We were very satisfied with the replacement door flaps that I ordered. The only problem was that the flaps were not labeled, and apparently needed to go one on the outside and one on the inside. My husband finally noticed where the magnets needed to match up, but a label on the flaps would have saved him some time.

I ordered 2 doors from Hale. From the online ordering, to my questions on the phone when I called, and all the way through the end when I had to call back with questions, these guys were professional, friendly, and responsive. I wish all companies were as good to work with as Hale. And honestly I am hard to please.

The doors have been perfect and you can tell they are FAR FAR above the doors I had been used to (formerly purchased whatever was available at a local Pet Supply chain). There quality is worth paying a bit more.

And I sincerely love and appreciate their Shelter Adoption donation program. Dog rescue is so near and dear to my heart and they made it easy to 1). get something I needed while at the same time 2) making a donation to our location Human Society. They don't have to do that but you can tell they do it for the same beliefs as I have.

Thank you very much for 100% pleasant experience. I will never buy another pet door from anyone else.

We love our Hale door, We have the ex large or Giant, My husband & I live in Oakdale, Pennsylvania. We have had a Hale thru the Wall Hale door since 2/2004. My husband followed the install directions and our two large black Labradors Cleo & Pippin, have used it ever since as well as our house cats Baby cat & Stanley who is adopted whom is 3 legged. We just replaced the door flaps this January 2016 because of wear and getting air leakage. 12 years since original install, It has been well worth the investment.! We hope this product stays around lots longer. We are going to introduce a new puppy this spring. So we hope to get another 12 years.

Love, love, love this door. I've had it for 15 years and have just replaced the flap. The door sees quite a bit of traffic so I was so pleased that it has held up well over the years. I had to order a custom size to fit a pane on a french door. Customer Service is excellent and it was very easy to order. When the replacement flap arrived, though, it was longer than it should have been which was a disappointment since I was measuring the actual flap to be replaced. Additionally, the installation is SO MUCH harder than it needs to be. In the end, I had to hire a handyman to install it and it took him over an hour! The product is excellent, the installation process needs attention. Had it been easier to install I would have given 5 stars.

Positives: Arrived promptly. Well packaged. All necessary parts included.Very good quality.

Negatives: The provided instructions were for general installation, rather than specific to flap replacement. But, I found a good YouTube video.
Expensive.

I ordered my dog door a year ago, It promptly arrived and recently I notice my dogs had somehow lost a couple of magnets. Upon contacting customer service they promptly sent me replacement magnets at no charge. I would definitely recommend Hale Pet Door to others.

Well conceived and constructed, I've been using Hale dog doors for over 20 years for the homes I've lived in. Most of the time when I sell the home, the buyers are thrilled when they see such a well made, energy efficient, dog door. Most dog door manufacturers products are not even in the same universe when it comes to quality. I've shopped them all, and I always come back to a Hale pet door.

Had to get replacement doors for existing unit we had installed for previous dog as we took in a rescue dog. Shipping was fast and instillation was somewhat easy (not totally simple, but given the design and that this was a retrofit I am not sure how this could have been easier.). Part of the order did not ship in error, but that was rectified quickly and with little hassle.

You want the Best you pay for the best - had a previous one for 5+ years nothing done to it worked perfect - so I bought the same thing for the new home - this one is not like the others its more like the energizer bunny it keeps going and going - would recommend if you want no fuss no muss

Not only does Hale produce a durable dog door, they have really responsive customer service. They also donate a portion of your purchase price to the shelter or foster organization you adopted your dog from.

Never thought I wanted/needed a pet door but with four little kittens who need to stay warm in the garage and an alarm system that only works with all doors closed, it became a necessity. I search online to find one and I couldn't be happier with the quality and ease of installation. My kittens learned to use it within minutes! It's been perfect! Quality is great! Instructions were easy to follow with helpful photos and illustratioins. You even included tips for teaching pets to use it.

We had some issues getting our door installed and the wonderful customer service team was so awesome! The door is now installed and the dogs are loving it :)

My original Hale Pet Door was installed more than 15 years ago and has been worth every penny. Great quality and has stood up to the test of multiple dogs. An over zealous puppy, not thrilled at being locked outside damaged the outside flap so the recent purchase was replacement flaps. Same great quality and they came with new weatherstripping and magnets that make the door look like new. The door closes tightly and very effectively keeps out the cold and elements. Based on alternatives I have seen over the years, I know I made the best choice! Recommend this company and product without any reservations.

I called Customer Service to make sure I was ordering the correct part for my Hale pet door and to see if there was another option for shipping since the shipping cost was as much as the item I was purchasing. The Customer Service Representative was helpful and understanding. She described the part I was purchasing. I asked for a modification (I didn't want the slats cut in a training door flap) and she said she thought that was possible. On top of that she was able to reduce the shipping costs. I received the training flaps in a few days after the call and the install went great! My kitty is now using the door as designed! Thank you HALE.

We have a custom dog door made by Hale. It has worked great for 13 years. Recently we needed to replace the flaps. We contacted Hale, and they sent the correct parts out right away. Looking forward to another 13 years!

The young lady that took my order was very helpful. But, when I received my doggie door, it not only was the wrong color, the screw package & instruction booklet were not included! When I called to complain, I was offered the opportunity to return the unit & they would send the correct one. But, as I had already waited a week, I opted to keep the unit. The screw kit & booklet were mailed and received in 2 days. I had the door installed by a professional and was told it was the best unit he had ever installed. I did receive an e-mail that addressed the mistake and was credited a % off my bill and credited the shipping and handling fee. I am VERY happy with the end result and so are my babies! Woof-Woof!!!

We ordered the x-large plus pet door, and were very pleased that It arrived 3 days later. The packaging was easy to open and the instructions to install were so simple to understand. The door is made from high quality materials and is extremely durable. We are so happy with this purchase.

Hale Pet Door may have the best customer service of any company with which I have dealt. Someone always answers the phone, the find an answer and if there is a problem with a product, it is replaced, no questions asked. I have used their doors in two houses, and will continue to do so.

I am building a home and will have three pet doors. I found the person I spoke with on the phone to be very helpful, knowledgeable. Further, Hale Pet Door has a policy of donating a sizable amount of the purchase price to pet rescue. So, two rescue groups in Missouri received funds in honor of my two Missouri rescue Boston Terriers. Lovely.

The doors arrived packaged very well and are in storage awaiting installation.

I wanted the sturdiest pet screen door out there, since my dogs don't always go through the opening calmly. I had to order the universal door, since my 1979 andersen screen door did not seem to fit the parameters of their clamshell model. The construction of the door is amazingly hefty and inspires confidence. When I realized that the door had been shipped without the necessary clips, one call to Hale put them in the mail immediately.
That said, the pictures and instructions for it leave a LOT to be desired. I had two tool and construction-wise family members puzzling over the proper application of the clips. Some black and white drawings with arrows would be preferable to the inconclusive photos!
It might also be nice to have an option for a screen flap, instead of the heavy plastic all-purpose flap. Since my dogs were used to just pushing through the screen (they had made their OWN flap previously) they were daunted by the heavy plastic flap and we had to remove it and make our own screen flap. This of course is not as nice as a professional one.
All in all, it looks nice now that it is installed with new screens and the pain of installation is behind us.

This is my second in wall Hale pet door. The first was for my two beautiful Beagles, Benny and Clyde. They both past away recently. We were not going to get another dog as the grieving has been so hard. But we found a stray and he has been back to the shelter 4 times so we decided to keep him. He's huge so I needed a bigger door.
