DO NOT BOOK WITH GATE1
I booked flights for October half term, and paid for the 'premium' service (additional cost) so that we could move or refund flights if necessary. My holiday was cancelled due to COVID, so I wanted to either refund or move. Gate1 do not answer their phone (whatever number you call) and do not respond to any emails. I tried getting a refund by my credit card company but they couldn't help.
I have wasted nearly £400 with these cowboys, do not, whatever you do, book flights with them.

I booked a flight then had to cancel within 24 hours. Not able to contact gate1 so called air Canada direct. They were fab, instant refund but this was done onto gate1 card.
I'm still waiting on emails back. Their emergency number just says 'we are not available'
Luckily I paid via credit card so they are now involved trying to complete a charge back.
I've never used gate1 and assure you never will again. If air Canada, and go2gate can respond why can't gate1...

I'm honestly baffled at how companies can behave this way. We booked to go to Japan in March which we had to cancel for obvious reasons. We informed gate1 that we needed to cancel and would like to apply for a refund. They said they would request one but it could take a few months. After that we heard nothing. We contacted them multiple times through their website and heard nothing back. They have no phone number and say that there's no point contacting them because they won't help. We eventually phoned the airline to ask what's happening and apparently the refund was never requested by gate1. The issue is that because they said they would get a refund it is difficult to get the money back through travel insurance. Gate1 should be ashamed to treat people like this.

Ok, we've had issues regarding Covid-19 and not being able to get in touch with them. That's not good, but it is also possibly not their fault as I do imagine they are being overwhelmed by current circumstances and the uncertainty around it.
So why am I only leaving a 2 star review? Well, it is because I booked new flights for a Orlando trip next May that has been cancelled for this summer (still waiting for money back on that one), and part of the booking process allowed me to choose seats for my family. We have booked with Virgin. Now Virgin allow you to book seats for free if you go direct, but we were being charged a total of £118.81 to book seats for both legs. Maybe that was a cost of going via a 3rd party. The main tickets were much cheaper than direct, so we were comfortable paying this cost.
HOWEVER, when the tickets were issued NO SEATS WERE BOOKED. I only noticed this when logging in to the Virgin and Delta apps to check and confirm the booking. Neither leg had the seats book, we were all unassigned seats. So what was the £118.81 paid for? NOTHING. The seats we requested in the booking process were still available for anyone to choose.
I have since booked the seats on the Virgin/Delta apps free of charge, and have issued a support ticket requesting a refund of the £118.81 as they clearly did not provide the service I paid for which, even given the current Covid-19 circumstances, there is no excuse for.
It is going to take an eternity for them to get back in touch with me, but I am not happy with this.
Additionally, and I'm trying to check if this is a mistake or how things are displayed, but myself and my family have had our titles (Mr, Mrs, Miss) appended to our first names in the booking on the Virgin/Delta websites. I hope this is not a mistake and is just how the names are displayed there, if not, then we will have to get the names changed. Which is even more hassle on top of everything else!

Seems like they have disappeared during the pandemic! No response to any emails sent, no phones active to call, cannot cancel / rearrange or get a credit for an upcoming flight if no one actions it. Would never book with them again.

Booked tickets with Gate1.UK for flights to US .Flights now cancelled by BA and still showing as live on Gate1 site even though cancelled 2 weeks ago. Have sent E mails asking for refund of money which according to BA is waiting contact from Gate 1 to request refund. No replies to my e mails. Will have to wait and then go through other avenues as I booked with CC. Would not use this company again.

Covid-19: Flight cancelled by Virgin. Not officially told by yourselves. Requested refund via your online contact form (no other way of getting in touch with you), send many, many messages and not one has been responded to. Not good enough, you have a lot of our money, we couldn't travel through no fault of our own and no refund! We don't want a credit note, we will not be travelling in the next 12/24 months, we just want our money back for something we couldn't do! GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS APPROPRIATELY

I understand Coronavirus has disrupted a lot of travel companies but you are not responding to a single email in the past 10 weeks since my flight was cancelled. With no email response or phone number to call this really isn't good enough. You can't just keep using Corona as an excuse to delay refunds in hope your company can keep majority of the money before you no doubt go into administration and we all lose our money

A bit of trouble changing my partner’s flight, caused I think by too many people in Holland getting involved, with no one person initially to see it through. But when we did get someone, they were excellent and the service from Gate 1 was first class. Will contact them first for my next booking.

No problems with anything, good price and easy to check itinerary.
Confirmation email a little slow in coming through but I had plenty of time so it didn’t bother me.

Very friendly customer care on the hotline, however it's very difficult to find their number. I was surprised how fast I received a refund of the ticket. Usually OTAs process it for months, with Gate1 it took only 2 weeks and they didn't take any fee for that. Minus 1 star for late ticketing. Sometimes tickets are issued after several days, not immediately like with other agencies.

I booked a flight with Gate 1.co.uk in November from Barcelona to Bangkok.
The price was very competitive and was cheaper then all the other agents. On the website it said that the tickets would be issued within 72 hours I was a little sceptical about this because of some of the reviews given by other customers.
The tickets were issued before the well within the timescale stated I was given a reference number for the airline for which I went onto and check manage my booking everything was all there I had no problem with them or the airline.
So in my experience it was straight forward and everything went as planned.
So I can only have positive things to say about them and it was hassle free
Please be aware that you check all your passengers details when booking because this can cause problems for you at some stage getting the tickets altered.
Well done Gate 1.co uk I will have no reservation in using you again or recommending you

The rating is poor as we weren’t warned that we needed ESTAs to travel through San Francisco on our way to New Zealand. This resulted in utter panic at Heathrow and urgent ESTA applications which did not come through in time to catch our flight. Clearly a common occurrence as there were several people in the same situation as us.
