Mom and I went to Hair Club San Antonio and did a consultation. Every all the before/after pictures and showing us the system we thought that it was a great product. We decided to sign the contract and pay $6K. One week after that I went to my first consultation and got the Xtrands done, that's where the nightmare began. After all the Xtrands where put one the stylist put hair fiber on my head. I found it to be humiliating because is a last resort cheap method of "hair grow". I went and spoke the the GM and told him I didn't like the job they did on me and that I wanted to cancel my membership. He gave me the usual "blah blah" that they build on them, it's my first time there "blah blah". I decide to believe him and went home, took a shower to remove the humiliating hair fibers and the Xtrands began to fall.
Next day I called GM and told him the they are falling that I'm NOT happy and I want my money back. I told him that I'm paying for premium high grade products and that I'm getting dollar store products. Yet again he gives me same BS about how they build on them and how I'm going to love them etc. That day I went to the pool and saw them floating on the water.
Second day that I called GM, I told him that I want to cancel EVERYTHING and he then tells me how Hair Club offer more options on hair treatment and I again told him NO that I don't trust the company and all I want is a refund. Then he said that he wanted to talk to me in person and we set an appointment, which seemed appropriate to me.
The day of the appointment he offers me a product (which for the sake of conversation I will refer as "the wig"). He tells me that he wears a wig himself (like I didn't notice) and that he would want me to try that for me. I told him no that I want to cancel mom's and my membership and want my money back. He told me that he needs to talk to corporate about the refund but he really wants to put a wig on me. He told me to touch his hair and "feel" how natural it is. I refused, I told him I didn't want to touch his hair. He told me again to do it and I refused again. Then he grabs my hand and puts it on his wig... I'm speechless and MAD but I don't want to cause a scene because I still want my money.
After refusing his wig solution and apparently he doesn't understand the meaning of the word "no". He took me to another office and I got measured for the wig.
Next morning I called him right when they opened and he is busy so he couldn't pick up. Next day I called him again and he's busy and can't talk to me. Two more days calling and he's too busy for me. Then he decides to call me and I told him that I don't want the wig or ANY other options that he has for me and he told me that the wig has already been ordered.
I showed up the day of the appointment and he told me if I was excited about the new treatment and of course I told him no. I told him AGAIN that I received a low quality product and wanted my refund. How can I expect good quality product after the Xtrands? Then he just left the office and sent the sales person to escort me out.
I called many times and tried to get in touch with GM, every time he was busy and I would just leave a voicemail. All this happened in August/September and now is October and I was finally able to speak to someone. I was able to get ahold of Assistant Manager and explain the situation. She told me that GM has been out and that my sales person would call me the next day.
I spoke to the Sales Person and explained to her why I want to cancel. I am paying for a premium thousand dollar service and I received a $50 treatment. How I don't want to take the way overpriced vitamins and how I don't want the Made In China overpriced shampoo. Again she can't make any decisions but will talk to GM about it.
Mom and I took the decision to go to Hair Club because of the great reviews and 40 years of experience that you have. It all has been a nightmare Now I'm stressing out everyday about the $6K that are just stuck in the company. I don't want any products or services I just want a refund and get on with my life. Is stressful that because we miss the 3-day window you are unable to provide a refund. How can we cancel in 3 days if we haven't got the service? We went there being confident that we were going to be taken care of with quality products. I got the Xtrands and that same day I wanted to cancel.
This is the current situation, I'm a reasonable man and I want what is fair. I did have a session and I did take the products home. I want the remaining money back. Charge me the products I used, that is perfectly fine. I know that if GM ever decides to call me he's going to go with the 3-day contract cancelation window.

I have been a client of Hair Club Elmwood Park NJ for around 4 years. I have xstrands. My experience has been wonderful. The staff at the front desk are pleasant, friendly, and they are professional. The stylists are fantastic. Betsy is the best! She does my xstrands. My hair always looks great. She also does my color. If she is not available Claudette does my color. These women are great at what they do. All the stylists are very friendly. I feel confident and dont worry about my thinning hair because the xstrands make my hair fuller. I would definitely recommend this hair salon for people with thinning hair. It is pricey but I feel its so worth it.

I'm writing regarding a hairclub employees that has always consistently gone above and beyond for me. Mary Kowal, besides always making sure I am completely satisfied and happy with my results every time. I always leave smiling after Mary has worked her magic. At this point, I will only let Mary cut my hair because she always makes it perfect! If.Mary left I don't know what I would do! Kudos to hairclub in realizing what a quality employee they have in Mary. I am going on my 30th year at hairclub and have never been more satisfied! If you want to keep my business make sure Mary is always in Farmington ct. office doing her regular phenomenal job! Thanks again Mary! You are the best!!

I have been with Hair Club for almost a year now. While the staff at Hair Club Burnaby are great, the product is not. Essentially the hair is fastened to the scalp with tape and a polymer glue. It is supposed to last a month, I never got more that a week before it let go. They do a good job matching your hair but it never really looks natural. The cost is high and the products you need to maintain the hair are very expensive. There is only one Hair Club in BC so for those who don't live in the Vancouver area it can get real expensive to travel for the salon visits. While HC claims you can do everything including sports with there product this is not true. There is no way you can play hockey or football anything with a helmet and were you would perspire lots, the glue and tape simply will not hold. One more thing these hair pieces lose a tremendous amount of hair. They are supposed to last two months but in my experience they are good for about 5 weeks max. Until they come up with a better product I can't remain a client. Buyer beware.

Thank you to the hole staff at Hair Club Denver Colorado. I have been a client for over three and a half years. I never thought that this service could make as big of a difference as it has. I feel better about how I look and feel. I would not have thought just getting my hair back could do that. I have a New piece that was placed on Me, Sept 5th 2019 in. Massachusetts. The Hairdresser's @ Plymouth location are Gr8 but the Product is Weak ! The Shampoo (Moisture) the Quench Rinse, The Detangler, The Conditioner (Moisture) Leave my Hair-Piece w Tangle's, Knots & Snarl's. The hair "Falls"out over your Body let alone your Clothes. My floor has Hair everywhere, Oh my, how could I forget The Reconstructor which makes it even more Brittle.
The Polymer Glue they use, last 2-3 days and the front lifts up, Glue over my Forehead and in the Hair and then either The Piece moves when I'm Sleeping or it Shrinks? I've been told they have 8 different Glues but they always seem to do the same one. Like I said, after 2 to 3 days especially after a washing.
I went 1st to Woburn office in February/March, did not come in for almost 3 months, The Credit Company (Commenity Bank) looking for a Payment. I tell the person what is going, they tell me they have nothing to do with it, you need to speak w Hair-Club
I finally got the Piece, but the Hairdresser was in a Rush, but was not her fault, it took me over 2 hours in Bumper to bumper traffic going thru Boston on a Rainy day no less and only should taken 50-60 minutes to get there but Rush hour traffic is a nightmare.
1st prior to my Piece, I was told They *Fuse* the Hair in w your Hair because I only needed Body and cover up some receding in the front and it turned out to be a Wig that they Glue to your Head.
Pieces look Beautiful @ 1st but for longevity forget it, Since the 5th, I have washed my Hair 4 times now, last was yesterday the 16th. My hair is already Very Dry / I only use their Maxxam products, each time there is more and more Breakage, Falling out, Knots, tangle's This does Not feel like Real *Human hair that come's from India then sent to China/Korea and being Vegan is Upsetting me More n More / Boy, did I let my Guard down :(

So this Piece is Not the Piece that was Ordered for me a couple of Months ago, this current piece is One that came from another branch. This is the 2nd one that was Not meant for Me. My 1st piece became so knotted and the ribbon in the back came undone, The 2nd piece, I was told was only made to last a month? OMG did that Hair fall out, Whew I saved the cap for proof, People were like What happened to your Hair. i had to pry it off my head, the Glue sucks at sticking to your skin, but Not at your Own hair. That was painful. Now on my 3rd piece, Looks nice @ 1st but now its Shedding just like rest. I have 2 more Pieces w 7-8 months left on my Contract that your Basically forced to sign! Unsure how 2 more Pieces will last until my contract end with the rate I'm going?

I have been a customer for almost 3 years now, the first two years were amazing my stylist (who is not longer with the company) was beyond amazing, she was very informative and made me feel comfortable with wearing a wig. I am very private person i don`t share a lot of my problems with anyone, she knew I`m a nurse and how insecure i felt with not having a full head of hair. I started loosing my hair at 14 years of age and couldn't afford most treatments out there, i came across the add for Hair club. I went in for the consult and the staff was amazing. I now came to know that i cant have the hair that i want, because if its not brown or black it wont last past a month!!! I always had black hair and i always wanted to have blonde hair something that hear in Hair club i cant have. I went through the process of being humiliated at work with a big chunk of the center of my wig fell out and all you saw was a white patch of hair! i called them and they said they dont know what happened but its because i wanted a color on my hair. I started to cry because the add says have the hair you always wanted but that is not the case. I went back they gave me someone elses hair that only lasted a month and the same thing happened, i document everything dates and with who i talk to.
I have the Ruby plan because paying $539 a month for something i wasn't satisfied didnt seem worth it, the ruby plan brought me down to $339 monthly. Given that fair is fair my stylist do a good job at putting a band aid over what management does. I had gone in on August and advised the stylist and their manager as well as the clubs manager that given my birthday is in December and i get my new hair in November i wanted a blonde hair, i took really good care of the wig i was already wearing for it to be my back up given there track record with the colored wigs! The day before my appointment i was messaged by the Manager asking if i wanted to come in earlier given i live an 1 1/2 hours of there location, i agreed but i then went to ask about my hair since im anxious when i get a new peice , she tells me im getting brown becausse they decided to order my blonde wig in the middle of October and it takes 6-8 weeks to receive! i asked how is that possible when i asked in august for my new hair to be blonde her response was well you said its for December so we didn't order it, but i dont get new hair until February 2020? her response to that was sorry i dont know what else to tell you.. i was speechless/ upset etc. I can expect just about anything from this place but when i went to my appointment my stylist was aware of the situation knew i was upset, and she tried so hard to get me to be positive. She washed my hair(or lack of my own hair) put the new piece and cut it and styled it, she did an amazing job but i couldn't help to burst in tears as this wasn't what i wanted.
I got in my car called the coorporate number, hint i wasnt expecting to get anyone, i left a voicemail i was crying of how stressed i am with them. The guy calls me hears my story and tells me they will call me back in an hour (never happened) i got a call maybe 5-6 hours later he heard my story and said well he will see what he can do and call me back later on in the day it is now Monday and i haven't heard. I wanted my new hair the color i wanted for all these events i have coming up i dont have time to drive 3 hours to and back to fix something that should of never happened! I pay for these services its not free i dont appreciate the additional emotional stress this is causing me! I already sought my attorney in this matter, to see if there is anything he can help me.

Overall I have been very happy with my hair in the past. I have been a customer for 25 years. Over the past 6 months they have switched products to MAXAM shampoo and conditioner. Whatever you do. Do not use these products they completely destroy the system. The package i pay for includes this product at no additional cost (Bad Deal) Until they changed products I was happy. Where is the quality control???????????

My husband and I were clients at hair club. We went to the charlotte locations at the beginning we were told that our hair was going to grow back and evidently it was a big lie. After two months of treatment we started going to the winston salem NC location were we completed the treatments. We did not see any results at all after all treatments. This is a waist of money and effort. I wish I had read some reviews before going there. I’m very disappointed with the results. We lost more hair with the treatments

I have been a member of hair club for several years now and for the past year I have been totally disappointed with the maxxam products.
We spend all this money on systems only to have all the moisture stripped away by the so called new and improved products. Which as a result end up ripping the hair out because you can't gat a brush through it, it is so dry!
I am also thinking that synthetic hair is starting to creep into the matrix. I hope when I get my hair tested I'm wrong, otherwise, I will be taking my well earned dollars elsewhere

Well Corporate was Not Happy w my Post @ 09/17. Company Rep *Chase wanted Me to call him, I did. He said I'll get bvack toi you with-in an hour, 3 days goes by, and the Plymouth Ma location called Me because My *New Hair just happened to come in. Oh wow, did not see that coming because on Sept 5th, I was told I only had 1 Piece left.
Okay, went in on Friday, the 27th. I should've just ended it right there, but I let My Guard down Once again.
When the Manager *Brandy brought out the piece, the hair had a almost Pink tint, I said that's Not my hair? Oh yeah that's what you picked out ???? I Like *Strawberry Blonde but I've been told that Blonde hair is Overly proceeded and it doesn't last long, 1st 2 Pieces were on the Blonde side, where-as I told em, I like Strawberry Blonde even more of a Darker Red hair. So Brandy darken the Hair a bit, says to Me ~ Oh I'm So Glad You decided to Stay w the Company, I said I didn't, I told you I'm going to try it One more time, I'm Not a Quitter and Please ~ I am Not unhappy w You: Ladies (Brandy & Angel) ) it's The Product.
Oh Okay; So She preps my Hair, Colors it to match the New piece Style's the new piece, try's to take out the Pink tint, Cut's it down a Little, but I I said it's kinda short, well your Hair isn't that Long to Blend with, I said it was but the other Hairdresser said to me a couple of Months back, Oh do You want Me to Cut your Hair. so it blends in with this piece. I said Okay, I guess.
I am 59 yrs old, it doesn't t Grow back as fast, like when your younger.

Those Ad's you see on TV from Hair-Club make you think they're the Best but They're Paid Actors and Paid very well, they're employees never Leave, their incentives and benefits are Amazing.
Again, let me remind you. Hair comes from India sent to China / Korea, then Processed, Stripped of Color, then Pieced-in to the Molds that are really a Wig cap and being *Vegan, China is Not Animal testing free. I was Unaware of this prior to Me signing my Name on the dotted line :(
This New Piece of Hair is So Flat, Like it hasn't been washed in a week. I just got it, less than 24 hours ago, I had people staring @ me, Friends saying, JoAnne-Marie what Happened to your Hair, This piece has No Body, No Fluff, very Lame let alone too Short for my Frame of Face. I Need Big Hair *Volume not Flat-hair like Jan Brady. I've called Commenity bank before, they're the Bank that Hair-Club uses for Clients that need Financing. I happen to be in Good w Commenity, so I was approved instantly @ $3600.00 @ $300 a month w No interest if paid with-in that 1st year.
Hair-Club has already been paid, Commenity said to Me *We're Sorry, but You have to deal w Hair-Club.
Leaving *JoAnne-Marie with Bad Hair & Now forced to Pay for Something that was a Friccin' Waste of Time & Money. Oh wait, I do have Lots of Hair in my place from those 3 other Pieces that Shedded or the Hair fell out and or Pulled out by the Brush Comb.
The Tangles * Knots etc. I would get , Hair flowing over your Clothes and or Body if your Not dressed. Everything would be Flowing smoothly and a half hour later, Try and Comb with a Wide tooth Comb and have more Tangles/Knots/Snarl's like It was never Combed or Brushed to begin with. You would Not believe the amount of Hair that comes out. I have a Hair-Piece that I kept, I had to unglue from my Scalp because it looked liked a Cap on your Head with Strands of Hair, something a cap, when a hairdresser is pulling hair from under/through when doing highlights *Freaky, like I had a Disease / Let alone the Stares "Not Good" and to Think, I'm paying for this?
So Corporate ~ I am Very Dissatisfied and Not a Happy Camper.
Yes I Defiantly Want a Refund! Very tempted to File a Law-suit especially that my own has Diminished quite a Bit due to your Glued-on Cap that does Not let you Own hair Breathe. I had Thinning hair, but it was much more fuller than what is now. 5 months and Lifeless Doll's Hair / Should have listed to that Google review that said "You're Gonna be Sorry" They look So nice when they're placed on your head, Never knowing that their are significant Consequences that will Follow!
btw People ~ If You own a Convertible or if have You a receding hair-line. The Polymer-adhesive/Fusion excuse Me will become undone and the Glue will begin to separate and it will look like, You tried to Glue a Wig on your Head,
Doesn't come out of Hair that well, expect it, to Tear @ your own Hair *Ouch

My Mom went to the one in Madison Mississippi. The hairdressers were good but the Center Manager was a nightmare! Was a waste of money. I could have been told that I was to far gone at the beginning instead of the end. At the last treatment the computer was shut down, no pictures were taken. Could not wait to get me out the door. Pictures were taken three times during the year. I spent $3,525.65 and did not get my hair back. Extra $850.00 for a laser Helment. Don't waste your money! Out of products a lot. Was told I would get it at the end. Still waiting on them to be mailed.

I have been going to the location of Orchard and I-25 in Denver. Since I started close to a couple years ago, the communication has been poor. My hair is often ordered wrong, and recently, there’s been several stylists leaving due to management and how they’ve been treated. My stylist left and she was wonderful! I’m now with the main stylist eveyone sees as a new client. In my opinion she is extremely over-worked and taken advantage of by management as well.
My hair is very important to me since I have very little of my natural hair left.

My story started in August of 2018 when I showed photos of a friend of mine who wears a hair system. Paid over 500.00 deposit and waited until almost thanksgiving only to have a piece applied to my head that literally looked like a bad Don King wig. After another ‘system’ with nothing but issues and yet another one. This time when I woke up in the morning it looked like an Ann Bancroft wig. By the beginning of February 2019 I’d just had more than enough. I went in had them remove it and told them I wanted out of their rotation. We didn’t want to set up up to fail is exactly what they said. Also denied ever seeing my original photos or even knowing my friend. Nothing like when I’d started when they said “ o is that - ——. Complete sham. Refusing to refund even a dime. They’re very kind to your face and pretend to be looking out for you. STAY AWAY, I’ve reported them to the Better Buisness B. Run as fast as you can. I went home. Buzzed all my remaining hair off. Wore hats for a couple of months. And btw I was wearing a hat even with their system aka Chinese wig.

Please due your own research and stay away from this place. Find someone local to order and cut your system and learn to easily do your own attachments. I spend about 1000 per year on 2 units plus all my accessories and both cut ins. STOP letting HCM lie to you. Hair systems today look really good and are so easy to learn. Go to some of the sites that sell them and look on there message boards for local stylists around your area to cut in your piece N
and help with your order. HCM is not only overpriced but has crappy systems compared to what you could be wearing.

My father and I both had hair thinning in the front top of our heads but not completely bald. We sat down with someone we felt would be taking this journey with us.... from the way they spoke.
But this is where it becomes like a car dealership very quickly.
The person you meet with is like a car salesmen, tell you everything you want to hear, provide information and positive vibes until you sign.They now have your money.
We were offered the program for 3000 dollars roughly not including a 1000 dollar lazer helmet. We split the cost of that, and decided to give this a chance.
This is where it turns into a glorified salon. You come back once a month, they give you a bag of shampoo, conditioner, some hair cleanser and minoxidil along with vitamins. I didn't waste any time, I did everything they asked right on the money including long showers to get everything done with the products.
Upon returning to HC I never met with the salesmen again. I was handed off to the same hair technician which is a glorified hair dresser. None of their computer systems worked, issues each time they tried to take pictures, or do anything computer wise.
I was told to download the HC app which never worked 80% of the time for appointments. Questions were always dodged when I returned about my hair progress, nothing was explained more than surface value. I'd say fake compliments about how the progress was going with each visit. Even though I paid a ton for the package they would try to sell me side products saying they were better than what I had already.
My hair became darker, not as dried out and perhaps healthier but here I'am with 1 month left, 3500 dollars in the hole not to mention travel expenses since I live 3 hrs away...and my hair is still thin as the day I walked in just a shade darker.
My father ended up quitting when we had 3 months left, he didn't believe it was worth the drive. When I mentioned I would be done next month and moving on I was encouraged to resign up for another year. (Of course)
Bottom line is there is a reason they don't guarantee your money back. Once they have your money, and figure you believe in it....the service goes to pieces. Also for 300-400 a year you probably could find most of these products online. I looked up some of them, such as the vitamins which were 20 bucks a bottle.
If hair club refunded half my money, I'd be happy with what I got but I'll never see that. Thanks for a lesson well learned.

I have been a client with Hair Club for almost a year and this has been terrible experience. My hair looks so much worse now than when I started. I have always had thin hair but at least it looked healthy. After 10 months with Hair Club my hair became so thin and stringy that I have now invested even more money to get hair extensions just so that I do not have to feel self conscience about my hair. The customer service is absolutely horrible. You send an email or try to call and no one gets back to you...if they do it is days later. You ask questions and they are never answered. You are promised things which you never receive. I am currently in the process of trying to cancel with them and of course no one is getting back to me and I am just being ignored. They should ashamed of themselves for the way they treat people. This is nothing but a money grab and I strongly suggest that no one goes here for treatment. I truly wish that I had done my research before starting here as I am now out almost $4,000 and my hair looks terrible. I normally never write reviews and would never want to bash a company but I truly just want to warn people. Please do not go to Hair Club!!!

Is been 1.5 years since I started at Ann Arbor MI hair club. Most of my guy friends are 10-20 years younger than me. They all still have hair. Mine was receding rapidly. We are all bodybuilders together and i am the biggest and strongest. Also the baldest. I know i can't have my youth back but i looked 10 years younger before, now i look 20 years younger with hair. Not my opinion, others can't tell I am 62. I love styling it, looking at it and the feel of it. Can't be described how much more confidence I have. The whole crew at the Ann Arbor club are awesome. Kelly is my wonder woman. Love it!

Just posting incase someone reads this from corporate.
The change in the new Maxxam products are Beyond terrible.
Hair looks and feels worse and honestly thinking of cancelling for this reason alone. Going to be a tough decision but can't believe after 15 years a product formula change might be the reason I take it off.
Confusing labels, new formulas, discontinued old formulas, smaller bottles and mist release vs spray is just the beginning.
New moisturizer takes the tape right off in the shower and new spray gel has no wet look and seemingly no difference in formula between the mens and womens. Also many products now have Alcohol when they did not before.
