I Purchased the Uniden SDS200 from Zip Scanners last weak. I am giving Zip Scanners 4 Star’s. I did not give them 5 stars because The customer service representative that answered the phone and helped me a few times before and after the sale didn’t go extremely well. I decided to send an email to Garrett to let him know I was not extremely happy with the Customer Service of one of his employees. Garrett called me right after receiving the email. He definitely made up for the problem. I am extremely amazed at the Customer Service he gave me and apologized for the situation. The radio was shipped extremely fast and it arrived packed very well. The radio was absolutely awesome. I couldn’t say enough good things about the Uniden SDS200. There has been some talk on the quality of the sound of the SDS200. I will tell you the quality of the sound is amazing. It sounds great on P25 II trunking and analog conventional. I would highly recommend Zip Scanners to anyone wanting a Scanner. I will be purchasing from them again. I probably Will be purchasing a SDS100 very soon.

The helpful help and pleasant talk stops the day you receive your scanner. I do not receive local conversation and explained that what I want to listen to is encrypted as listed by our county radio. All I get is an argument of all the channels I can receive and how the scanner is one touch start up. And yes, they wonder why I no longer answer their calls?? If more time was spent on my return request instead of attempting to disprove my claim and making a fool out of me I would not have such a bad opinion. I never claimed to be an electronics expert. The worst $770. I ever waisted. Do yourself a favor and support your local business where you can talk to and see in person. If there are no local sales as in your area, there is a reason. Because the scanner wont pick up any talk! If there is a response, I am quite sure everything is my fault.

Promised my scanner would work here in my location.... it didn't/ doesn't. After back and forth trying to rectify I find out our County is encrypted (although zip scanners doesn't believe it). ask for refund, but they said it was past their return period (even though we've been trying to make it work for a period of time) Next I'll review on Google, yahoo, and everywhere else. I'll keep the worthless (to me) scanner, you keep my money. I'll let everyone know though!

I can't thank ZIPSCANNERS enough, My scanner TXR1 came 3 dayz after I ordered it from their site, I had them program it . I messed up some how updating the library scanner was dead, I called and talked to Jessie (customer support), Very easy to talk to. It was my fault the SDCard got erased, I called ZIP and Jessie sent a new programed SDcard was sent with no charge, Thanx ZIP and crew!
I don't think Amazon Prime couldn't of got to my door faster. than the Team at ZIPSCANNERS! If any body is wanting to buy a scanner there is no other place to purchase one! Once again to Jessie and Joey. just want to tell how again,THAN YOU VERY MUCH.

Nice to have scanner ready out of the box. Not everyone wants to immediately mess with the program on computer,or maybe dosnt have a windows PC. The batteries are top notch also. Good charger tells you when batteries are charged. Factory cable is a bit flimsy,but not to big of a issue getting a more sturdy one. The package you get from this company is convianant and they have researched and worked put all the accessories that work best. If your looking for a ready to go out of the box setup,this company has you covered.

From our first phone call to actually receiving our product, we are very happy to say that Zip Scanners are extremely helpful. We ordered the Whistler TRX2 Police Scanner and had all the necessary information loaded onto the scanner so that when we received it we just had to plug it in. That was amazing.
Zip Scanners were able to answer all our questions beforehand so that we could decide which scanner was best for us. Upon receiving the Whistler TRX2 Police Scanner, we plugged it in and after a few very easy instructions, our scanner was working. We do have one minor concern, for some reason the town we live in (which is what we are interested in receiving), does not come in very well. We have tried everything but nothing seems to help.
Every other town/city is working just fine, so we assume it must be our town?? Other than that we highly recommend Zip Scanners to anyone interested in purchasing a scanner. Thank you Zip Scanner....

First time to purchase from these folks. Had a little problem with my tracking number so on their website I used CHAT, after explaining my concern I close out and waited for an answer. In short order I received an email with corrected tracking. I was amazed how fast my problem was resolved. With this in mind if ever I need anything they carry you can bet your bottom dollar this is the Company I will undoubtably do business with.

I have mixed feelings about ZipScanners. This past spring, I bought the Whistler TRX1 from them with their professional programming. It arrived in a timely manner and seems to be programmed well. In December of this year, I ordered the Uniden SDS100, again with programming. It arrived quickly, but the programming was so lousy, it barely picked up anything. And I live in a large metropolitan area (Cincinnati, Ohio)! I contacted them and they sent me another SD card with new programming, but it is no better. I’m not sure what the problem is, but if you order a Uniden SDS100 from them, you’re better off not getting their “professional programming” from them. You will be disappointed if you do!
I raised my review to four stars. After 4 attempts, the good people at ZipScanners have provided the proper programming for my scanner.

I purchased a Whistler TRX-1 and, although there is a learning curve (I am a first time scanner buyer), I had it up and running in no time--first using the set location feature (yep, it works!), and soon after also with the Whistler software for WIndows. The Windows was a little more challenging as I had to get a scanner driver to install (thanks to radioreference.com forums), but I now have this all running smoothly as well. Within 24 hours of unboxing my scanner, it has the current CPU firmware and libraries installed and I am scanning everything that I want.
So, yeah, happy to give this whole experience five stars! Thanks Zip Scanners!

This is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. They truly have no idea what they are doing and then try to tell you it's your fault. They are nothing but a scam. They do NOT know what they are doing. Stay far away from this company.

On July 25th, 2018 I placed my first order ever with Zipscanners.com.
I ordered the "Whistler TRX-2 Scanner.
Zipscanners acknowledged my order, advising me, " › We’ll email you tracking info by the end of the next business day."
Well, as of today, August 1st I have not heard from them.
Approx three days ago I called them to ask what the status of my order was, but no one answered the phone.
Instead I had to leave a voice mail asking them to call me back reference the order status.
As of this date, they have not returned my call.
I am honestly wondering if they went out of business?
I am afraid that in the future I will be ordering from SCANNERMASTER.
I never had a problem ordering anything from Scannermaster in the past. The only reason I went with Zipscanners is that I like to support new business's.
I will try calling them once more today. If I do not hear from them I will be cancelling my order and switch back to Scannermaster.
One of the worst things a company can do is ignore communications with its customers.
I am curious to know how many other people have had this same complaint with zipscanners?

Do not buy anything from zipscanners. Shipping is very slow, they never answer the phone, so don’t much support. I suggest that you buy from anyone else definitely not zipscanners.

DO NOT BUY FROM ZIP SCANNERS. THEY ARE VERY STRANGE PEOPLE TO TALK WITH. THEY WILL HOLD YOUR PRODUCT AND LIE. ONE PERSON SAID THEY SENT IT OUT. ANOTHER PERSON SAID IT WAS BEING HELD. THEY WILL LIE AND TELL YOU ONE THING AND WHEN YOU CALL THEM BACK YOU WILL BE TOLD SOMETHING ELSE. THEY WILL NOT RETURN YOUR PHONE CALLS. BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE. GOOD LUCK GETTING YOUR PRODUCT. MY FRIEND BOUGHT FROM THEM AND THEY TOOK HIS MONEY THEN STOPPED HIS ORDER. VERY BAD PLACE TO DEAL WITH. CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE. MAYBE SCANNER MASTER. OMG the knowledge these guys have, the response and patience for those of us just getting in to scanners, the speedy delivery and setting everything up so that all I had to do was basically turn it on. This helps until I acquire some skills... or not. In any event they got me going.

Just stay away their support is from overseas and I had a heck of a Time trying to communicate with a person who was supposed to help me that was a big fail also I paid the $50 extra to have my card programmed and guess what they programmed it all analog that's pretty funny I bought a digital scanner they didn't even program the county that I live in but they programmed all the other ones let's see if this review makes it to the reviews because the first one mysteriously disappeared after I left it someone told me they would call me and contact me immediately that never happened if you read the reviews all the negative ones are 100% true I have MS and I am unable to read print so I cannot program the scanner nor do I have a computer or the money to purchase the software so I basically had a paperweight so I had to take a loss and sell the $400 scanner for $200 dollars thanks for nothing zip scanners you got yours but I didn't get mine

I purchased a Whistler TRX 1 from zip scanners after programming the radio I found the P25 simulcast reception is terrible. I find that it is going to cost me $100.00 to return it. I will not purchase anything from Zip Scanners again.

Update : I now find that Zip Scanners in now trying to intimidate me to change my review by holding up my refund for 90 days of 85% of what I paid.

A+ I ordered my sds100 on Saturday morning I had a receipt emailed within 30 minutes. My package was shipped USPS that afternoon, received my package in perfect condition Tuesday. Will do business again.

Ordered a TRX-1 scanner package that came with 4 “high powered” batteries. On day two the batteries wouldn’t hold a charge. Now the scanner shuts down after two minutes after being unplugged. Emailed the company and was told to just keep it plugged in most of the time or spend more money to buy a separate stand alone charger. Keeping it plugged in all of the time defeats the purpose of selecting a portable scanner. Very disappointed in their willingness or ability to address the “high powered” batteries they sent me, which was part of a much larger dollar transaction. I could have gotten a better response buying rechargeable batteries at Best Buy.
Your web page for the package I purchased from you does not state anything about needing to purchase a separate charger. What it does state is, "Look no further...this package includes everything needed for the scanner to work right out of the box...the last thing you want to do is buy a snappy new gadget for yourself or as a gift only to have technical issues..." Apparently I do have to look further and it doesn't include everything right out of the box. The only mention of batteries on this page is to charge them before use. Which I did, through the scanner. If it is so strongly recommended then perhaps you should either include it as part of the package or note it on the sales page itself.
Interesting note to those reading this... the company went back after this was posted and changed the sales page to reflect what they incorrectly said was there before. Go to review on Facebook for screenshots of the before and after. Had this review as a two star previously. Went back and changed it to a one star after this was dealt with in such a manner. I would be cautious making a purchase here as you may be told you were informed of something only to find that they’ll change it later to cover themselves, as happened in my case.
