True this company has closed down, but made several purchases when it was open and was very happy.

I too placed a large order at the beginning of February 2015. I received confirmation emails, also stating no money had been taken from my account! I have just checked my account and money was debited the day after the order. I have emailed the company a few weeks ago checking upon my order and delivery - no reply. I have emailed to cancel my order request a refund, what can I do if they don't??
They should not be allowed to trade, why hasn't someone stopped. Looking at all of the reviews I am not the only one.

This is a scam company. They don't deliver next day then say they will in a week, then say they are in liquidation. They have been using this method of operation since March 2015 at least, but still take orders. If you have ordered through them, get in touch with your bank as soon as possible and report the company to Action Fraud

I also received the letter re a creditors meeting in April. My understanding is that anyone who wants to claim money back from FC will need to provide details to the solicitor dealing with the company's liquidation. A claim form can be found on the gov.uk website search for "Register as a creditor in a bankruptcy or liquidation". I'm going to speak to my solicitor tomorrow and will update if I learn anymore. Hope this helps!
Update - i just wanted to let people know that i contacted my bank (halifax) about this and they have started the investigation into Furniture Countrwide. I spoke with their 'disputes' department and they have been great at helping me. They will refund the money taken within 7-10 days as long as FC cannot provide evidence that they delivered the goods which they can't because they haven't. If they lie, I will take them to the small claims court. Anyway, I just wanted to let people know that if you've paid on debit card, all might not be lost. Contact your bank and they might help you too. The more this company is investigated the better chance we have as consumers of shutting them down. Good luck!
I have been trying to contact this company and I can't get anywhere. Having read all these reviews I have initatied my bank to investigate the transaction. I hope I'm wrong and the company get in touch with me but I'm not holding much hope!

Order made on 18 November 2014, promised to be delivered within three weeks.
It's March 2015 and we are still waiting for the delivery. Phone lines "are currently out of order". Team member has replied to my emails in December saying that our delivery will be late and we can get a full refund if we wish to. I asked for a full refund, has been sending email every second day and no response. Do not trust them. I am still waiting for a refund for over £ 500.00 !!!

Hi, has anyone else who ordered from this company received a creditors letter? I ordered from this company in January but have yet to receive goods or contact from them. Today I received a letter to all creditors and do not quite understand what is going on. This company are still taking orders too.

Sadly I'm the next one ,order 13137 from 12th of november ,no any chance for contac ,refund or anything ......case is under investigation from national fraud and cyber crime also from national fraud inteligence bureau .We should do it all .:(

This company (CountryWide Furniture which is also Furniture 123) appears to only take orders and money but not fulfil any deliveries. I ordered a roller bed in early Dec 2014 and never received it. The company does not accept phone calls and does not reply to emails. I would be happy to share my order information with TrustPilot to prove that I am a genuine customer.
After posting messages on Facebook and writing by email they have "agreed" to return the money. I am waiting for the funds to be placed on the credit card.
For some reason TrustPilot says the company reported this for not being genuine. My order number and date of order is below. If there are any questions regarding the authenticity of this post, then do please get in touch with me and I will supply order documentation emails and a credit card statement to TrustPilot. But please do let me have my say.

I purchased a big chill sofa bed and have been trying to resolve the issue that it can be neither used as a chair (as slants to one side) or a bed (as dips in middle) for a 10 year old child. I have been patient and polite to no avail, my attempts to deal with customer service at countrywide futile. They referred me to the Manufacturer who advised their contact details should not have being provided to rectify this matter and they should deal with customers direct! Two weeks ago I emailed Countrywide to inform them and I'm still awaiting a reply. I intend to seek further advice from Trading Standards as other reviews state this is one very expensive Bean Bag just a pity I didn't check reviews on other websites before purchasing as countrywide surprisingly don't have any???? And it appears any negative ones are removed from this site too!!!

I have the wrong item delivered. Was ordered on 30.11.14 and delivered promptly. I can understand why a warehouse worker would load up wrong item as it is shelving with same name just a different configuration. HOWEVER...... After several phone calls all following same pattern whereby you are held in a queue told how important you are to the company and then finally told volume of calls is too high and to use online query form, I sm beginning to think there us no one ever available and answering phone. Then when you use online form with the promise of an answer within 24 hours this also doesn't happen even after several attempts.
I am left with wrong item stuck in my hall and no idea when or if I will ever get item I have paid for. Shame as it was meant as Xmas present ordered in good time.
Will never order from them again. Good up front but absolutely rubbish customer service.

I have purchased a 6 door wardrobe from Furniture Countrywide (Registered Furniture Town LTD) on the 5th of December 2014 that was never received.
The wardrobe was meant for delivery 5-6 days after the order was made and all I received was a delay email from them.
They informed me about some quality issue on 26th of December and gave me an expected dispatch day what was 05th of January.
They are very difficult to communicate with, the number on their website goes to voicemail, no phone lines are answered, no emails returned, unable to contact the seller or receive a response, the voicemail is full.
I have already made a complain against them with my card issuer, with Companies House, Insolvency Services, etc...
I am just wondering this company is still active.

Dispite numerous calls, emails an voice messages I have yet to speak to anyone regarding the progress of my order. My table was ordered over three weeks ago. The only communication I have is automated emails, like the one I just received, ironically asking me to rate their service!
To date I have not recieved any confirmation as to when I can expect delivery dispite an email a week ago telling me it was dispatched.
I would rate their customer service as very poor, but can't comment on the quality of their wares as this has yet to materialise.
Good luck to the staff though as I have a feeling they are overworked and have poor management.

I placed my order on 12/01/2015 for a desk, on 21/01/15 I received an email claiming IT problems for delays in processing my order and needing up to 3 weeks to fulfil the order. Ok. Let 3 weeks pass before enquiring by email (3 times) and phone (twice) as to the whereabouts and likelihood of delivery. I have received no response by email, and the phone line seems to be ringing in an empty basement somewhere far from human life. I have lost patience, and will be contacting my credit card for a refund if I don't get a response within 3 days. My advice? Do not touch this outfit with a bargepole.(order no. 13611)

i have ordered a 6 door and a three door wardrobe from this company on the 23rd january on the 28th i received an email saying that they have had it problems and my order would not be delivered on time i was asked to respond to this email which i did they said it would take up to three days to respond i have not heard from them again i have now cancelled this order and hope to get my money back i would not recommend this company to anyone this is the worst exprerince i have had while ordering on line

Further to my previous review, I'm now almost positive this company is not legitimate or is having financial problems. We have still not received our sofa ordered at the beginning of November. It did not turn up on the day it was due to be delivered (mid Dec) and we are unable to get through to anyone from the company. The order was cancelled in mid December but we've still not heard from the company of had our money back!

Sofa ordered 30th of October. Contacted them the following day to confirm delivery for sometime in December and ideally the week before Christmas. I was advised I would be contacted in December to arrange a delivery date. I then spent most of December trying to contact them by phone, email and their website enquiry form but nothing. I then receive an email on the 24th explaining that a delivery was attempted. Complete and absolute lie as the house is occupied 24/7 as there have been builders working at the house. Also no one actually contacted me to confirm a delivery. So I responded to their offer to deliver anytime after the 5th of Jan. I asked for the 7th of Jan and asked to confirm, again nothing since. Can't get through in anyway. Interestingly another site Homewish has the same company details and address etc but they deny all knowledge of this disgrace of a company. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE FAILURE.

I have been delivered my tables and chairs but the table top is damaged. I have been trying to get hold of their customer services department for days and no answer. Is this how they treat all of their customers once they have got their money. I am stuck with a damaged item and they have my money. They go on about their glowing reviews but they don't seem to be backing them up in my case!

I ordered some furniture last October. I was originally told the delivery would be December because the item was out of stock (fine, understood). Furniture has not been received and all attempts to contact them are futile (phones not answered, emails ignored). I will be resorting to making a claim through my credit card company (thank god I paid by credit card).
Terrible experience. Avoid!

I wont be rude or use bad language but please do not order from this company unless you want to be left disappointed and frustrated. The wardrobe turned up with 1 box missing, it took 2 weeks of chasing all day every day until I received the missing box. that box then had damaged panels in it, i phoned the telephone number constantly and they never answered, I emailed and they never answered. If i called using a different phone guess what they answered! the same person answers the phone and uses a different name every time and denies he ever spoke to you. The price and furniture is good but i recommend paying a bit more and getting decent service

The chairs I ordered & paid for in August finally arrived on Saturday (over 5 months later). I appreciate it is sometimes tricky to determine when something is going to come back in stock, & the company did offer a refund, but my frustration is with the customer service received. Nobody contacted me with updates, & when I emailed Furniture Countrywide they didn't respond. I telephoned twice & on both occasions was told they could not help me over the phone & I would have to email. The agent did agree to take a message when I said I had tried emailing. I eventually got a response when I asked how to raise a complaint. On the plus side, now the chairs have arrived I can't fault the quality & am very pleased with them.
