germany) using public transport once. But my trip didn't start from the same city where the direct bus stopped, so I had to start my trip with different bus companies before I could take the bus of Sindbad, which then took me to Poland. First I took a bus of Västtrafik towards Älvsered, once I arrived in Älvsered, I had to continue my trip with Hallandstrafiken. The direct bus of Sindbad to Poland stopped in Halmstad, so that was where I needed to get. Before I was going to use the public transport of Hallandstrafiken, I prepared myself and checked all their public transport connections.
Between Gothenburg and Copenhagen there are trains called Öresundståg, some of these trains go directly between Gothenburg and Copenhagen. Sometimes bus companies have problems with some dishonest passengers that either pay less for themselves than how much they have to pay, or they even travel for free in spite of that they're not allowed to do so. Because of this there are train attendants in their trains, and sometimes they also check the buses to detect dishonest passengers that cheat when buying tickets or travel for free when they're not allowed to do so. But bus companies might have different tricks against dishonest passengers. When I took the bus from Älvsered to Falkenberg, I was about to take the train to Halmstad once I arrived in Falkenberg, all trains going on that route are Öresundståg, unless the train company SJ have their speed trains there. The problem was that I don't know anything about dishonest passengers in Öresundståg trains between Gothenburg and Copenhagen, maybe Hallandstrafiken could have special tickets for Öresundståg and not the same as those usual ones, there are different tricks bus companies can use to prevent dishonest passengers from illegal traveling. When I bought the ticket in that bus that I had to take from Älvsered to Falkenberg in order to take the train to Halmstad after arriving in Falkenberg, I asked the bus driver whether the ticket also is valid for Öresundståg, or not. He said that the ticket is valid, and when I took the train from Falkenberg to Halmstad, the train attendant came and accepted my ticket when she checked it.
Once I arrived in Halmstad, I had to use another public transport vehicle once again. The train stopped in the centre of Halmstad, right at the central station. However, the bus of Sindbad didn't stop right there but at Eurostop in Halmstad. Taking the city bus from centre to Eurostop in Halmstad, this trip took 10-15 minutes. Due to the fact that I was in Halmstad rarely, I had problems to find the nearest bus stop, from which that city bus was going. Fortunately there were many buses on that route going every tenth minute on that bus line, so once I missed one bus, I did not have to wait long till the next bus arrived.
Speaking of all of my buying experience with Hallandstrafiken, their staff gave me a good service. The bus driver selling that ticket to me in Älvsered has also answered my questions, and when I was going to take the train from Falkenberg to Halmstad, the ticket control went fine for me as well, just like it should (sometimes bus companies' staff give their passengers wrong information, and I happened to encounter one of those cases once with Västtrafik's staff). When we buy tickets from a bus company and have questions to ask, it shall not matter at all whether we call customer service and ask, or if we ask a train driver, a train attendant, a bus driver or anyone else working for the bus company that we're talking about. Everyone working for the same bus company has to know the rules of the bus company, because of this it should always be like that it's completely obvious that we have to be able to trust the answer we get on our questions, no matter who answers our questions. Unfortunately it's not always being this way, but this is the way it went for me with Hallandstrafiken. The ticket was cheap, the staff of Hallandstrafiken served me good with the buses and the train of Öresundståg, I got a good buying experience with Hallandstrafiken. If I would need to use Hallandstrafiken's vehicles once again someday, I would be glad to come back to Hallandstrafiken again.
