C.E.O. Ansar Sykes, Account manager Mieskah levy, everyone at freshstart law center are a joke. after you pay them no more communication. Irrelevant computer generated mails. No feed back. well trained call center who give you nothing!

Initially I was blown away with their promptness in responding but that changed the minute you paid the money. Mieshkah Levy just does not respond to any emails. It is impossible to phone in as your call gets cut off after 20 minutes.I have emailed Anwar Sykes to no avail. They want another R50 from me to apply for support tickets. The documents were sent by courier on the 20th September and the online portal still says they have not been received.
I am tearing my hair out!! Why did I pay the R3200 for expediting the service when they havent even started the process??
I would like to get my money returned but am fearful that this will never materialize!! DONT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! IT IS NOT WORTH THE PAIN! DON'T BELIEVE THEIR PROMISES OF EFFICIENCY AND SERVICE.

Made payment November last year. For simple marijuana possession over 10 years ago. Once money paid, communication dropped to near zero. Came twice for my finger prints and I went to cop station to assist. Impossible to get any person to give any accurate information. Only generic emails and sms sent. I have been in the same progress status for months. The only effort they make is to push for "priority clearance" which doesn't seem to help much either looking at other peoples reviews on other sites. Overall the WORST customer service experience I have ever had. DO NOT use these crooks. Speak to the cops and do it yourself. Or use a company that actually does what they say

Actually I would like to give this company no stars I can't believe the fact that the so called dedicated accounts manager did not reply to my emails on so many occasions. I tried to phone after 45 minutes of being on hold I had to hangup I sent my fingerprints to them twice already the second time now they asking for another set when I told them I'd be out the country by then. Not even a message to say we are working on it or give us a few days we'll get back to you! So after paying I can't get through to them on the phone or get a response from anyone Disgusting and unprofessional a very unpleasant experience.
Even cc"d Wayne Mcquire who is responsible for customer service. The so called dedicated accounts manager Mieshkah Levy I have actually seen many bad reviews on. This company is just not interested in helping once you have paid. Note I hate leaving bad reviews but this is a time it's necessary to.

The only thing they are persistent at is trying to sell you express service, loads of emails for that. And loads of repeated automatic updates signifying nothing. They way underestimate the time taken to provide the service and then flood you with emails offering express service. Haven't even received a response to an email sent a week ago. Online chat evidently not online either

Appalling service from Fresh Start Law Center
I've had the most appalling service from Freshstart Law Center. As mentioned in a previous review, all they seem good at is marketing, up-selling, and sending out meaningless email "updates" which are completely useless to the actual client.
If you ever try emailing them, it is pointless as they never answer. If you leave a message, they NEVER call back.
I've used this company for three things:
1) A police clearance certificate - June 2018. This was appalling. They did not even start to process it for more than a month. Then came up with excuse after excuse, all the while they were lying to me. Took about 3 months I seem to recall.
2) Criminal Record Expungement: This actually went fairly smoothly. My main issue is that they had me pay for a presidential pardon, even though I only needed an expungement. I tried to get a refund of R1800, and now they have come up with some other "costs" and are trying to get me to pay another R500 more (instead of giving me the refund). And there is NO WAY to ever speak to anyone in their accounts dept.
3) Applied for a police clearance certificate. Paid another R1000 for the urgent priority, which is supposed to reduce the processing to 10 days. THAT WAS 2 MONTHS AGO. I call, email them daily to find out what/why/when, I leave messages. NOTHING...
After the terrible service I'd had previously, I made the effort to go into their offices, and met with Lizel who handled my previous PCC, and she looked me in the eye, and told me that she would personally make sure this one was dealt with efficiently/promptly.
I've tried in vain to speak to the CEO, Ansar Sykes, with no success. Seems he is either unaware, or does not care.
