I first got interested in opening a home based business in March 2014,Im a truckdriver for 18yrs and my wife is sickly, we wanted to make good money at home and I needed to care for my wife. So I did some research about becoming a freight broker and on May 23, 2014 I contacted Tom Mercer, CEO of Freight broker Institute and my 1st transaction was done for my wife(Monique) and myself for $340.00 through paypal. I paid for an online freight broker course that was taught by Tom Mercer through SKYPE and your computer. So my wife went to best buy bought us computers to start the class she spent close to $3,000.00. The class was for 3 1/2 weeks, the first night of class there were about 6 other students in the class. My wife and had questions for Tom and after class which is around 10pm est, we started talking with Tom and he began to get off school and more into how to make money through his business, which included the school itself freightbrokerinstitute by recruiting other people to sign up for his course.
We have signed contracts stating "Edward and Monique Summerville will be compensated 50% of revenue from student tuition and 40%revenue generated by onsite training".Tom at that time offered us a "franchise office management position". So we are just starting the freight broker and at the same time being offered positions in the company to recruit from 5 different states another 30% will be paid of all monthly sub-broker payments made by any new sub brokers brought in through their marketing efforts. My wife and I were offered a position of sub broker to market and recruit other people to sign up at freightbrokerinstitute, they can sign up as an agent or a sub broker and get paid a commission. Also we were required to pay $250.00 a month for a franchise fee that represents 5 states in where we were authorized to recruit from.So during the day my wife and I are marketing through indeed.com and craigslist to start. At night we are taking class also we were charged $85.00 a month for the use of Tom Mercers software www.shipperpro.com During this time communication was not difficult with Tom but soon after, Tom offered us a Partnership agreement for shares within shipperpro.com and [email protected] investments were Tom Mercer CEO and owner has 60% value, myself 20% and my wife 20% for a total investment of $7,000.00..So on june 6 2014 we paid $85.00 and then $250.00. through paypal on June 12 2014 we paid 2 transaction of $1,250.00 for a total of $2500.00 on June 12, 2014. on June 27, 2014 there were 2 more transactions of $1,260.00 for a total of $2,520.00. During this time frame my wife and I are actively recruiting and marketing. I paid $689.00 for a press release on PR WEB for the year for the sole purpose of marketing Tom Mercer freight broker software shipperpro and on July 8, 2014 after we paid the 7,000.00 investment we are partners by contract with Tom Mercer. We have not finished the course of learning how to become a freight broker.
Tom says Im going to make new contracts for you which he never did then we started losinf communication with him a day became 3 days then it became a week then it became 2 weeks. He wont return our emails or skypes or telephone calls other students who were promised work and the position of freight agent and actually find shippers and carriers and book loads were left hanging Tom ,none of the students can find him, students have paid for there course, have paid monthly subscriptions and also some like myself invested believing that I was a partner. This is FRAUD I spent a total of $9,735.00 I have dates and the contracts. I heard Tom has left the country to the Phillipines, he said he's married to a Philipino and he disappears. Im out a lot of money believing this man and was promised shares within his company theres a lot more to discuss I have witnesses, I have transactions, and documents please open a case for me and everyone who went through www.freightbrokerinstitute.net www.loadngologistics.com and www.shipperpro.com

Lying, Cheating, and Stealing
I paid $129 on March 27th for training with Tom Mercer. I also paid $50 for a certification and was promised that I would be able to move loads within a month. I continued to pay monthly fees of $25 and then Tom Mercer asked me for $4000 to invest in his request to become an asset based firm. I was turned down for the loan but he said for me to give him $250 every month until I've paid off the $4000. During this time I never moved a load and was constantly being torn down by Tom. It soon became apparent that he was not a man of his words as he would say I'll call you at such and such a time and he never did. I would Skype him, email him and call him and he never responded. During class he kept telling us he was in the hospital for this or that and couldn't have class. One time he told us he almost died with a bleeding kidney and was in the hospital for two days. I then started to question his excuses and all as I am a nurse and I know a person with a bleeding kidney that almost died would be in the hospital for more than two days if he was even in the USA. I found out through an ex employee of his (Nadia Loeschke) that he lives in Makita, Manila, Phillipines. So I know that his excuses were lies as I was a missionary for eight years overseas and the medical is non-comparable to US medicine. In other words two days for a bleeding kidney in the Phillipines? No WAY! He also asked me to recruit and told me to do it on Indeed.com. I spent about $228 recruiting for him and he refused to pay it back stating he never asked me to do it. I have proof as he asked me through Nadia and then he confirmed it once he fired her. He has lied and scammed me and others as he asks for money and then he disappears. He also calls us sub-brokers but there's no such thing. Anyone with "broker" in their title MUST carry their own insurance, authority, licenses, and permits. He asks you to pay him $85/month for his software which you never use and there's no training even on how to use it. He asks for another $250/month for "Tools" that you'll need in the business. I NEVER saw those tools or what my $250 was used for. Then he charges different amounts for his classes trying to convince everyone to take the sub-broker training. However, agents, sub-brokers, and brokers are all in the same class for the same amount of time getting the same teaching. Why the different prices. And then if he shows up for class we were lucky. I started classes on 4/14/14 and still have not completed them. I never moved a single load with him and the teaching that I did get had nothing to do with how to get loads and move them. I have so much to say but I'm going to let others voice their experiences as well because there's more than my self who have been taken. Luckily I didn't invest much - God protected my naivety in dealing with a con artist/scammer. I hope someone puts a stop to this as people are constantly getting ripped off.
